These are not native to the US, this invasive species is terrible for our native earthworms as I can see you’ve researched in the notes. I live in Georgia and they are here too. They are easy to pick up with a leaf or piece of cardboard, put in a glass and drown in vinegar to dissolve them. Salt also may work. Warning - if you step on them or cut them in pieces - each section will grow another worm! Horrible.
