This is basically atrainguy1 Part II. As the title above indicates, here you will find mostly Michigan train videos, with a few exceptions. Take a glimpse at what Michigan has to offer, and I hope you enjoy the videos and the trains in them!

The depot used to sit on the left of the tracks from the angle shown in the beginning of the video. It’s now a museum about a half mile north.

yeah i know its in byron michigan, but where around byron?
I may be remembering wrong, but I believe it's Lovejoy Road, which now that I think of it is actually probably closer to Cohoctah than Byron.

So the Saginaw Sub isn't owned by CSX anymore? Quite an interesting spot there with the diamond over in the distance from where you were standing. Great catch!
Thanks! Holly's a nice place to catch trains for sure, with quite a few good spots for viewing and videoing trains. As for ownership, Lake State leased the line from CSX a few years ago, so it's all LSRC dispatching, crews, and maintenance north of Plymouth, with the exception of a CSX manifest that still runs to the interchange yard in Wixom.
That's a 2-6-2.

Is this a daily train?
Seems to be right now, as well as it's eastbound counterpart D706. I think they used to alternate days, but as of recently they are both running daily. I recommend keeping an eye on the CSX Update thread on railroadfan.com if you want to catch it. There are usually heads ups every day on it and other trains in the state.

Sweet catch!! I saw 5856 when it was pulling the L533 local. Very awesome engine and I hope it stays it GTW paint but only time will tell for that engine.
