17” Black Rhino Roku wheels and 285/70/17 Falken WildPeak AT3w tires on stock F150....will they fit?
We install 17” Black Rhino Roku wheels in matte bronze and P-rated Falken WildPeak AT3W all-terrain tires on my stock 2017 F-150 XLT AWD. They push the limit of tire that will fit with no lift or leveling kit.
Next up, a Bilstein or Eibach leveling kit....what would you guys choose?

What does a cop carry off duty? Police Officer’s EDC (everyday carry).

In this video I go over what I carry off duty and talk a little bit about why. What’s in your EDC? What do you think of mine? Leave a comment below! Individual pieces start around 2:10. Thanks for watching! Watch my Trayvax Element review here: ruclips.net/video/MJSuHNRTj3s/видео.html

Beautiful tire and wheel combo. Did I miss you saying what the off set of the wheels are?
@@Justforfun-ek7et thanks, I don’t think I mentioned it in the video. They’re +12 offset
@ nice, appreciate the reply!
Got the bilsteins on yet?
I was able to get BFG KO3 in size 285/70 R17 stuffed in my wheel wells without a lift at all, they are mounted on Fifteen52 Patrol HD wheels at a zero offset. No running at all.
How do these ride compared to stock 20s? Looking for a better ride on my 2018
@@5starlawncare taller sidewalk and a couple pounds heavier for each wheel/tire led to a better ride overall. Lower gas mileage but better ride quality
Great setup… I have almost the same. The 48 is perfect for me as well.
Great gun!
All the same gear that a normal civilian carries daily! Pretty simple. Actually I carry two firearms .
Look at me with my 33” tires on my cheap ass ford let me guess your name is Daryl and your wife is also your first cousin ?
Sick EDC ! Question.... Do you display your badge while off duty ? also can officers display their badge ( carry on belt or neck ) when out of jurisdiction and off duty ?
thanks for the upload , so useful and nice choice of wheels !!!
Very nice ! 👍🏻 It’s always fun trying a new set-up 😁 … enjoy it man !
You got to get the mos my guy .
I’ve got a 17 and 19 with the MOS. Also great choices.
Love the setup
Thanks!
yeah I don't know why everything is 20 inch now it's too big 17 18 is big enough
I have the exact truck, I also I’m getting that tire. What is the reason for getting a 17” rim over the stock size ? Pros, cons ?
I like the look of the 17” wheel and it gives you a lot more sidewall for airing down if needed on a trail.
You have a link where you bought them at
where's the donut holder?
Does the extra rubber give it more cushion
I’ve got the same truck, anyway we can get the wild peaks on the original 20 inch wheel?
I'm surprised they rub tbh. I've heard of guys running this tire size on 17s with no lift or level with a 0 offset and not rubbing. I planned on running this tire and rim size on 6+ offset expecting to not rub. Guess I'll find out at some point lol.
Do those wheels have the +12 offset?
Yes they are
@@OptimalLM I am looking at a set of 17" wheels with +5 offset but am worried they will rub with a 285 on stock suspension.
@@BryanHaikin I can’t speak to the +5, but the +12 is very close on both fronts. If I got it leveled it would be absolutely no issue. Hope this helps!
@@OptimalLM Appreciate the info man!
how would it look if they were -12 offset and with flares?
What kind of jacket is that? I want one
It’s a Carhartt #101492 Quick Duck Jefferson Traditional Jacket. I believe discontinued.
Nice wheels btw. Was seeing if lt285/70r17 would fit gen12, fingers crossed. Thanks
You’re telling me you don’t wear a full sized axe necklace, 550 paracord shoes, and a craftsman tool box in your back pocket every day?
Haha no way!
@@OptimalLM lol gotta love it! Great video man
<--- this non off duty cop has a crippling headache.
I have the same set up, how many psi do you run ? Mine is at 38 and I feel like its too high.
I run mine at 37-38psi. I drop it down if I’m out camping or running around on a forest road.
provide me your factory tire size and factory tire pressure on your door pillar so I can provide proper adjusted air pressure on your new size.
@@TC-rw6gk its 35 psi
@@huyryo I believe your factory tires were 275/55r20 at 35 PSI? moved into the LT285/70R17?
get rid of that wallet, you don't need that thing
Nice set, like your flag too👍
Fast forward to the 5 min mark if anyone just wants to see the tires on the truck
