We Tried Blue Zone Homemade Food of Local Ikarian Family + Longevity Secret Tips
In this video, we do a taste test of local homemade food from an Ikarian family in Karavostamo, Ikaria. Ikaria of Greece is a known blue zone longevity island where people live to 100 years and more. Among dishes we review are moussaka, trahana goat kid soup, apricot drink, spoon desserts and more. We also share some of wisdom on longevity we got from Ikarians living at the seaside village of Karavostamo.
One important thing about Ikaria is that locals eat lots of dairy, meat and vegetables. They are not vegeterians or vegans. They survive off what they have at hand. Their food primarily comes from their farms and gardens. Sheep and goat are the preferred sources of protein and fats.

Great weather and uas video! This is a great weather video in general, but great info connecting it to flight as well.
Bro I am so mad rn. I worked so hard to get 1k and now I can’t even get monetized, and says I am not eligible💔😔😭🙏🔥💯
Very good video. Informative and also relaxing. Thanks.
Love it! Thanks for sharing, we're going through this right now. In our case is verification problem. I own multiple faceless channels, the biggest The Wealth Circle linked to personal ad sense, all working fine. Then I decided to use my Dubai business and register business ad sense account. Which then I'd like to all current and future faceless channels part of the portfolio I'm building so all funds go to the legally registered entity in UAE. Great plan but such a pain to execute. The ad sense account on The Britics is suspended due to verification. Google allows ID /passport only ( no business papers like business formation and stakeholders and what not). So sure my ID does not have info about business address and who is the company owner. So they rejected the first attempt. Sent email asked for more info , I've replied, sent more papers where is clear the business address, who is the owner and all that. Still waiting, is so annoying. Conctacted community and yesterday chatted with YT support as I am part of YPP on multiple channels. They said - wait some more, lol?! Google is epitome of intellect, best of the best in the world work there. Yet...their support is virtually non-existent and is so annoying that there is no clear way how to resolve this, you'd need to go thought some weird routes and self help yourself and even then..waiting and you don't know what's the progress, will it be resolved, are you gonna be rejected again. Waste of everybody's time. Hate to be negative but these guys are so lame in this departments is unbelievable. Thanks for sharing the video. Having a business entity is definitely smart move especially considering that successful youtube channels should be treated as business and not hobby and they are business ( faceless or 'face-full') so having an organization behind which takes care of income, expenses, brand deals and the whole nine is a sensible thing to do. But is very painful too :) Good luck to anyone dealing with this, don't give up, press on. Good things require perseverance , will and often being stubborn and not quitting :) All the good wishes, Angel ILIEV Investor/Owner, multiple YT channels.
Le paradis😊
Super helpful. Thank you!
DJI mini 3 is with 249 Gram as a weight with battery. And is not required to be registered. However with its intelligent battery if used during the flight (for longer duration of flight 48 min vis a vis 34 min) the weight of the drone increase beyond 249 grams. Do we need to them register the drone if to be used with intelligent battery ? If yes it needs to also have Remote ID too. Does DJI Mini 3 has a built in Remote ID?
DJI Mini automatically broadcasts remote ID when it detects intelligent battery. When using regular battery, it does not. Then, you have a decision fork here: do you fly your drone recreationally or commercially? If commercially, you need remote ID regardless of weight. With small battery, dji mini 3 does not broadcast remote ID and you need a separate remote ID module. It is unnecessarily complicated. You can read more here: pilotinstitute.com/remote-id-update-for-dji-mini-3-and-4/
I closed my individual AdSense account due to wrong details I entered. When I opened another account it still stated a duplicate account as error message. What do I do 😭
AdSense Account Issue: Duplicate Account Error I previously had an AdSense account approved for monetization, but I needed to update the account details due to incorrect information. I closed the original account and attempted to create a new one. However, the new account was disapproved due to 'duplicate account' reasons. I then reactivated the original account, but I'm still receiving an error message. I'm seeking assistance to resolve this issue and regain access to my AdSense account. Please help me resolve this matter as soon as possible.
@Ify_oma that was pretty much our problem. We resolved it by contacting YT chat support, who worked with Adsense to fix this problem. It took them over 3 weeks though. From recent comments, it looks like this path may or may not work. Some YT chat support reps refuse to help. It may depend on who you get.
@@BlokhinFilms oh dear. Does it mean that I'm stuck
If you have access to chat support, try that. If you don't, then your only option is to grant manager role on your channel to someone with access to chat support. Hopefully, it works.

CAN YOU HELP ME PLEASE TO FIXED MY STEP TWO ERROR
The bottom has not been reached yet. I am glad that it will not fall below 0.01$ per sale :)
who knows 🤣 maybe that's their next thing: charge contributors listing fees (or something)...
