Super dope
Good beat brotha I really liked that young man keep pushing don't let these mf's stop ya process
@@Allious131 😤😤😤💪🏾💪🏾
Super dope sample.... 🤭
I make beats & master on android. Assessment please. Pp pPeaceOne-Love
you cant compare a hybrid to a standalone
also take consideration of your syllable count
active in the community, thats whats up. God bless
Always
People get so bitter the second you mention a old machine. I use 6 different beat machines and they all offer something special to the moment. How are you 40+ and sensitive about us 26 year olds carrying on the life of boombap. You decided to watch said 26 year old. Bouji ahhh people
Keep up the good work, my brother. Friendly advice, and I mean this with the utmost respect... Piano lessons or just practicing scales and chord progressions opens up new possibilities in your journey to the top. Knowing how to play helps you become less reliant on cheatcodes, AI, or sampled loops. This is something that took me a long time to learn as a dj turned beat maker. That being said, do your thing and don't let the haters bring you down.
@@Ron234-qs7zm thank you I plan on taking piano lessons soon and growing with y'all on this channel 💯 I'm tranna be the best
Buy a microphone please.
I have 2 mics but considering I was in my studio I didn't think I needed it is the audio that bad?
Just get adapters so u can plug the turntable staright into the mpc.
And those are stereo not mono.
Frick yeah brother. I was rockin beats in a 16ft trailer just 8 months ago. Keeeeeeeeeeeep BUMPIN
A lot of people in here with too many words to say from anonymous accounts Peace bro! Have fun out there
LOL "one of the best instruments ever made" proceeds to not be able to hook up the SAMPLER to the most heavily sampled source (record player) what a joke. this mpc didnt even come with RCA i/o LOL. let alone a second usb on the back for a USB TURNTABLE....... as long as you enjoy it though young god. this machine is just a midi keyboard with a bigger screen.. 4 q links? i mean what is this supposed to be? i can pull out my ren from 2012 and can chop samples in 2 seconds because it has so many q links. as i said man, if youre enjoying it thats dope. but lowkey this machine is pathetic on akais part. id get this over the key 63 but thats not saying much. the mpc live 2 with a cheap 20 dollar midi keyboard is still lightyears ahead of this red toy you got here
@@lb2235 Rca is a pretty old input much i prefer quarter inch that's the only reason I wasn't able to sample directly but hey if you hate the new gear that's on you but don't knock me for liking it
@@clocksyn it has input to sample straight from turntable
good review
Thank you

I had a Korg M1 which was its predecessor ,very similar synthesis and was great for pads
I have the X3. Bought it 30 years ago
24 is kinda young lol I'm 46 been making beats longer than you've been alive. With that said , good video. Keep doing what you're doing my man 👍
I had a few of these era Korgs, 01W, N364, X3 and found them a bit frustrating as they always sounded dull compared to equivalent Roland or Yamaha machines. I loved the Wavestation and M1 and the later Z1s and Tritons and Trinitys but I think Korg lost their mojo for a bit in the 90s.
Agree....After the Korg M1 came out (which was the world best selling Keyboard at the time....Korg eventually got laid back & lazy) Roland came up with the XP-80 series after, & blew the Korg N & X series straight out of the water....Korg later fought back rivalling Roland with the Trinity then the ever popular Tritons which put them back on the map & the rest was history.
wow, those sounds take me back
I have one , and absolutely it has a very distinct sound, thank you for the video, 😊 I bought it brand new in 1997, the sax sound blew me away- I actually used in on a track from my album last year called 'A mist clears' Michael Daniels Bandcamp, Navigator is the album. Hey thanks again dude for bringing attention to it, hope you get inspired 😎
@@mik300z I'm definitely getting inspired every time I play it this thing is my new best friend
korg never seld me lower then i payd for same as yamaha.
another spliff bro?
That's right
You want it to hit the converters, why sample to a pc then put it on card to a Mpc
i didn't have the wires to go directly into the mpc yet my record player is cheap and doesn't have quarter inch in or outputs so until i get some adaptors i gotta do it the hood way
@@clocksyn maybe a rca to 1/4 cable off Amazon. Idk if the Mpc has built in preamps. Keep rocking✌️
I’m keeping all my original stand alone MPC’s. If I purchase the new Akai equipment but, only to add to my collection. The original standalones still serve they purpose.
