SELECT column_name FROM table_name WHERE LOWER(SUBSTRING(column_name, 1, 1)) IN ('a', 'e', 'i', 'o', 'u') AND LOWER(SUBSTRING(column_name, LENGTH(column_name), 1)) IN ('a', 'e', 'i', 'o', 'u'); If you don’t want to use Lower than add vowels in both capital and small letters.