Do you need an image release form for clips where humans are incidental? For example, the shot at 1:10?
Absolutely. Even crowd shots won't fly as commercial. We tried before as commercial and got unanimously rejected by all major stock websites.

For the question 22: Correct answer is B. How frost forms: Cold Surface: The surface temperature must be at or below 32°F (0°C). Water Vapor: The air must contain sufficient water vapor. Dew Point Below Freezing: The dew point (the temperature at which air becomes saturated) must be below freezing.
You said that Getty will make shutterstock payout cuts? How lower can it get from 10 cents per download Shutterstock have now? Milions left when ss cut from 0/38 to 0.1 and it was a best decision i ever made. You missed the most important info for contributors, payout per download price. Never made a comparison between Getty and Shutterstock pay/dl? I was on SS from start, suspended my account when they cut our sales. Most of the best stock photographers left then. SS choose fast money rather then steady income from quality. Now they have to merge to say afloat.
Pay per download data varies and is very hard to estimate even from their 10-K financials. If you know this data, let us know. The goal of this video was to show that there are more pay cuts on the horizon for SS. I don't think it matters for Getty what pay per downloads is.
@BlokhinFilms no it doesnt vary. One vector or photo subscription download on ss is 10 cents for contributor. How can you say that getty will lower this? Are you really on shutterstock?
We are on both SS and iStock and I know what I am talking about. 10c is the min SS pays for downloads from very large sub plans. The pay per download is likely around $1 for an average SS photographer. That's what we got for the past 12 month. If you ask other contributors, their pay per download may be below $1. That is why I said it varies. I can't say for sure for Getty. They lump lots of stuff and pay varies. Our pay per download for Getty is lower than SS but can vary from year to year. This is our experience of course.
@@BlokhinFilms there is a chart for ss revenues where everybody can see. Sub price stays the same even if you pass in higher grades. And the grade resets every year. EL sales are few and random. I use to earn 1000 $ with 0.38 price. I refused to accept pay cut to 0.10. If basic price is 0.10 i dont know how you got to 1 $ per download? Maybe you sell many Extended sales? Maybe your portfolio is special.Or you sell videos for 1.5$. Dont know. You can see in you profit chart the years that ss drove contributors away. They have a big spike in earnongs from cutting costs and than in next years fall of profit. In those moments owners sold stocks but ss started going downhill. They were the best once and a great community but they are not that for years. I see no way of this merger cutting down 10 cents sales. Getty would be foolish to do so. Maybe an increase to Getty prices per dl would get me back.
Shutterstock publishes 10-K along with revenue per download (photos + videos). The numbers are there. We fall approximately where the average is. Our portfolio has a good mix of both photos and videos. Photos earn much, much less than videos on average. Thats a fact. Our photos are average and we get a good mix of royalties from different types of sales (exteneded, subs). For photos alone, it is not 10c/download but multiples of that. 10c is just a minimum. Overall, we keep saying on this channel that a good mix of photos and videos is a must these days. And no, you are mistaken, Getty has room to cut SS contributor payouts. This marriage depends on that.
All I can say as a contributor to the Shutterstock site I definitely noticed the payout plummeting very fast especially when it went public and traded on the stock market. When I started in 2010 with Shutterstock it was inspiring and there was also good communication and as the years went buy unfortunately it became worst and worst. Then I joined Adobe stock and that was the total opposite the reviewers at times tend to be a bit bias to certain images and at times it is a surprise, but they Adobe has been a life saver for now and I hope it will remain in the future but then as every business there are no guarantees. Alamy is a big one as well and it pays well when they sell somehow the sales are far and between. Thanks for the video.
We second your thoughts and sentiment. Adobe Stock has been a life saver for us too to say the least. But, I think they will most likely put payouts on a chopping block at some point too, unfortunately.
Hi. Do you recommend this K&F Concept 64 inch/163cm Camera Tripod? What backpack can you recommend on Amazon that doesn't exceed the airline's size limit for taking on the plane? Thanks
We stopped traveling with camera bags several years ago. They were too bulky and inconvenient. Instead we do 1 carry-on and 1 compact backpack per person. That way, we don't check in anything. Everything is with us all the time. We pack our gear into these bags with no problem. Here is a review of what we use: ruclips.net/video/ZMtA6r2QbDk/видео.html As for the travel tripod, we use this one reviewed here: ruclips.net/video/u1R9A_ULdD0/видео.html. It is not the smallest and most compact one. But, it is relatively inexpensive and quite steady, which is important for us. We do take it apart and put it in a carry-on bag. If you need a smaller travel tripod than the one we use, there are trade-offs to be aware of, like they will be less steady and potentially shaky. Hope this helps!