Always having fun !!!
Good shit yo
There’s nothing like the old standalone models.
Where is the asr10 & 2000xl at, your clickbaiting bruh, you haven't proved anything on the title of the video,
@@paserpase2870 it's a conversation I'm continuing after my previous video that you should watch
@@paserpase2870 the video is more about the key 37 since I actually have one
Wait! Have you ever used an ASR?
When you made the comparisons in the initial video, I figured you were referring to the sequencing style of the two eras of hardware rather than the sound. I think a lot of people missed that, but I'm enjoying these videos. I grew up right in the middle of the transition during the boom of plugins, midi controllers, and VSTs.
Don't get it wrong I'm a hip hop producer, but I'm able to produce any genre, that just broadens your experiences
@@funkdawg214 go check out some of my other music on ig
Keep doing what your doing you've got a new subscriber and I'm an older cat that respects all of the machines and opinions are just that opinions and if you carry yourself like a man you get the respect of one from a 57 year old boom bap maker keep it coming..
@@JazzMatic1967 I appreciate that especially from an OG 💪🏾
All caps on the ASR 10 and if you see 2001 box
Looking good man. You have everything you need right there to make some great music.
Thanks for all the support recently
Replying to dude above… let that man do what he enjoys, that’s why he spent his money on what he bought
Now i love hip hop,but you you need to advance your genre, make so trap beats ijs
theres enough damn trap beat producers out there. not enough real hip hop guys. i hope this man keeps it up. (and trap isn't more advanced of a genre than hip hop just cuz its slightly newer and more popular)
People use the ASR 10 for the sound quality it's unmatched and people use the 2000 XL for the sequencer it's a lot easier to use than the ASR sequencer unless you're snare Jordan watches videos and see how fast he clicks on the asr-10 it's a town of menus to go through
This think just came out. It can’t be legendary yet young man. Time is the determining factor for something to be legendary.
What brought me here was the caption. Drawing comparisons to the ASR-10 and MPC2000XL is a bold statement and I'm an old head who LOVES the classic ASR and MPC and i was actually thinking about getting a Key 37 based on all the great things I've heard about it. There's a keyboardist producer named Yahnn Hunter who makes nothing but 🔥 on this thing and swears by it.
Bro never heard of the Fantom G? This isn’t the first of its kind.
NEVER SAMPLE IN MP3 YOU USE WAV FORMATT
I love my Mpc Live 2. I'm an old head...53. I had Asr. Different tools for different times. Keep making content. Don't let the negative people affect your creativity. Peace!
appreciate that yeah man we gotta stay with the times while at the same time carrying on the legacy
You can’t chop with the actual keyboard which is still stupid…that’s the reason why I haven’t bought this thing
Or you dont have the money for it, nor the skills to play a keyboard.
@@andremiller1566what’s with all the hate dude? You hate yourself or something?
That's because in Chopping mode the keys serve a different function to move back and forth through banks but after you make your chops you can use the keys to play the samples
@@clocksyn yeah I’m aware bro . I’ve been using the mpc for years. I think it’s just stupid they haven’t implemented that feature. If they ever come up with a update to chop with the keyboard then that’s when I’ll buy it most likely
You can’t plug the turntable into the usb? I thought you could. Guess I’m not getting a usb turntable.
yeah i recommend getting a quarter inch output turntable not the cheap one i have
the mpc doesn't recognize it because it only reads output signals and the usb turntable plug is input i got it to work another way and i'll explain that in my future video i basically turned my turntable into a Mic
@@clocksyn cool
Nice video bro. Ignore these “the old machines sound better” cry babies.
The new MPC's don't sound as good as the old ones, but they sound better than the sounds coming straight from your computer, like when using Maschine, I started on the mpc 2kxl, then went to Maschine, and I might go back to an MPC.
Prove it please
you are they are not built the same and missing what roger Lyn had in all his versions of mpc the converters, preamps are not the same so yes the new ones don't sound the same. but you can pay more and get the original roger mpc parts. thanks akai yall owe roger what ever he ask for.
you could also combine old and new. i bought myself an ensoniq eps classic keyboard sampler from 88' (rza used this for wu tangs first album). i run samples through it into my mpc one and it sounds nasty...
