Spring, The Fiber Enthusiast

Crochet was my first passion. As a little girl, my mother was always doing something with crochet. She started my love for fiber by teaching me to finger crochet. I have become fluent in most things crochet, but like everything in life, I continue to learn new ideas or ways of doing things.
I now spin yarn, weave, knit, needle tat, make hemp and tatted jewelry, process and dye fiber, and Tunisian crochet. I also design patterns for all of the above. You will find a balance of videos on this channel that cover all of these things. I put out regular videos on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday every week. These are all tutorial videos. I have my live stream on Thursday evening at 7PM EST. We cover all kinds of fiber related topics and just get together to chat about anything and everything. I call it my “Spin-n-Chat” because I am normally spinning fiber, as we chat, during this time. So, if you want to see this, in a more live setting, come on over and join us.

CROCHET// New Ground Beanie
In this video I show you how to crochet a beanie fast and easy with lots of texture. This beanie is completely reversible. New Gound is the name I came up with for multiple reasons:
youth growing up and breaking new ground
the breaking of soil when plowed is called a furrow and I see a furrow in the pattern
There are a few other reasons that are related to the date of release of this pattern also.

round 1 10 DC
round 2 2DC each stitch 20 DC
round 3 2 dc first stitch 1 dc into next repeat 30 dc
round 4 2 dc first stitch 1 dc into next 2 sts repeat 40 dc
round 5 2 dc first stitch 1 dc into next 3 sts repeat 50 dc
round 6 2 dc first stitch 1 dc into next 4 sts repeat 60 dc

@@DianaD227 I am on the more relaxed and looser side. My 5mm crochet hook and worsted weight yarn is equivalent to most using a 5.5 - 6 mm hook and worsted weight
