If Apollo had brought his son, Boxey, with him, Boomer and Starbuck to see the Pegasus as they were there to organize taking some of the Pegasus' fuel for the 220 civilian ships, would Sheba and some of the viper pilots of the Pegasus dare offend him and would Boxey dare yell at them for offending his grandfather, Adama, who became the leader of the Colonial Fleet after the Cylons destroyed the Colonies and committed mass murder, which included killing Adama's wife and their younger son, Zack? Certainly, Sheba wouldn't dare if she saw Boxey crying so hard in front of her before Baltar led the attack on the Galactica believing she's out of fuel.
Anne Lockharts beauty is just unreal.
Thanks for posting kind spirit!
The graphics are so clear and up close on this channel. Most enjoyable.
One of my favorite two part episodes of Battlestar Galactica.
2:14
Sheba & those warriors from the Pegasus who tried to stop Apollo, Starbuck & Boomer from getting some of the fuel from the Pegasus for the fleet didn't bother to think what Adama had been through since the Cylons attacked and destroyed the Colonies and that his wife, their son, Zac & Apollo's wife were killed by the Cylons and Apollo could've said to Sheba and the warriors that if they shoot them to stop the fuel from being sent to the unarmed civilian ships, they will make Apollo's son an orphan. Would they really live with themselves despite that Adama was made Commander of the fleet after the President was killed during the attack on the Atlantia?
Awful lot of friendly fire there, bucko
Another time, another place.
Loved the show... but hey, why are you firing at vipers.
Where's Murray the cop. There's no one in a police uniform.
Good old VHS video quality :>
Cómo Disfrute de niño con está serie y de mayor ygual 👍👍👍🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
Funny
Classic show
Lol. Can’t tell with her own eyes those are vipers. Vipers = friendlies
Such a great scene picked to remember the BG OG. Man, this was an enjoyable reminiscing.
Pegasus pilots were just ready for all the BS cheap tedious "who's a Cylon?" plot tricks in the reboot.
Always loved Sheba, named my cat after her.
I remember how stupid this entire encounter was....I mean, WHY didn't anyone scan the others' ship to SEE if they were colonial vipers/ships before you started shooting?? Sheba waited till the last moment to figure it out by turning on her scanner! OMG!! Dumb!!
Wish someone would pick up and expand the Galactica universe like they did for Star Wars. No one ever explained the Egyptian headress motif in the Viper pilot helmets. Such a cool design! That was the only clue to their connection to earth's past. The design fit right in. The remake series didn't delve into any ancient earth connections at all. I prefer the original series over the remake. The space battles in the remake were superior only because of advances in filming tech and cg over time. The physics were more accurate as well. Need really good writers like a Dave Filoni to make it happen. Would be nice to see this series again.
Yes they did. The introduction for the 1978 series, "There are those who believe that life here began out there, far across the universe... with tribes of humans... who may have been the forefathers of the Egyptians... or the Toltecs... or the Mayans. Some believe there may yet be brothers of man..."
There was some book called "Ancient Astronauts" which was about how "life here began out there" and had become popular back in the day, and show creator Glen Larson had read it and come up with the script for a story he called "Adam's Ark". So the ancient Egyptians headdresses were inspired by the flight helmets of the colonial viper pilots.
hi. idk if anybody comes here in the future, but... im doing this for my acting exam. Good scene if done right
Also doing this for my acting exam 😂 it's a good laugh.
The Odd Couple is such an amazing script. I've watched a number of these performance on You Tube and you guys are awesome! The timing is almost perfect. Bravo!
Great Oscar, great ensemble cast!
Perfect pacing of the dialogue....very nice!
I would love to see the whole episode. I only saw two parts. Love David Cassidy as an actor. I have seen him with Montalban, Ricardo. David Cassidy as a bad man and cruel husband
Very great tv show
Anyway, little Joe heard Pa call out, but Captain Johnson thought it was a trick and didn't trust Cochise.
