1985 Mazda RX7 frame undercarriage inspection for rust
Can you please tell me where you purchased the valve ? Can you please send information for that whole kit set.
I think you are using it incorrectly. That glass "lid" is meant to fill the opening when not in use.... so it can be used like a regular table.
why did you cut old heat shrink off?? should of left it them you could tell its the propane assemble...
Why would you remove all of the galvanized piping and add all that black junk. ?? You added fittings that are rotting away and more black steel to rot away with it
Any idea where else to get this valve? Mine has a 55,000 BTU/hour
Can I do this with any propane firepit?
I don't know if this is true but the values look identical besides the orifice? The natural gas one is smaller because of the high pressure. So I think you could have gotten away with just replacing the orifice with a bigger one and replacing the hose with a nature gas one.
I'm thinking the same. I had a Propane BBQ I got from Sears years ago, and discovered the difference is just a larger orafice on each valve. I went to a store with a bunch of drill bits a bit larger than what fit my propane one, and tested the size of the same BBQ but NG at the store, drilled my orifaces and has been working great for probably 20 yrs now.
Exactly
Great resource video for me
Can you point me to the time where there's a fire?
I got this same model in 2022. Here are the fire times and how long a bottle will last. I suspect about a 6-7 hour full heat level per bottle. Fire Table Times: 4 Hours High + 7.5 Hours Low
I have a fire pit meant to work with propane, made by a different manufacturer. I understand that these conversion kits are universal. Is that true? Could I use this conversion kit with my fire pit? Thanks
Has this started to rust or fall apart? I live in MI like to leave it outside year round. Is the cover sufficient for waterproofed?
No rust. I live on the coast of NS. If I don’t have rust no one will
@@mt742 Good to know, has the black tile/glass gotten scratched?
Just a note the heat shrink tubing is to cover the mesh screen, valve and burner tube inlet to restrict the oxygen intake. Without the heat shrink, the flame becomes quite blue when converted to natural gas.
Thanks, Dad picked up a 1985 GSL-SE and this was good overview of what I need to look for.
Hello , I am wondering , as I can not find a video on it. But I bought a Vermont direct vent fireplace..it happened to be propane ,I was told it was dual fuel ..any way the tag does say it cannot be converted however I am wondering if that is about liability issues ? As why can't the firebox be replaced with all the things here ? Such as regulator and orfice? ..I would love any info as I spent a few hundred and I love how it looks
Great video Mark. I just received mine today model 403 with the accessories as well. I was just curious if the heat sink on the fire table really does the job of blocking the heat towards the decking. As Chris mentioned below, it looks like you have a composite decking and so do I so I'm also wondering if it is necessary to place a fire proof mat or something for the fire table to sit on to prevent any damage to the decking. Thanks
Hey Mark, Nice video btw, I will do the same conversion as soon as the conversion kit comes back in stock at Outland Living... I like the look and heat from the propane! It's a GREAT product! But since I have a natural gas outlet on my patio, I believe It would be dumb to not convert it and never care about changing propane tank... Do you like it so far with natural gas compared to propane? Is the flame not visible anymore... I don't want to do the conversion than swap back to propane... Also, does it consume a lot of gas? Most of the time I run my fire at the minimum... Is it more efficient on natural gas compared to propane or vice-versa? Big thanks! If anyone knows any answers feel free to respond =) Cheers
Ok so does any know the name of the kit?
Outland sells their own NG kits on their website
Hey Mark I was wondering did you put anything underneath your table when you set it on your deck. It looks like your deck is composite
thanks for the video. Helpful.
Can you give us an update on how the tables holding up?
I have owned two tables for 2 years. They are incredible units, best in the business IMO. If you ever need to contact the company, they are amazing to deal with. Can't recommend enough. Similar tables are hundreds more for lessor quality.
@@mt742 Any rust issues? I live in MI and want to leave it outside year round.
Very Good!..
Anyone watching this video should note that the heat shrink wrap does NOT go where he put it. It's supposed to cover the orifice and venturi tube. This explains the lack of flame. There is too much air getting in. I've seen a previous comment stating that you can't see the flame. This is why. Make sure to follow the manual for that portion of the conversion because the video is incorrect. Otherwise it's a great video. :)
Yep. Absolutely correct. Could be quickly fixed just by wrapping some pvc (electrical) tape around the venturi tube to close it up.
Little cavalier with the cardboard there buddy
Always check for leaks first before shrink tapped
Great video! Where did you purchase the kit from?

Awesome video ! You didn't mention if the amount of heat changed by the conversion. My understanding is that propane burns much hotter than natural gas. The pyramid patio heater you are showing is exactly like mine and it is saying 42,000 BTU .... does this drop significantly when its converted to natural gas??? What did you find ??? Thanks
Add a high pressure regulator and you’ll have a much larger flame.
What psi regulator do you recommend?
Yeah, spill the beans if you have any experience. I suppose that will drain the bottles faster though……
I just converted mine to natural gas as wel. And same issue you cannot see the flame during the day and idk why and it pisses me off
Cover the venturi holes and you'll have a nice flame.
@@badfisssh41 Like there are too many holes if using natural gas? what % of the venturi holes should be covered? how would you cover them in a sharp way? thanks man!!
Great video! I want to do the same thing but it looked like there was no flame? You should do another video of it at night time. Thank you!
Outland needs you on the payroll reviewing their installation booklets! This saved me a lot of time and unnecessary work. The instructions have you flipping over the table and removing the top, to install the 2 brackets. Thank you very much!
the flame was invisible??????
haha there's no flame at all
Great video. I just purchased the table and I was curious about the natural gas conversion kit.
Just bought the table and appreciate this video and the conversion video since I plan on doing the same, but 10 kids, God bless
How do you like it thus far? Any issues, rust, scratches, tears etc?
Did you ever get any rust taken care of?,I would like to see an updated inspection please.
this is so sad but, every old car have his rust spots and that tells the story of the car.
