Oh...I dont know if you can import a pic to Gibb though. If your file is in the drop down list when you import and then it will support, if not then maybe it will not let you. I have never import a pic/image to gibbscam so no exp here :)

If you copy the mdd to folder...you can just select the machine on the list in yr part file/program.

You mean 3d model turns blue? It's Gibbs color. You can change to what color you want. I never really care...move yr mouse to model, right click...body type...stock is blue, fixture is red.... part is gray

I mean the checkbox. The little square you tick to select some option on the toolpath, like for example turn on coolant or Cutter radius compensation and so on. It might be just a Windows appearance setting. On my Gibbs are just black and white..there are not so obvious and I wanted to know if there is any setting you did for that or it just how it looks.@@cucocnc

@cristinelpricop those check boxes is Gibbs's color. The coolant check box and stuffs below that depends on your MDD. If yr mdd has thr coolant or thr air... then it should show up for you to check or un check. Mine is always black n white also :)

I do not know how to made MDD though :)

It has been a while with 3ax, 5ax is only couple years :) I don't have full 5ax works alot here so just playing here and there.

If you have round stock like that and you want to engrave front face? If you do 3ax machine then you stand that round up and do engraving. In GibbsCAM you highlight the face...right click and select align face...the option just under extract geometry....therefore that front face will be up and you do yr engrave.

Island engraving? What do you mean? If I understand correctly, you want yr letters pop up like islands? If that case...it's more like milling though...not engrave anymore.

Yes sir, I did it with milling polar and finish area between letter to letter @@cucocnc

If it is cad file then yes...if png, jpeg...then no. You can try by go to menu...file...import...then select the file you want to import in.

Ball nose tool to deburr on 3ax? Why do you do that? Can you give me example? or Explain what do you want to do? Because if just deburr or chamfer then use chamfer tool

If you turn "stock to display" it's only for show. If you turn to "stock" be careful with this because sometimes you use model as stock to make yr program and it looks at that is the STOCK. In short, if you just need to render yr program to see if anything wrong with yr program then turn stock display only.
