Maybe NVIDIA introduces ms with frame gen. On AMD 7900xtx playing 1440p epic settings at 75 FPS and 12-20 ms in town. With frame gen i get 120 FPS with 6-8 ms in town. I am playing the game pass version not the Steam one.

Didnt realize how many people just dont update their drivers ngl. The driver update was available 2 weeks before the game and Nvidia specifically said "Includes optimizations for Stalker 2". Ive been playing at Medium DLSS Quality Frame Gen on, On a 3060 12Gb; 80-90fps and 50-60 in towns.

Memory leak - Programmer assign memory to store some object. Then failed or forget to free memory. Object occupy memory until the end of program. If it happens over and over again you will eventually run out of RAM. System may start swapping to disk when it starting to run out of free RAM which is slower resulting in performance issues.

At 3:52 it isn't RAM/hardware at all. Memory leaks happen because the parts of memory that were used by game aren't freed and properly handled later by the game itself. So its has been and always will be a software/developers problem that they created by themselves. In big projects it's too easy to misplace a pointer to a memory and then forget to free it, that's why programming languages such as Rust and zig arose more in popularity lately. While first one has it's borrow checker which is part of compiler's static analysis that help track usage of those pointers, second one has explicit memory allocators that need to be created and used and freed later on.

To be fair when SOC came out it was also in an unplayable state. it's not an excuse but given the struggles the dev team, their entire country more so, have gone through the last few years i'd say the product we did get is fantastic and has a great foundation to be the stalker game that holds us over for another decade. Especially with Grok already hard at work on mods. Stalker 2 Gamma here we come

Could Nintendo be about to save the gaming industry again? It's very possible. I think at this point everyone is waiting on Nintendo to reveal the Switch 2, which I think will really bring this console generation into focus, the thing is even though it's a new generation it doesn't FEEL like a new generation, it still feels like we're in the 8th gen. The recent lack of quality games on Xbox and PS5 doesn't help either with Nintendo being the only one delivering quality exclusives consistently which is very impressive when you consider the fact that this is the Switch's last full year before the Switch 2 comes out next year, usually game output slows down by this point but not this time. And I do want to stress this isn't me being a fanboy or whatever, I do have a PS5 as well and I do like it but I do think on an objective level this is true.

I think we can all agree it'd been a massively disappointing one.

Edit: the game was not developed in 14 years since the studio had to make big layoffs in the past and focus on others projects Also If the game goes below 10 fps and stays like that, try turning Frame Generation off (DLSS/FSR3), stopped happening with me.

Xbox has the biggest advantage over PS5 as far as new and competitive. #1. Developers Mode #2 Backward compatability with 4 generations of games that get FPS unlocked to 60fps and better visuals. #3. Auto HDR is real HDR on Xbox. That's right Sony, the PS5 doesn’t output real HDR for SDR content. #4. Quick Resume #5. Best first-person shooters and more. #6. When you buy an Xbox game, you get the PC version for free. And many other things that the Xbox can do that PS5 can't.

Sad but predictable decline. PS5 and Xbox Series have no identity of their own compared to their predecessors. Sony and Microsoft really need to take a few pages out of Nintendo's book in that they should try offering low-cost machines with unique exclusive games. Leave the 480fps CoD machine enjoyers to the PC market where they'll all go eventually anyway.

Hey good video. First off saying anything "is the worst of anything" is going to be subjective by it's very nature. And people on the internet are also very often hyperbolic in expressing their opinions. So you've kind of got your work cut out for you on the topic for this video. Second, I would say that the quality of a console generation is not defined by its hardware but by the quality of the games released for that hardware. It's why no matter how pretty transformers might look in theaters I would honestly prefer to watch... I don't know... some really old Disney Pixar 3D movie. Good visuals alone does not a good movie make; Good hardware alone does not a good console generation make. Anyway, liked the video, keep making 'em!

Worst console generation since the last one. Console gaming died after the PS3 and Xbox 360. Nintendo excluded of course because they gave up on consoles after the Wii U and now do their own thing and don't fall neatly into console generations.

The PS3 was not bad at all, it was a phenomenal system. It was very complex, and developers found it easier to develop on Xbox 360 and simply port to PS3, which made those games play very poorly since the architecture was so different.

Quality content keep it up I was surprised it doesn’t have more views.

IMO it is absolutely a disaster . I have bought every system at launch date since SNES & Genesis . These are dark times .

give it like 4 years, maybe when they stop supporting the PS4 generation they will actually focus on the current Gen stuff

I was excited to play the campaign, but it was fairly short, I beat it in under 3 hours on veteran, I wasnt trying to speed run it. But the hype is deserved, despite how short it is and that Mason is confirmed to be dead in canon, the immersion and storytelling made you feel like you were there. Some of those missions were horrifying but overall it was good.

I actually think this is the best generation. Sure, theres not a ton of games like there used to. But that's because they try to make better games. The power of the consoles and capabilities will be good for keeping them.for longer. Like faster load times. Jumping back into games faster and graphics. I think next gen will have a much small graphical leap compared last gen to this gen. The thing is that we have nestolgia for the past. Butnin reality things are much better.