Odd that Bojay & Sheba didn't come face to face with Apollo's son Boxey and apologize for almost killing his father before finding out that he & Starbuck are from the Galactica, which survived the attack on the Colonies like the Pegasus did.
Turning Sheba from bad ass viper ace into "just Apollo's girlfriend" was a travesty.
The same thing happened to Wilma Deering in Buck Rogers. Sheba was an exciting character when she was first introduced.
She still was a BAD ASS viper pilot but you gotta have a life
Anne Lockhart confirms she was asked to return for a proposed but Unproduced sequel series under Glen Larson in the late 90’s with the pilot plot seeing the return of Commander Cain and the Pegasus. That would have been Awesome to see. Sheba had so much potential. Total bad a**.
one of best episodes of the season.
Except for one thing. Starbuck and Apollo were not IN the same squadron during the Cylon attack on the colonies. They were assigned to squadrons on different battlestars.
In the 1978 series Apollo and Starbuck with both in Blue squadron aboard Galactica at the time of the attack.
Starbuck was supposed to be patrolling with Apollo the day of the attack but he feigned illness so that Zack could take his place. Zack had just graduated as a warrior and was excited about a routine patrol. Zack's top engine was hit when they discovered the Cylon attack force and he died just short of the fleet when Apollo went ahead to warn of the attack. Zack could have been saved if Adar had allowed all Battlestars to launch as soon as they knew it was a double cross.
@@roberttbrockway "they"? Adama was the only one who was sure; Baltar was bluffing and mindfucking Adar until it was far too late. But you are right; Adar was stupid not to take Adama seriously. Launching everything might have preserved more battlestars intact, but it still wouldn't have helped the colonies; the words "The planet's in flames, Commander" were spoken too soon after the battle/while it was still wrapping up.
I really appreciated Bojay's actor (Jack Stauffer) in this scene. Great voice inflection. From the incredulous, unbelieving "WHAT?" when Sheba said the pilots were human to the excited "Starbuck?!?" ... I actually believed his emotions at those points.
Haha that made my day!
Good cutoff for a teaser. 😉
Well, what else could it be but Cylons flying Vipers. Yeah, right.
Thank you that someone else was thinking along those lines. This scene is a good lesson about how friendly fire incidents happen. Sheba and Bojay did not verify their targets before they attacked - and I always wondered how they never recognized they were attacking Colonial Vipers.
farting in a space suit ohhhhhhhhh the good times
God I wish Sheba had blown Apollo's ass out of the sky!
Even as a kid watching the show, which I loved, I found Apollo too angry and argumentative to really like. Today I'd use the word "insubordinate."
Never thought I'd hear Starback so excited for a BoJay!
That name would get memed to death these days.
I don't get it. BoJay was a former pilot in their squadron, so, why wouldn't Starbuck be excited? What's up with the name BoJay??
Don't the Vipers have IFF transponders?
Wouldn't eyeballs be sufficient? It's not like they are miles apart. If they are close enough to fire upon then they're close enough for visual ID
@@dougs7367 go to 0:27 - if they were within visual range, then why would Sheba need her Viper's computer and sensors to realize that they were chasing after other Vipers?
@@OptimusWombat Thats kind of my point.. if they are firing on them then they are within visual range. Combat ins BSG is alot like aerial combat in WW2. And wouldn't they use their long ranger sensors to identify the targets before firing anyway?
@@dougs7367 you wrote: "wouldn't they use their long ranger sensors to identify the targets before firing anyway?", except that if you watch the clip again you can clearly see that Apollo and Starbuck were already taking fire from Bojay _before_ Sheba called him off after confirming with her sensors.
Great sci fi show that should have lasted longer. Cain was a great character. Pegasus could have been a spin off series from Battlestar.
In the late 90's, there was talk of a Pegasus only movie, there was a website up and everything, but it never went further than that. The only thing on the website was "Coming Soon".
Agreed there was lots of potential there.
