Jonathan Carswell Racism and I, The "N" Word and What Color Was Jesus?
W sermon
I love Gpa!!!❤
Let us pause for a moment to reflect on the fact that god tried to give animals to Adam FIRST, and finally acquiesced to make another human, but not even out of dirt this time.
I was an Elder for many year’s in the Stone - Campbell Movement and we never allowed the preacher nor anyone else preach politic’s from the Pulpit or in Bible class.
Sounds like singing Angels beautiful
Thank you ma’am!
Great lesson, Dan.
Beautiful!!
Amen. Consult God and repent.
Thank you for teaching this pastor.
Do you have to speak in tongues to be on your way to heaven Just trying to learn
Thanks to Jim Hartman - a great lesson.
We missed you Ms Jan, we are praying for you!
Thank you for turning the screen around :)
Thank you, Dan. And Perry church family.
Your imagery at about an hour seems more accurate if the ship were sent to save you and you grabbed the rope hanging from the ship and held on. The way we live you can say you are saved from the sea of sin when you are hanging from that rope ship side. Now the captain says hold on til you come to shore. You will slip and fall back into the waves, but if your struggle you’ll find yourself with your head above water to ask for help loud enough for the ship to have its speed adjusted for you to get your grip. If you were in the boat there is no need to fall if the vessel of God is sound. Your strength is the effort to hold to the truth which is that rope.
You lose your salvation by having an unrepentant heart. If you don’t seek repentance because you are “covered” that isn’t holy living. Confidence in salvation through Christ means approaching him for cleansing because he covered sin but you run from under the covering. This sounds like a weird take on irresistible grace or once always saved as it removes the need for God-fearing, contrite heart, discerning actions or thoughts.
Amen. I hope all those at your congregation learn something from this sermon. I attend a church of Christ, and think many church of Christ members might struggle with this. I previously thought that losing your salvation can happen through just one act of sin. But for a few years now I have come to believe exactly what you just preached. It makes sense now when Paul says in Roman 7:18-20 "For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do-this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it." A lot of preachers stay away from controversial subjects like this. Keep up the good work Dan.
Good lesson today Dan. I really enjoyed it. I'm watching it for the 2nd time. Love and miss all of my church family. See you next Sunday, Lord willing.
Just if I may add to a wonderful lesson this encouragement. While our brother rightfully says that as individuals we only need worry about ourselves being prepared but I wanted to add once what is accomplished we need to help others find the “ark” or the “way” to get transferred from the world and into the kingdom of his beloved Son. Colossians 1:13. Much love. Let’s help challenge these false ideas and get people to turn to the truth. A great place to start is denominational friends. A problem I see with brethren today is we are not prepared enough to defend the truth and Jesus told us to be through the apostles writings which were the very words of God. We can’t let false teaching prevail and snare those tho accept it.
Brother Dan you speak the words that show the greatness that God has laid out for the over comers. Direction in our lives to work in the Kingdom that others will share in his glory. Wm
A very good lesson Dan injoyed it
Thank you brother Loyd!
Remember only way to repent and be saved by Christ act 11:14-18, Luke 11:9-13 just follow only the original gospel tradition teaching not churches but Jesus will guide you personally to the end John 10:1-6, zeph 3:9!
The Bible is completely A-millennial up untill Jesus gave John the book of "Revelation" in 96 AD. There is nothing else in Scripture that even remotely hints at a interim or temporary (1000 yrs.) reign of Christ. For instance: All our brothers & sisters in Christ that died prior to 96 AD. (Not having Revelation), would not have any concept of a 'Millennial Reign' because all other scripture states of a everlasting, eternal, without end, etc kingdom. Both Isaiah 11 & 65 are describing Revelation 21 (New heavens & Earth) - Is. 65: 17 Isaiah 2: 4 "... neither shall they learn war ANY MORE". This makes a literal Rev. 20: 8 impossible. Besides, are Premillennialists saying that satan's deception of "the nations" is mightier than Christ's reigning with a "Rod of Iron"?! Plus, there is no scripture stating that they're beating their "plowshare & pruning hooks" back into weapons of war. There is so much more wrong with a literal interpretation of Rev 20 : 1-9. It also would be in direct contradiction to Daniel 9: 24. I see this passage as a summary (recapitulation) of the Church age in parable form. After all, this passage is coming from Jesus and consider His teaching style in the 4 Gospels: Parables, metaphors, similes, analogies, imagery, symbolism, etc.
I cannot see how you have come to this position, however, the Holy Spirit has scolded me one too many times for arguing with people on eschatology. The millennial reign of Christ could not be spelled out much clearer for us.
Thank you brother for teaching on the truths within the word of God. This subject is talked about in the community need to help those that lack knowledge.
Both Jesus and Paul warn concerning the topic, "take heed that no man deceive you..."... Matt 24:4, 2 Thess 2;3. If the rapture fable were true, there wouldn't be any need for this warning. Those who do not "take heed" become the next generation of deceivers.
Thank you brother for this lovely video God bless you brother in Jesus name 💗
A very good lesson Dan ( Makes you start thinking , and thats a good thing ) Tell your wife Happy Mother's Day if you will
Thank you brother and I absolutely will tell her!
“Jesus is in our boat!”
