Crown of Leaves locations: Veil Jumper Vendor Arlathan Statues Puzzle in Shadowy Grove Chest in Ritual Site, a quest based location Chest on Tearstone Island, a quest based location fifth?
Absolute legend! Thank you for posting this. I don't keep track on items because I never know where my builds are going to go until the end.
i cant find the helmets last upgarde and i dont know if u can miss one of its upgrades
Dang, I don't have exact locations but @haplyxtash5494 posted some of the known locations. I remember getting the final upgrade during a companion ending quest. It is so crazy how many items get thrown at you during companion quests, a lot of which you can't go back and get once missed.
Thanks for this. Made a build similar to this with the crit ring and auto heal gear and was hitting for 9,999 every meteor/ice spell so needed something less op but still powerful
This rules so much - rogue class is so much fun
Your build is crazy fun to play with. Do you have a Warrior build similar to this ?
Fun is what I aim for! Currently working on more builds since community interest is high. I might replay warrior again since I beat the game on warrior first but it was Underdog difficulty and the build wasn't nearly as good as my mage and rogue on Nightmare. Probably plan to see a new warrior guide!
@@ImJustAnthonyTube I'm trying to build a smash warrior because I really like kicking the mobs. And I hate cooldowns, so I want it mostly spamming the abilities. A lot of rage gen + smash damage.
Dumbasses on The Internet: "hurr durr the enemies are sponges" You: "watch me kill the final boss before he even finishes monologuing" It's incredible how much "skill issue" applies to most complaints about the game's combat.
It's unfortunate some people don't want to better themselves so only complaints happen. The base combat system without abilities for each class is already fun when you master it. Add abilities and skill tree, game elevated to be even more fun and see if your mad scientist brain can make a monster or a dumpster fire. I'm not immune to dumpster fire builds sometimes! Haha
Hey, great build guid looks like a lot of fun. What's your recommended Faction choice for nightmare?
I really like afflictions and Nightmare has enemies a little more tanky so affliction stacking helps take them down. Extra potions are always nice as well. Taking the extra affliction stack on this rogue build would give you 11 bleed stacks early in the game! ( 3 standard, 6 from unique sword, 1 from skill tree by Pilfir, and 1 from Faction.)
Nice build! Does this out perform death caller and spell blade?
I believe that being able to use the crit ability spam that stacks all afflictions and with an ultimate that does constant DPS separate from our own DPS really elevates this build to the top. Play style and personal preference will dictate the best build for each player. I had the required Helmet to legendary and the required unique belt before I was level 50 and I also think this elevates the build because you don't need the special upgrade shop at the end game before the final boss. I was able to massacre the LvL 50 Blight Dragon in Crossroads at LvL 48 without him hitting me a single time and very fast kill. Probably my highest performing build out of the three I made. (Whisper "Spellblade was still my most fun to play")
@ interesting!! Appreciate the additional context too! Be great to see you experiment with reaper shield throw build too, I heard that can hit some crazy numbers - from each bounce too! I’ll try this out on my rogue first though, definitely love the playstyle.
Any idea where to get Garb of kinship ? I’m just missing one for my mage play and can’t find it for the life of me
I know you can get one copy from the special shop in Minrathous called the Black Emporium. The Caretaker unlocks it later in the game with a quest.
Weisshaupt siege main quest , black emporium and grey warden vendor,
I know this is a Nightmare guide but being a crow and choosing minrathous shouldnt be allowed!! :D I imagine you did it because Lucanis got hardened and it increases his dps but still I don't know if I can do that my poor Treviso
So true so true. I shall carry this shame with me. I fast clicked save Minrathous because I was speedrunning. RIP Treviso
love this definately gonna try it been on the fence playing a rogue definately gonna try this when they fix the unique chest/statue dagger bug
Awesome! This build was fun from start to finish. I hope you enjoy your fast ultimate recharges in the early and mid game to constantly throw bombs everywhere! So satisfying until you are ready to transition to all projectiles in the late game.
Amazing! I was going to do Damtics CRIT BOOM Saboteur next but i think you stole me heart with this one 😅. Do you think you can do a staff focused build?
Glad you like my build! I am currently debating on working on some extra builds for each class on my free time. You are not the first person to ask for a staff build so I may look at some ideas and I will post a guide if I can create a crazy build. No mediocre builds here! We want that juice!
While leveling, i honestly think pilfer is the best rogue skill and most versatile. The fact that it triggers any of your belt effects means you can mess around with a bunch of the belts instead of just throwing a good belt on and leaving it. Not sure how much damage it does late game, but im currently leveling my rogue, and pilfer+bees does a bunch of damage.
EXACTLY! My first 2 guides I talk about Tincture Kit being the best belt because massive healing and revive which is true for those builds. Pilfer on rogue changes that because you get constant potion effects without actually using your potions. I also used the BEES unique belt early when I was bleed stacking and I agree that the bleed+bees was so much damage! Glad I'm not the only one who did this while leveling. The AOE bleeding belt was my preferred belt for most the game. Thanks for watching!