It's possible that Lloyd Bridges wasn't interested in starring in a "BATTLESTAR PEGASUS" series.
it was a great show
It still IS a great show. I own the REAL Battlestar Galactica on dvd. I've even tried streaming the 2004 version a few times. It sucks as bad every time as it did the first time I watched it. Nobody beats Korne Greene as Commander Adama.
Never leave your wingman! 😜
I have always wondered if there were other surviving battlestars other than Galactica and Pegasus.
@The Mystery Man Who knows, maybe one of them survived the Battle of Cimtar.
@The Mystery Man Yeah, it's canon by now that the other battlestars were destroyed, but it could have been an opportunity for a spin-off where another battlestar survived with the fighters that Galactica didn't pick up. It would probably be worse off than the Pegasus though. Good job listening to the background voices, I never knew they mentioned other battlestars during the battle.
@The Mystery Man I apologize for not clarifying my statement. I know the battlestars at Cimtar were doomed except for Galactica. I'm refering more to battlestars that were not at Cimtar. Cain didn't know the Galactica survived until Sheba and Bojay ran across Apollo and Starbuck. I also read somewhere that Larson sent plans to the costume department for a Battlestar Prometheus, including helmet crests and uniform patches. According to that report, Galactica would have discovered Prometheus had BSG received a proper season 2.
I think the other surviving Battlestar's met up at Borallus and didn't go through the short cut because of the mines and lack of pilots to lead the way. Borallus had plenty of supplies and a possibly a Cylon outpost, but with several surviving Battlestar's it wouldn't have a been a problem, probably very few Cylon raiders since they were all at Cimtar.
ah yes, youtube recommended me this
Is that Cheryl Ladd?
No. But Cheryl Ladd was in another episode.
ギャラクティカはこのツタンカーメンみたいなヘルメットが特徴的で良かったですね!
She's so besessive 🤣
Bojay and Sheba would never forgive themselves if they had killed Apollo and Starbuck. They almost made Apollo's son Boxey an orphan and Adam would've been in emotional shock of losing another son.
As Would Athen atlosing another brother
Adam and Athen? Perhaps you meant Adama and Athena.
I liked the original series a lot better than the new Battlestar Galactica.
What I didn't like was the recycled space battles scenes. The non-recycled space battle scenes were definitely a plus in the new series.
@@sangmoon2464 Better special effects are always nice, but it's the characters and storyline that make me enjoy a series, so for that reason I prefer the original.
@@rowanaforrest9792 It's not so much "better" effects as "not the same effect all over again". Even when I was nine or ten, I caught myself rolling my eyes over that one occasionally and it did spoil the enjoyment somewhat.
@@Ensign_Cthulhu Oh yes, I always noticed the reused special effects. I didn't know then, but the 1978 show had to reuse effects so much because the network gave them neither the budget nor the time to film even half as many new effects as they wanted. Considering their budget and time constraints, I think they did well.
@DigitalShooter: Agreed, there's a number of things about the rebooted Battlestar Galactica that I personally disliked, and while the gender-swap of Boomer and Starbuck are amongst them, that takes a backseat to everything else that was changed that I disliked in the rebooted Battlestar Galactica
The fact that that they were firing on fighter craft without first identifying what it is they were shooting at is what i find a bit confusing.
@julius uzu: Yeah, the Warriors of the Battlestar Pegasus, tended to shoot first and (maybe) question themselves afterwards. And aside from Commander Cain's daughter 'Sheba', there didn't seem to be much 'diversity' when it came to the Pegasus' Warrior complement.
@@WalterDWormack214 What a grug brained ice cold midwit take.
@subliminal juggernaut I wonder if there was any Socialtor's on the Pegasus?
@@JENDALL714 The Galactica didn't have one. Cassiopeia became a med tech.
@@WalterDWormack214 One thing to remember is that Galactica could bring in new recruits from the civilian convoy if they lost warriors. The Pegasus couldn't since it was one ship all alone.