Hi@@BlokhinFilms. Thanks for the information. Unfortunately is very expensive for me. I have a Neewer backpack. The camera I have is the 550D and the lenses I have are the Canon 10-18, the 18-55 and the 55-250mm. The tripod can support 20kg, right? What cheap Canon lens can you recommend me for taking pictures of the moon? Portuguese greetings. Thanks
@bananaukra3235 sorry, not an expert on Canon lenses.
@ No worries. Thanks
I started uploading existing photos as a small extra to some platforms. I have about the same amount on Shutterstock and istock. Despite all the facts you are presenting here my average pay per item is 16 cents on shutterstock while it is 86 cents on istock. Also the amount of sales is double on istock than shutterstock. So below the line my average earning is about 10 times higher on istock. How would you explain that despite the much better rates from shutterstock?
May I ask you a few questions? 1. How many photos have you uploaded? 2. How unique and different are they? 3. Do they depict themes in demand, or are they average? 4. Are they mostly commercial or a mix of editorial/commercial? 5. How fast do you go through Shutterstock tiers and hit higher rates? 6. Do you have videos for sale? It is a nuanced situation. Pay varies from platform to platform. When we say $1 per asset per year, that's aggregate across all platforms for a large number of assets (tens of thousands). It is also in our experience. Our pay per item also varies, and for some platforms, it could be below $1 (like way below). It could be that your photos are more in demand/suitable for iStock than Shutterstock. Shutterstock had major declines in content sales across their platforms in the realm of 10-20% lately. So, it is not surprising to some extent that your pay is lower from Shutterstock (so is ours). Our average includes stock videos that earn us more than photos. Going for stock photos only could be a steep uphill battle given how many of them are out there unless they are extremely good and in demand. Also, if I were starting now, I would definitely upload my content to Adobe Stock and Alamy. Adobe Stock especially pays well in our experience. We are happy to converse outside of youtube if you'd like. You can email us (about page on youtube). We also have a video on typical mistakes in stock photography here: ruclips.net/video/_CX--4BOG7M/видео.html There we talk about some of these issues.
Cheers!
Thank you!
Thank you for the elaborate explanation! Can you please make a comparison to the competitors like Adobe Stock?
Which features for example do you have in mind for comparison?
@@BlokhinFilms Their revenue growth, how they pay contributors, yearly payouts, what percentage of the market they hold and what's your prediction as to how they are going to be affected by the recent merge. Thank you!
Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, Adobe does not disclose its stock content sales in public filings. I looked into that before. But, I will do my best in the next video!
@@BlokhinFilms Thank you! I appreciate your response.
Another thing the combined company will have: more resources and a larger base for training AI to generate pictures and footage. It will reduce dependence on those pesky, expensive contributors. You can already see the AI infiltration into recent RUclips videos.
Absolutely. I don't know though what will happen to Getty when AI training is largely done or the need for real imagery subsides. Getty does not have its own AI algorithm and will be dependent on OpenAI and the likes more than OpenAI on Getty at some point. There is a possibility that this generative ai thing backfires on them big time.
what can stock photographer do about commission cuts? quit agency(s) en masse temporarily, forcing agency(s) to retreat, IMO...
It is not that easy.
хммм... доллар в год за фото звучит не очень привлекательно, конечно
Do you license stock photos/videos yourself?
Gettys in my opinion protects the photographers who are gettys exclusive photographers and parks other exclusive photographers as Istock, and now shutterstock.
Getty has some other exclusive relationships with top photographers that probably have better pay terms. I knew a few in the past. But either way, the mass majority of Shutterstock photographers will see reductions in their pay. It is inevitable. If you look at their merger terms, it becomes clear that it is pedicated on that. Getty will squeeze as much as they can, otherwise they will be in trouble with taking on so much debt (likely, almost another $1 billion) to buy Shutterstock.
@@BlokhinFilms The Gettys stable top photographers from what I understand do get better pay, the rest of the photgraphers are parked in Istock where the commission are lower as access to the top tier is restricted.
Of course. They are top photographers for a reason. I have seen some of the work of one top Getty photographer and it is something else on a completely different level. Some of their photos end up on book covers with thousands and thousands dollars in royalties to photographer (Getty gets more of course).

It is hard to say. We made a video with our take on the merger here: ruclips.net/video/KAUwQKRUaEc/видео.html
When I changed my address in Google Pay, they automatically suspended my Google Adsense account. I sent the documentation they requested, 16 days have passed and I have not received a response.
Thx for that informative video! Love your content you helped me to get my 107 part. Just a suggestion: you should try to place your tripod on the ground or make sure that it's stable, lots of vibrations! Just a little annoying :)
I am working at the moment on a drone reel to upload to BlackBox. Looks like you don't recommend this platform? Would you say you make more income on your stock footage by uploading everything separately as opposed as letting Blackbox handling it?
