@theshyguycrys2429 The first Doctor was grumpy, stern, and sometimes difficult to deal with. Yes, he had a twinkle in his eyes sometimes and had a little chuckle, but he didn't act much like the character here. I mean that as a compliment to him because Hartnell had range. Here, he's a chirpy chap with a London accent. In other roles, he was a violent criminal, a serious detective, a strict but fair Army Sergeant and in this sporting life an ageing scout for a Rugby League team in Yorkshire.