ADRENALINE FUELED NIGHTMARE ROGUE! Who needs tanks, mages, or healers when you can have a full throttle rogue team. Feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer if the community doesn't beat me to it. Who else is ready for Path of Exile 2?!
great build and pretty unique from what I've seen. What ended up being your favourite class amongst the three playthroughs you did and why?
I would say the most fun I had was with the mage. You strip away the abilities from all the classes and the orb and blade combat style of the mage is the most fun. Tossing out AOE elemental orbs to stack a magic bomb on targets then using your blade to detonate those bombs is satisfying especially when you acquire the talent that lets you throw your blade to detonate the bombs. OVERALL, every class if fun and they designed each class very well. It makes playing the game at least 3 times worth just to try all classes. Most guides don't cover the basic combat system for each class with weapon combos ( light/heavy attacks and charged light/heavy attacks plus agile attacks) which is a big part of the early to mid game since you don't have ability spam like most end game guides show. Survival early is your own skill and the mage feels the best for me personally.
you mention taking skills for "spell power" but i have yet to see any spell power stat or any indication that taking skills you dont use gives any sort of buff
If you click the extended information for any ability to see their critical strike condition it will also tell you that you get +15% ability power when the skill is acquired. This is great because even though we only use 3 abilities the game still let's us have a bonus for pathing through skills. You can test this by checking your ability power number with and without a new skill allocated. This was actually told to me by another commentor when I was build crafting the warrior guide and it is amazing to know because getting all the skills on the tree is a big ability power increase.
@@ImJustAnthonyTube huh, the more you know!
Would you suggest using meteor to add burning before you get to level 30 and are able to apply burning through shocking?
Honestly I wouldn't worry too much on multiple afflictions pre 30 but you can always use the meteor ability on multiple target groups early because it is fun! Most of the game pre 30 can be completed with the correct orb and using your arcane bomb triggers properly. After 30 you definitely want to be using the void blade primarily, so have fun with the other abilities before you can't anymore!
All op builds are about dots😂
DOTs make us feel a certain type of happy so we need them to be very OP when the build is finished! haha
Heya! Im curious about something.. if you would use purple gear which one would you recommend with this build? And im gonna try my first nightmare run with this build! Itll be interesting to see how it goes
I talk about leveling items in the equipment section and generally you can use whatever you find while leveling that works for you until you are fully ready at the end. The correct elemental orb vs each different enemy type is very helpful as well as anything with affliction duration early on because it's hard sometimes to maintain without duration increase. Work on your weaving with your orb and light/heavy attack combos for over half the game before your gear becomes more settled. Orb and blade combat combos are king!
@@ImJustAnthonyTube my bad! I ment the unique gear .. pink? Purple? The weird coloured ones.. thanks for commenting tho.
Oh the unique items! One of them is popular for ability spam builds and it's the ring that makes all your abilities always crit but that really changes the build a lot. I made this build with the intention to absolutely not need unique and I actually think it is better because it doesn't use unique items. I encourage anyone to put unique items in the build and make it even better! A great build guide can sometimes be improved by someone else with a great vision.
This looks really good. I original wanted to do an affliction build, but when i saw some of the damage numbers from other videos, i changed my mind. They did decent damage, but when you can do ability spam builds and hit for damage cap, i didnt see the point. BUT, those videos only focused on like 1, maybe 2, afflictions, not all of them. Thats probably why they weren't doing a ton of damage. This looks way better and ill probably do this build now on my nightmare playthrough. 2 things also. 1) Me and someone else on discord did some testing to figure out how exactly the helmets work that give you bonus damage based off of faction strength. It turns out it isnt based off of the strength number or rank number, but rather the number of stars you have, and the max you can get is 3 stars. So for the death mask at max mourn watch strength, you get 25% from the first line, and 15%x3, so a total of 70%. We tested this out with all the helmets that do this, and it was the same with every one. 2) If you get bored and want to test out another build, you should try an ability spam build. There are 2 versions that work as far as i know. Going spellblade, use the garb of kinship, twin buckle binding belt, All mothers copse, and maw of the black city. Then make sure you have the passive that gives quickening when a strike ability crits so the belt always heals you. Now use void blade, ice blast, and meteor because they are all blast abilities that crit 100% of the time and give mana back. The other version is a death caller version that relies on the same belt and at least 1 strike skill to give full uptime of quickening on crit. This build can use any skill because death caller lets you use health instead of mana, and the belt heals you for the same amount that the skills cost, so it's like having free casts. Its a bit squishy compared to the spellblade version though.
Ability spam was definitely something I noticed others were achieving with success so I tried really hard to show that full affliction could also be amazing with still ability spam mayhem. THANK YOU for testing the helmets. That type of information is HUGE to know and for speculation on other stuff and how it works ( Looking at you - Companion relationship damage?).
@ImJustAnthonyTube Yeah, I had to test those helmets out because it was so unclear as to what exactly the bonus was. What really made me think about it is when another video stated that the defiant silence helmet gave 320% crit damage. Then i looked at another helmet that gives 15% light attack damage based on faction strength, and I thought " there is no way a single item gives 480%".
