Nothing. His conduct is in question because he didn’t use the appropriate venue. 1-he overstepped his authority as a commissioner & 2-disrespected all those officers receiving awards. The officer was tried and convicted in the view of public opinion.

George David Again, not a phony, look up the definition or use another word. Perhaps he should have done as you suggest. It does appear to be an unplanned statement. However, this does not excuse the ill actions of the specific officer in question. Consider what Mr. Gelin has gone through. Take a moment and consider it. Being falsely arrested from start to finish. Again falsely arrested. An officer who does not serve and protect, manipulates law and language to arrest a law abiding citizen in order to bring a man to heel as one would a dog. The bad officer’s ego and abuse of the powers granted to him* Are shameful. You shouldn’t defend a bad police officer.

canninerash0311 Mr. Glein specifically scolded his bully, it’s doubtful it was a joyful moment as you suggest. Considering what this man went through with the officer in question, arguably a disgrace to his uniform, as much as it appears to be the case. This should not reflect badly on law abiding officers true to their oath to serve and protect. What Mr. Gelin said was necessary. Perhaps in the moment, but still necessary, may this highlighted story now nation wide shine a light of truth.

It's interesting how he waited so long to make a production out of the situation clearly presenting an underlying message. All the commissioner did was make himself a political target, and a fool with no class. His actions are equally comparable to our current administration. In conclusion you've failed to recognize, gather or research any testimony from the officer/report/staff as well (not exactly fair and impartial, it's mostly one-sided). I agree it was necessary but not in that arena. I could sense the tension from everyone in that room including his colleagues. Just because someone cuts in front of you in line at Target doesn't mean you yell at the top of your lungs "calling them out on it." It's essentially the same thing.

Steven A Mr. Gelin did a brave and admirable thing; which was to shine light on the wrongs of sheriff deputy Joshua Gallardo. Good law enforcement should be admired and commended. Joshua Gallard should reflect on his actions against a law abiding citizen. Manipulating law,language, and a police report to paint Mr. Gelin as a criminal to justify a false arrest. Stay tuned, as there is more to come. God bless your passion Steven, even if it is misplaced. May you never be falsely arrested for exercising your rights as a law abiding citizen of these great United States.

Black Star that was the time and place. Every report has confirmed his charges were dropped based off of the video evidence he submitted. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

If there was any validity to his complaint...why has he waited 4 years to say something...it's 4 years and counting and he has not done anything to have this "rogue" officer fired...I'm still wondering why. He needs to protect the community from this "rogue" cop...before he does it again!!! IF there is any truth to his complaint
