The life of the Redneck and his Filipina wife. She lives in the Philippines. I still live in the USA. Our journey has just begun. There will be videos from her in the Philippines and from me here in Arkansas
Most of our videos will be our life with family. Birthdays. Christmas. Sundays dinners ext. the new way to capture family memories that will last a lifetime. I have lost so many video tapes of my children when they were small. This I hope will be the way of capturing videos that will never be lost.

Makes me sad to be leaving the Philippines. I have made 4 trips in the past 2 years. . I have spent 6 of the last 8 months here. I know it may be years before coming back. Our visa journey is coming to a close and Germelyn and the kids should be in the USA before this year ends.

Enjoy the Adventure - Love it. Thank you Sir.
i've been in the Philippines traveling about more 20X since 2000,2001 and 2010 thru 2024 just recently in May 2024 i don't have any problems in and out of the NAIA1 and i'm traveling again December 2024 for Xmas and NYear....watching from Glendale, California 😀😊
Thanks for your comment. That was the first time for me to have an issue other than the long lines
I remember sweating heavily walking in LAX Tom Bradley to Terminal 4/5/6 and vice versa I hate that long walkathon with hand carry luggage of 7.5kgs 😂😂 with 1.5 hrs time in between flights
Sorry for not responding quickly I have not been getting my notifications. It is a very very long walk and I have bad knees
Take American Airlines connection, Philippine Airlines and American Airlines are partners.
Thanks I’ll try that next time.
Philippine airlines, the most backwards and most inefficient airline of all airlines! Never again flew this airline! They are like 20 years behind…😂. Worst customer service and workers with very low standards and training 😂
The staff on board were nice. The food was good but the best thing was the straight though to west coast without any stop overs which always means layover time.
Still plenty of room for improvement for both Manila airport and Philippine airlines
I don’t fly pal anymore to dumb and planes are dirty and old, poor maintenance, crew are good always no complaints about them..check out all your options and opportunities first before buying a ticket..😊
Very nice!
Nice resort. How much a night there?
You can’t beat the prices there. Amazing!
I can agree on most of the comments here. Most of the employees whether PAL, Swift or Cebu Pacific, their employees are not well informed... But, we had an awesome time in the Philippines!!! I'll sub and follow your adventures!
Thank you for commenting. Sorry I have not been getting my notifications on comment
The biggest mistake was flying on Philippine Airlines. They definitely need to streamline their process. Doesn’t make sense to have employees checking your paperwork just to get into a line or a gate. At LAX You have to transfer from Bradley International Terminal to a domestic terminal for an international flight to a domestic flight, just like you have to do at most airports in the US where you have to do an international to domestic flight.
Thank you for commenting.
I fly United going to Manila since I have status with them and takes me only 10 min to ckeckin. The problem with PAL is that they are not part of any alliance, so diffuclt to get status if you travel frequently to other countries.
What's the flight full what was there a lot available seats
Not many available.
It's not called the Failippines for nothing, if there's a way to turn anything that's easy everywhere else in the world into a complete cluster-fcuk they'll find it.
We did what you did lol. No connecting flight so we had to take our 6 big luggage and walk all the way to domestic to get to our flight to DC. That's why flying PAL only make sense if you live in one of the hubs they stop at like LAX, SFO, JFK, and i think Seattle.
Exactly true. The only good thing about Philippine Airline is the straight flight to USA. No stop overs. Which always leads to layovers
How much was that ticket ??? Just asking if ok No offense meant 😮
My whole flight combined from Davao to Memphis was $1100
Thank you sir
Omg. How come so cheap? It cost me $2500 from Texas to Manila.
Nice place mister
Thank you. There are so many attractions in the Philippines. I would believe anywhere you lived in the Philippines would be the same. The landscape is breathtaking