Why the P285/70R17 over the LT285/70R17?
I didn’t need the extra thickness or weight
A police in the US can afford an iPhone, yet in Indonesia here, some police cant even afford a cheap samsung. This really shows a difference between 1st world and 3rd world countries
Watch qvo he has coupns alot and if u need stippling look at frankcastlecustoms
If the new tires don't rub than why would you put a leveling kit in? The truck looks great as is. Are the new rims wider or do they have different offset from the stock ones?
The front right rubs when turning to the right completely and when backing with the wheel turned. It’s minor so a level is in the future but I have yet to get one and things have been fine. They have a different offset from the stock ones.
2 inch level kit and Bilstein shocks 👍
Curious increase or decrease on MPG?
Definitely decreased the MPG significantly. Between the tires and pulling a landscape trailer 2+ times per week, I’ve dropped 5-7MPG
What year is your truck? Is it lifted? My 2019 F150 4x4 Supercrew came with stock 20” wheels - I’m not lifting the truck but now have Method MR306 17” 8.5 - will the Falken Wildpeak AT3w if they are 285/70/R17 ... ???
It is a 2017 4x4. No lift and my tires are 285/70/r17. +12 offset
@@OptimalLM So you did a 2.5” level?
No, haven’t done anything yet. Level is in the near future though.
Dootie 😂
What offset are those wheels? I’m thinking about doing some 17’s and I like that size tire. Just wondering if I should go slightly smaller on tire or not depending on the offset.
They are +12 offset I believe. Love the way they turned out.
@@OptimalLM Change the offset and your see all the differance. ruclips.net/video/j_jXxfQw2rQ/видео.html
Just ordered those tires on 17x9 Fuel Beast. How do you like them so far, road noise? What psi are you running?
You gave me a gem with the knife. I own a bunch of the Trayvax wallets, always come back to the element.
Interesting. I have some DEA, Police, and ATF (don't hate me) friends. They all carry the same pistol off duty, a Glock 27.
So how did they do in the snow? Video coming soon?
They do awesome in the snow! Definitely hope to get another video out specifically for the snow sooner than later!
awesome wheel and tire setup. Gonna look so good once you level it out. I'm actually getting a similar setup for my tundra. Going with same size Falken's but method mr301 in 17x8.5 with a 0 offset. Should be a perfect setup on the truck. nothing ridiculous but will look a million times better.
That’ll be great!
They look great ! Love the bronze. That's what I run.
Thanks! They turned out better than expected.
I got lucky when I bought my ford truck last year. It was previously owned by the mechanic at the dealership so he already put on a better aggressive tires.
Very nice!
Good choice for a more aggressive tread pattern in your Wisconsin winters. So many times I’ve seen trucks in the ditch because of bad traction and the focal point is absent. Really like the bronze rims on the new ones. Good job! A lift kit may be in order for the tight tolerances around the wheel wells. Keep em’ coming......
Thanks, I really like how the bronze turned out l. The lift is next on the list!
Respect bro can you do more police videos of your gear?
Thanks man! I’m planning on a lot more gear videos this year so stay tuned!
I don't see the kit coming with a tourniquet on the site. Is this or another "edc" med kit you'd recommend, more of one to keep in my truck
When I ordered it from them the contents and the tourniquet were add ons to the case itself from a drop down menu. I’m not sure if it’s the same now but I think it is.
@@OptimalLM Currently sold out, but I will check when it's in stock! Could be why the drop down isn't there. Do you have a larger "truck" one you'd recommend?
@@MotorCitySol I’ve been happy with my F150 so that’d be my recommendation. I have the 2.7L EcoBoost and have no complaints.
@@OptimalLM Oh, I meant as a larger med kit that stays in the truck
@@MotorCitySol haha gotcha. I’d just recommend a solid go bag and putting together your own kit if you wanted to build a bigger one. Everything I’ve seen that’s already put together is crazy expensive.
So much gun safety in there...
Love realistic edc like this! good stuff!
Petter DV thanks!
I really like your coffee mug
Timothy Powell thanks, definitely my go to
look like a poor gun.