Yeah, I saw it after recording. That was a fluke. It rarely happens!
I can't answer this question for sure since we don't do Blackbox. It is not that I don't recommend it, it is just that we prefer handling stuff in-house. For someone, it could help. Just depends. But, it is a question of time spent doing stuff yourself vs. money paid to Blackbox (I think 15% commission on sales). Submitting content is a one-time cost. But, Blackbox will milk 15% off contributors for a very long time. I don't think it is a good deal in our case. We'd rather pay this money to ourselves.
How is exposure to radon ok?! I live in Chicago and people develope lung cancer from exposure to it.
Indeed. Chronic long-term exposure to radon gas does lead to lung cancer. With hot springs containing radon, people absorb most of it through skin and some through inhalation. The inhalation part is the cause for concern. There were studies done attempting to measure the radon dose that hits the lungs in hot springs. It is definitely above normal. The question is: do benefits exceed the costs? There are documented benefits from radon hot baths. Personally, I would not go to radon/uranium mines to get my therapy. I would rather do hot springs instead if I was in need of this therapy. And, I would not do it every day for sure. Here is a primer on this if interested: www.mdpi.com/1422-0067/22/1/316

RUclips support doesn't help, they just regurgitate the same script telling me they denied it and can't tell my why. How did you get them to actually take you seriously?
It is hard to tell. We tried several times with different reps before someone agreed to help.
@@BlokhinFilms So you were facing the same situation where they just repeated the script until someone finally helped?
Pretty much. I think our second rep agreed to help us. It should not be like this though.
Is there any way I can get in contact with the same rep you had?
Thank you for this review. I'm a retired airline pilot studying for the Part 107 exam and you did a good job and presenting this. Only point I needed to double check was your lapse rate number.

I got an email denying my application for an AdSense acount because I did not meet the requirements/criteria. They didn't say anything about a duplicate account because I know I do not have one in the past. I don't even know what an AdSense about is until now. I have over 1k subscribers and over 4k watch hours. I don't know what to do anymore.
Is it Adsense or RUclips Partner program that denied your application? Those two are different. It sounds like RUclips Partner. Did you ask them why? Also, do you own copyright to the content you put out?
@BlokhinFilms it was AdSense that denied my application. Even though I was eligible to apply for an AdSense account, I’ve been rejected 5-6 times. I’ve watched countless tutorials, closed my current account, recreated a new one, and followed all the steps, but I still got rejected because I didn’t meet the criteria. All my content is original, created entirely by me-I haven’t copied anyone’s work. The last time I chatted with RUclips support, the tech told me I was eligible to monetize and just needed an AdSense account. That left me confused because I’m not sure what she meant. There’s no option in RUclips Studio to change the AdSense association except to fix the issue. She mentioned that if I waited 32 days, the option to change associations would reappear. I could delete my old AdSense account and start over. At this point, I’m not sure what else to do.
That is strange. I thought that the RUclips Partner program is the one who makes decision whether your channel meets RUclips criteria, not Adsense. Personally, I would not wait 32 days. I would ask RUclips chat support for help, if you can. They have a way to work with Adsense to resolve these types of issues. At least, this is what they did for us. We had to wait for almost 3 weeks, but it got resolved. Did they tell you what they meant that you did not meey their criteria? Is this something you can address once you find out? I sincerely hope it gets resolved for you. It is really frustrating to hang in that limbo.
@@BlokhinFilms I've been asking that questions over and over, but they kept telling me that couldn't tell me. That's why I was so frustrating and wanted to just forget about it and gave up.
How do you access the chat support for God sake
helpful video. planning on going over the material now and taking the test soon.
Thank Sir! Can you make a video to explain and show some tips for real estate footage.
Great place, what month were you there?👌
Were there in May.
The $1 per asset per year maxim was stated long ago (1999) in a book by Lee Frost in what was then still primarily the film age. The book was from the UK and used 1# per asset but, adjusted for inflation, currency conversion etc., your $1-2 per asset per year is right on the mark. However....how has that changed recently for you? You seem to suggest things are down. Are you now seeing less than the $1-2? Thanks for sharing your insights/observations. One other note...a beginner should focus on saleable imagery. Gear i.e. FF equipment is NOT needed. Agencies take smartphone images, and some of my best sellers are from a bridge camera circa 2005. It's the image and story/concept it tells that matters.
We have been slower on uploading images. As portfolio ages, the rate decline is inevitable. We have been putting out more images lately, and there was a noticeable improvement. I totally agree about the gear. Focusing on what sells first is very important. But, I would not discount it either. With time, it is worth investing in better sensor and glass. We outgrew cropped sensors in the first few years and went with upgrade. Just speaking from our experience. The quality difference can be big in certain situations.