Aww thank you for subscribing and also to commment. This is a small channel and I appreciate you more than you know!!
She still works there wow terminal 3
I've made a few trips to the PH now, my latest was earlier this month. Every time I go I figure out a hack to better improve the whole travel experience. I've been to Manila/NAIA once...never again. It has been operating beyond its designed capacity for years, making it inefficient and crowded. I won't go into the ongoing issue of airport baggage handling crews stealing items from passengers luggage.....or luggage that goes missing altogether. Which takes me to my next point.... Packing: "less is more" in my view....for a 3-week trip I take 1 carry-on size suitcase and a modest sized backpack as my personal item bag. Not having to deal with baggage check in just makes life easier.....and if you're in NAIA, keeping control of your stuff denies some staff the chance to treat themselves to something of yours. Lastly, I don't think I will ever try Philippines Airlines as an option.....there's just too many bad reviews/experiences documented. Definitely stick to carriers that belong to an alliance, makes dealing with connecting flights with different carriers a lot easier and more cost effective.
Thanks for your insight. I have learned a lot in the past two years. I will stick to Korean Airlines unless someone convince me otherwise. I did use Cathay Pacific once because they flew me to Cebu. I much rather fly to Cebu over Manila. Like you have had bad experience with NAIA.
I have been to the Philippines six times this year from the US and never had an issue when flying on United. I wait no more than 10 min checking in. I don't ever check-in my luggage so think that's a big factor.
we where on the same flight delayed last sunday also on delta got my bag and was able to recheck it to las vegas down in customs they where also able to print my boarding pass for my delta flight
That’s great. I was lucky my backpack was not weighed when I checked in at Davao and also in Manila.
Did they weigh your carry-on bag in Manila? Phil Air has a low limit (7Kg I believe) which is pretty easy to go over.
No just rescanned it right before boarding the plane. I’m sure the weight was over.
Philippine Airlines is not part of any alliance, but it does have a baggage agreement with most major airlines. If you show your Delta ticket at checkin with PR, they should be able to tag your bags to your final destination (Memphis in this case). You still have to clear customs with your bags at LAX, but then you can dropoff your bags at recheck and they will be transferred to Delta. You can buy one ticket from Philippines to Memphis but often it is more expensive. Lastly, you must be careful with two separate tickets. If the first airline is delayed and you miss the connection, you may face expensive rebooking charges because you are on separate tickets.
Thank you for the info.
Thanks for this video,me and husband is going this coming May and we will be doing the same as what you posted here going to market. My husband like to walk through market like that than the fancy one with air-conditioned and all.
Thank you for commenting. I like walking through those markets. Wish I could go back soon.
The airport in Manila is corrupted be careful there, a lot of scammers
Thank you. There are scammers even in some of the barangay. That’s another story I probably will not publish involving local LTO. I might want to visit again. Don’t want to get black balled.
Enjoyed it.
Thank you. My granddaughter will someday watch this after she is grown. Hope she appreciates it.
Sorry to hear about just missing that last flight. Made an already long journey even more exhausting. Good tip about flight aware. I use that all the time. Also helpful for family not flying with you to track your progress, airport pickups, etc.
Very true!
😮😮😮
Yes, that can be a looooong walk at LAX out to some of those international gates (or to customs upon entry). And then more walking (or shuttle bus) to get to other terminals if you are connecting to a domestic flight. About the bags... so nice to be able to check in at DVO and not have to deal with the lines at MNL ! would be nice to have bags checked all the way through like you did with Delta/ Korean. Philippines Airlines entered into codeshare arrangement with AA a few months ago that works for several US cities to MNL, but don't think you can book a single itinerary to get from one of the US cities all the way to davao (so you have to self transfer).
I know it would be nice. I love the straight flight to LAX. Bypassing Inchean or Hong Kong or Japan. Saves so much time with a straight through flight. I’ll stick with Korean air at least until wife and kids get here. Minnesota. Was a great place to use customs. Fairly easy and a short walk to the domestic flight to Memphis. It’s a shorter trip than the 16 hour flight from Inchean to Atlanta. Atlanta customs is also pain free and checking luggage after was simple. The underground railway is nice for transportation to other terminals
If you fly Korean Air or Asiana Air, it's a much shorter walk to customs at LAX. Philippine Air is at the West Gates extension which is very far.
Thanks for the shout out ! Enjoying your channel!!!
No problem 👍
Thanks for watching
Helmet headset was it? They didn't want it in your checked luggage because of the battery? (Edit) the LAX interior seems to have been renovated at least for the terminal where you got in - I remember it as cramped, dark, and old the last time I was there more than 10 years ago.
I sent the headset to my wife in a Balikbayan box last year. It would not work with the helmet she bought for me. I never used it. It was boxed up original but yes it has batteries that were never activated.
I think that’s how it works when you are on connecting flights upon coming back from PI for example you have to get your luggage and check it in the counter of the airline you are flying with. I forgot to do that last time I came back from PI 😂luckily when I arrived in ICT my luggage was waiting for me at the airport carousel
Well this was the first time flying with Philippine Airlines. I loved the fact I could check my luggage in Davao and skip that long 2 to 3 hours line checking in in Manila. I usually fly Korean Airlines. I have to book a separate flight from Davao not included in my over all flight from Manila to Memphis which requires a stop in Inchean then either Minnesota or Atlanta then to Memphis. But when checking in at Manila you get all tickets at once. When you arrive in the first USA city as always you collect baggage,go through immigration then check luggage back in. I have never had to leave out the front of the airport and come back in off the street and check in again with Delta. That was a first for me.
Dude, you can’t blame them, everyone go to the proper process, doesn’t matter who you are
I have to say it scared me. I thought oh no what was in my suitcase. My wife packed my suitcase for me so I really didn’t know.
Oh my God!it’s very hard if you’ve a lot of electronic gadgets at your back pack.sorry I’ve did not seen it before I pack your things😘🥰

My School during high School days..My kids are lucky now ,they walked near Our home..unlike before Our home is far away from these School..
Observant for Holy week..
Nice place
I love walking through our neighborhood. Most of the houses only have a path through their neighbors properties. They don’t have even a motorbike. They walk through to the highway and get a tricycle or bus. We have a straight line path to our home but only wide enough for our tricycle and motorcycle. Some park at a relatives place for over night and park on the street in front of our home during the day.
like in a dream...
Thanks for watching
CONGRATULATIONS ❤
Thanks for watching we really appreciate it 😊
Joyride❤❤❤
This was really cool to watch! I wonder how much they can produce in a day
I don’t know. They harvest 3 crops in a year here on the same fields. They also have a portable milling machine they go to your home
They are also many of those small mills here. Not like USA where a few companies own it all
