I have did Security in every setting possible, Corrections, Process server, etc… For all of you that’s new to the field. Never write “All secure” on you (dars) Dailey activity reports. I always see people writing all secure. What happens if someone steals something, breaks in, there’s a flood, or anything happens and you don’t notice. If it goes to your boss, court, etc… They’re going to say well you wrote it was “all secure” Instead, write something like all appears ok, all seems ok. Don’t set yourself up for failure. Always remember CYA- cover your ass!

I hate when people call security guards "fake cops" or "rent-a-cops". It's unfair to say because they aren't claiming to be cops in the first place. They protect people on private property. That is their job. They can also arrest you if you shoplift or commit a felony. It's called citizens arrest, and security guards are protected under it. And they can taze and/or shoot you if you pose a threat. So don't give these men and women heat. They deserve respect like the rest of us.

Need to be more security agencies like this in each state. Far too many companies pay people well to do nothing and pay poorly to be busy. If there were more companies like this then people would take it more seriously and they'd actually enjoy their jobs. The turnover rate in security is terrible.

They are not "officers'. They are "observers". They have no additional powers than the average citizen does. Except, maybe, to carry a firearm where you can't. There job is to "observe and report". Period. The average IQ is 0. Most are wannabe cops. The pay is low. Most are very unprofessional idiots. I know because I worked for several security companies in the past. Armed and unarmed. I quit everyone of them after a short time. Because they were all a total joke.
