new 3d mario game would be a great final game for the switch and launch title for the next gen console
just like BOTW for the Wii U! although nobody really played it on the Wii U 😂
The point of a launch title is to get people to buy, if it’s on switch, a console a lot of people have, no one will buy

For me I'd honestly say jedi survivor is my game of the year. I am a star wars fan so i am biased but it was truly incredible. I personally didnt encounter any major performance issues unlike most people and I think if the game was polished on release then it would definitely be in most peoples goty lists. The other games on my list are hi fi rush, starfield and hogwarts legacy from the games ive played so far. Spiderman 2 might make the list too but im waiting for that to drop in price because £70 is ridiculous
im a big star wars fan but icl i didn't enjoy the first game so i didn't bother buying jedi survivor
neither of these games will be goty. Baldurs Gate 3 is not only goty but potentially game of the decade. the real winners this year are the gamers, who aside from those mentioned also got Hogwarts, Jedi Survivor, alan Wake 2, Final Fantasy 16, mario bros wonder, and Starfield rounding out one of the most incredible years of gaming ever.

If I were to pick GOTY I would honestly say Final Fantasy XVI or Spider-Man, I think the story in FFXVI easily clears either of these games but the variety of things to do was better in Zelda and Spider-Man had better side missions and maaaaybe better combat. The stealth in Spider-Man was definitely a plus too. Zelda had a few great boss fights but 16 had like 9 of them lol

the direct was *okay* for me, mario rpg is awsome bc its one of my favorite rpg's, im absolutly playing the new splatfest, and metal gear was awsome, sad they didnt give us 4 though

@@mikasazuki903 the switch is definitely on its last legs, if nintendo dont do anything big wit it soon or move on to a new console with 4K etc, like the PS5 its going to be overlooked by the rival companies
totk is pretty big, for at least a long while, but i havnt really had anything to REALLY look forward to myself, other than smash bros DLC, which is obviously done with
@@mikasazuki903 yeah, totk was big but i think that the performance on the switch really held back its potential... and the rival companies are doing so much to "out-game" them like sony with spiderman 2
