This is so far, in my opinion, the best recreation of this lost zone. Mod created by Extra Badnik.
Honestly idk why nobody uses the songs by colterex in videos
Even though Dubious Depths might reveal, I think I would still watch this.
Dubious Depths Past is a great song!.
Also, there was a underground segment in the concept art of Dubious Depths.

This kinda feels like Sonic CD's version of Marble Zone from Sonic 1
It basically is. Some zones in CD are based on sonic 1 zones. Palmtree panic - Green Hill Zone Dubious Depths - Marble Zone Collision Chaos - Spring Yard Tidal Tempest - Labyrinth. :Fear: Stardust Speedway - Starlight Zone Metallic Madness - Scrap Brain

... these time travel collectibles seem awful simple in comparison to it's siblings. Maybe this was supposed to take place before quartz quadrant, the architecture reminds a lot of a secret passage from a palace

kinda dont like this one, doesn't have much of the greeco-roman asthetic that marble zone had

Looks really good but the level design isn't as weird and exploration-focused like sonic cd, the level design looks more like sonic 1

the first letter of little planet zones HAVE TO HAVE ALLITERATION
the sonic cd stage motif is that those stages have the same letter in the first two words of the title-act

The boss has to be implemented in order to make this feel like it actually is a part of Sonic CD
Ngl, the idea of not having a bossfight in the good future fits so much I love it

great job, it really does feel like something out of sonic cd
for some reason i couldnt get this mod to work without bugs thanks for uploading a video of it
like, the background would always flash when i tried enabling the mod
Now it feels less like "Marble Zone in the jungle" and more like a dry version of Aquatic Ruins Zone. Anyway, great work. The only thing it lacks now is a boss. I hope Desert Dazzle soon gets the same treatment.
I didn't make the mod. The mod's creator is named Extra Badnik.
@@KIT2N8 Okay. This is still great. I don't think the enemies were ever used in the games? The snakes that look like the Oil Ocean boss, the improved Grounders, and the well-known antlions.
It feels like the background is like Marble Dump!
@@asmodeus58XXIndeed they werent altought the antlions were intended to be repurposed for metallic madness but we all know how that ended (Probably why there are so many werid semi loops with spikes in the middle in that zone)
This is in fact the most definitive restoration of Dubious Depths, since it was based on official concepts and confirmed info about development of the level. I hope, that soon we'll finally discover the prototype, which contains this stage, or at least, that Extra Badnik's mod will inspire fans to do more R2 related stuff, such as music, art and maybe even other restorations.
I have to agree. Most of R2 recreations feel bare bones compared to Extra Badnik's recreation

Nah Mirage Saloon is based off Desert Dazzle which itself is based off Sand Shower@@Meretrix2
