Hey is there any air conditioning in ur dorm?
Yes! I believe all dorms at the University have AC :)
I'm looking at applying for 21-22 and id love to go there!!!
That is awesome to hear! It is great to be a Hawkeye! Let me know if you have any questions!!
Where did you get your tapestry? So cute!

Thank you so much! I’m gonna be freshman at Iowa in the fall and your video was so helpful. ☺️
I'm so happy to hear that! Very excited for you!! Go Hawkeyes!
I can’t wait to go to Iowa when I’m older
This is awesome to hear :) it's an amazing school!
Im an incoming freshman at iowa this year! I'm so excited but this definitely helped ease some anxiety!
This is great to hear :) It will be a great year!!
If you had one residence hall you would suggest for incoming freshman which one would it be?
It depends on your major and if you have a preference on either side of the river! Everyone loves Catlett because it's newer, but it can be harder to get into. The rooms aren't that different for each building, its more the things the buildings have and what side of the river you prefer!
Katie Kositzke So they are all basically the same size? I don’t want to get stuck in a super small room lol
@@Mxr24 yes! they are all about the same size and every dorm has A/C too! I think the Catlett has higher ceilings, but because of it the floor is a little smaller (like a foot smaller so not much) Every dorm is about the same size so no matter where you end up it'll look almost the exact same!
west side is honestly not that bad as ppl make it seem. I lived in rienow this past year and it was perfect for me and I worked at Hillcrest. peterson is the newer one of the west side. living on west side makes u feel like ur living in ur own little community and u know pretty much everyone, plus west side dorms are closer to kinnick and carver making it easier to walk to kinnick and take a bus to carver. and close to the hospital
@@isabelmartinez7438 Yes!! thank you for this, I feel like people assume that the west side is super far but my friends that lived on that side loved it too :) thank you!!
Im going to Iowa next year and want to stay in either Burge or Catlett but I know its really hard to get into Catlett, how many of the rooms in Burge have been renovated so far? Like do most people get renovated rooms or are only certain floors renovated?
So Burge has "halls" on each floor! If I'm not mistaken sections one and two on every floor were renovated last year. I was in section 3 so mine was not, but I heard that they might be renovating it this summer, I am not sure though so if you really want the renovated rooms then try for sections 1 and 2!
Im going to iowa next year and will have to choose a dorm soon. What dorms do you recommend on the east side?
I was in Burge, and I loved the central location and I also worked in the dining hall so being in Burge was really nice to just walk downstairs to get to work. Currier has the best workout room in my opinion, but you can get over there from other east side halls. Catlett has higher ceilings, a lot of people really like it, it can be hard to get into because it's newer. Stanley is actually really nice too I stayed there for orientation and I really liked it. I haven't been in Daum so I can't speak on it. Honestly, all of the dorms have so many nice amenities and are available to students even if you're not from that dorm so whatever one sounds best for you!! Burge is partially renovated and I think is getting it's next renovation soon so that is another thing to think about!! :)
I love your videos! I was so excited when I saw this :)
Thank you so much!! :)
which residence hall was this?
Burge!
that was a good game i watched on tv. I always make it back up to one in the year
I’m gonna stay in Iowa.... I’m never gonna move.
