Can 14000 twinpower sw spool fit on 8000 body? Thanks!
@@digspayumoreal as far as I know only the 10000 and 14000is interchangeable on the new model. The new 8000 stella and twinpower may have an issue. Best is to test it for yourself. The older model 8000 was interchangeable with 10000 and 140000.
Can you tell me which one the best please .
@@TuanMinhPhu go with the certate, I prefer them as they extremely solid.
@@fishaddiction , thanks.
nice cathes bro
The Certate and Saltiga spools are also interchangeable
Yes, they are
That 8000 spool was front of you how difficult was to see if it fits to 14000?
That was a daiwa certate spool. Different reel to the Twinpower and it would not have fitted
both about the same price. which one for surf fishing or should i get cheaper?
Currently using the Certate for most of my fishing have all sizes from 8000 to 18000 and the reel performs exceptionally well
Hi Eb, I’ve been a die-hard Shimano fan for years but the 1 reel I haven’t enjoyed is my Saragosa 20000/25000 because of the shear bulk & weight & as a result have been using my Twinpower 10000pg with two 14000 spools for our summer inedibles. However I have for the first time started considering a Diawa Certate 18000 based on all the reviews & discussions with mates. The only concern I have is the faster retrieve of 5.8.1 vs. a power gear of 4.3.1 etc. What’s your point of view regarding the faster gearing for our summer fish?
Hi Tven, I have been using the 18000 certate since December. So far 0 hassles. I prefer the HG to the PG as I fish points most times and it makes retrieving the sinkers in without getting snagged alot easier, even preferred the Stella 18000 to the 20k. Never had issues where I felt I had less power on the crank. The 6.2 to 1 in the 14000 is alittle too fast though and does feel too fast for edibles and could pull hooks. All my reels are HG gearing and are my preferance.
Theres one thing you forgot and that is ease of service...the daiwa you need a special tool to open the MQ body which will cost you another 50 dollars...plus if you ever need to redo the magseal oil you will first need to source the oil and then find someone with the know how to do that for you because in most countries around the world Daiwa service centers are few and far between....so the twinpower wins hands down because it can be serviced by most reel mechanics
In South Africa we have a different issue, Daiwa service centres are well established with no parts concerns at all and the cost of service is the same as high end shimanos. Shimano has a known parts issue in SA with parts sometimes not being available at all after a certain period for reels that are still in use. I didnt discuss this purposely because internationally this varies largely especially with Alan Hawk expressing this issue with Daiwa as a concern.
Could you please run through your trace, the lengths, is it fixed or semi slide?
The trace is usually quite long depending on the conditions, always fixed around the rocks. In flat seas hook length about 90cm, and sinker length 1m. When the sea is abit turbulent usually 60cm hook length with 70cm sinker length.
Shot for the video bro, please do a review on the Ecooda black hawk 2. I know it's a budget reel but I heard it's a good reel. How does it handle splashes and dropped in sand etc?
Was looking at getting the Ecooda for shad etc, but don't know this brand. I had other budget brands but they started grinding and stopped working when dropped in sand by mistake.
Will consider a review. The reels aesthetics dont hold much as it doesnt stay new like premium reels. But its probably one of the best mid range reels out there. Mines about two and a half years old and it drag and reel is still as smooth as the day I bought it. Got a 42,3 kg duckbill on 20lb braid on thaf reel last weekend and went spinning with it this morning. Zero issues
Thanks for the reply bro. Congrats on the duckbill.
Lovely video eb

Oh my god, I can't believe how anyone would bait and wait for the fish now these days. I would be bored waiting and waiting. It has been 10 years now since I wish with lures only..
Every coastline is different, in South Africa lower North Coast bait fishing outfishes lures 10 to 1. Hence most of us prefer surf casting with bait to lures. The coastline may seem like a lure fishermans haven but it isnt. On that day that you saw us catching the threadfin kingies there were 2 experienced anglers that fished with lures that never got a single fish.
😭I thought you were doing lure fishing
I do some lure fishing as well, just havent had the time to get to it lately.
Hi, how much meters braid do you have on your 14000 twin power spool, also which braid are you using on that spool, thanks in advanced
I have had a few 14000 twinpowers, I have 40lb grinder drop zone top shot on this one and the backing is 50 lb grinder braid. It has around 650m in total. With only 50lb grinder braid it takes about 570m in total.
@@fishaddiction thanks, how is the 14000 for non eds ( bronzies )
@@thereandbackagainadventures it will land a few before showing any issues. Not ideal though. The new heat sink drag on the latest model is the same as the stella, works brilliantly. Check with Luan Els I believe he has landed a few on a 14000 twinpower.
Non comparable
Great video my dear friend I wish you success 👍🙏🙏
It would be nice to see another Catch Cook video. Fish curry please.
Nice
When are you going to upload again?
Sorry bud been back at work since April this year and had to focus on work after battling the cancer for a year and a half and not working. Getting life back in order, so that took priority over making edits and things. Follow me on facebook though, I load video reels with snippets of my trips. And have been posting many tips and tricks.
the daiwa actually holds more braid because the daiwa test braid is J braid and the Shimano test braid power pro, and j braid is much thicker in diameter.
Ive machine spooled both 14000 spools it holds 50m less
@@fishaddiction what braid did you use ?
On paper, the twinpower 14k takes roughly the same amount as a certate 14k, (when comparing equal diameters) That’s without taking into consideration the fact that you can overspool the TP without issues. From experience, I spool reels regularly - current shimmies definitely hold a little more line than current Daiwas.
Tops bro, please keep my TP safe 😂
Will do😂
Awesome man!
Thanks bud
I hope you are much better now and can start pulling out some good fish soon
Top release with the eel
Best thing that could have happened there
You finished the cotton securing the foam to the hook🙈🙈
Great stuff buddy I miss the summer flatys. You will be in prayers every day may the almighty carry you through everything in his Grace. Be safe and God bless 🙏

What setup are u using what rod and reel
I have 2 setups. Horizon Championship 6 with Daiwa Certate, and for scratching the Bluefish Zero 13ft with a 5000 size Ecooda Black Hawk 2 .
Top stuff bru, do you not target Garrick and Kob at Tugela?
No bud, I dont fish for garrick or dusky kob as their fish stocks have dwindled drastically. If I catch a garrick while spinning I do release them.
Well done brother ✍️🥇👌
Salaams brother, hope you are well, tell me how do I get to these rocks at tugela.. I'm new in the area and would like to fish some new spots
Wslm its about a 2,5km walk south of the south bank cottages. Or 3km walk north from Zinkwasi Mouth
Top stuff as always bhai" you right about fishing in different conditions.. This weekend only got to fish Sunday in not very good conditions but managed to get another 2 brusher in the short time I fished myself" my best season so far got 5 for this month and one in January👍
Thanks brother. Well done on your brusher, Ive only fished for them once this year for 2 hrs.
Well done bro ! Patience definitely paid off 😎
Thanks bru
Great stuff buddy I just love being at the sea , don't matter if I catch or not thanks for the video. Be safe and God bless 🙏
Thanks Clent, same to you

There is alot of info in my commentary to those that want to learn about targetting specific species. If you not keen on learning that or have already mastered those aspects you are most welcome to skip through it. Thanks for the feedback.