Excellent guide! This lines up pretty well with what I've been working towards. I'm going to refine my build when I get back on the game. I think I have most of your ingredients in place. My Harding went the other direction, because I couldn't ask that marshmallow of a dwarf to go the other way. A few of your enchants are missing from the build. it feels safe to guess, but what'd you go with for companion enchants?
Companion enchants most likely whatever flavor you want. As long as you can apply bleed late game for your glacier spike to crit for mana return. Can use "Attack my Target apply bleed" to easily fulfil that if you don't want to use lucanis or harding. Build can be flexible and I'm sure others are going to make it even stronger than I have with some tweaks.
Also, marshmallow of a dwarf had me! Thank you for watching and giving me a good laugh.
I’m at end game and seeing other peoples builds. This build looks great. I went in all shock and fire and always low on mana even though I’m using mana regen gear. I’d try this build but the equipment you have fully upgraded are still blue for me. :( It seems like gear is randomly upgraded or maybe cause I didn’t have them equipped?
I've had to be really tenacious in opening chests to get my gear to legendary. I had a (wrong) legendary for every gear slot before any of my equipped fear got there.
Most of your gear will not be legendary unless you complete all the content and find every piece of hidden loot in the game. This game has a lot of priority on exploration and side quests. Finish all zones and finish all companions. People watch me on stream and tell me they didn't know how many items they were skipping until they see me getting upgrades every few rooms with all the hidden chests. My new rogue playthrough has some items already purple before I was even level 15. Embrace your exploration inner demon!
thoughtful guide, thanks mate!
Glad you liked it! It's long but I wanted the guide to be very detailed so new players could also fully understand each important part.
Hey man, do you think you could make a nightmare viable evoker staff build ?
I like to make guides for builds that I play from start to end so I would need to make another mage. Currently thinking about moving over to rogue next. If the rogue goes well then maybe another mage. A staff lazer beam build does sound fun.
just the build i was looking for, as soon as i saw the spellblade focuse son burn/shock i knew i had to go affliciton
Same! I wanted to just make a burn and shock build because it was obvious but then being able to put every affliction in the game on the target and make them permanent really elevated the build. Glad you enjoy!
That's awesome dude, I love it! Great video! 🎉
More dots! All the dots! Thanks for watching! Appreciate the support.
This one's really good for if you want to take on enemies that you are severely underleveled for. All ya gotta do is avoid their attacks, and you can still do great damage cuz you eventually get their defense down to zero :D
They think they tough until you start taking off their safety helmet! "No no no no! wait wait wait wait!" :)
Even though this guide is very long with extensive detail, I still forgot to mention something important. The primary target NEEDS to have bleeding stacks late game so your Glacier Spike crit condition is met. Our blast abilities need to be crits as often as possible for mana sustain. This build was SO much fun to play and level up. I'm happy I picked spellblade as my specialization because the high mobility close range combat was amazing and they designed the spellblade beautifully.
I just brute forced it with 2 mage and Lucanis at level 14. 😂
Put his face in the dirt for me! He was needed so I had a good respec after that fight.
The message of the weapon states " when payment is due, youll be asked which way" i wonder if you use it that you have to make a decision of a permanent debuff or something like that, because the damage is ridiculous.
For how early you get that axe, it is crazy strong with no downside. At least no downside that was obvious to me before I exchanged it for something else.
Can't wait for your next build video! Thanks for the content. New sub here by the way! 😉👍
Awesome, thank you! Mage guide coming soon.
I am normally Rogue and mage. I haven't really gone far in the game created Rogue and mage class and played a bit with both to see which I wanted first run with. But then I saw Captain America build. So now I just made a Warrior going to spec a lot in to shield toss. I never really play warrior because they are often kind of boring. But because of the ranged shield toss that just annihilates enemies in groups and other abilities actually being kind of fun. And you having much more defense it's fun so far. I mean I just started but noticed how hard warrior actually hits.
I think they did a good job on warrior making it not feel like just a melee class. Each class seems to have decent build concepts for multiple playstyles. Enjoy the journey my friend!
Note that you can empower this build way more if u spec into critical hits and use bellara's big AOE ability that applies shocked. Also adds another affliction to the pile. Neve can be an alternate but u need a trinket that converts her chilled to shocked.
Everything affliction related puts a wicked grin on my face. Good suggestions my friend!
Great video, with several "niche" and interesting interactions. Good job and thank you! In case you are interested, I've been playing around with the warrior, with a very similar skill tree, but with stagger oriented gear instead of fire ones and oh boy, I'm not disappointed! The best hammer for stagger, immovable buffs, increased staggering and stagger duration (currently my stagger stat on the hammer is above 1800), add Bellara and Neve for slowing time and you got yourself real dps phases against bosses. Even ogres can be stagger with 2 to 4 shots with the hammer, hit them with the charged attacks from the same sword than you during the stagger phase (you have time to charge when you are facing a gigantic pinata ^^), perform the finisher/takedown (when you can) and get nice bonuses for doing so, rince and repeat xD I'll soon be able to try this with the shield that totally nullifies the defense of staggered ennemies 😍 Also, there is a hammer dealing more damage the more defense you have that could be interesting. Last but not least, I'm switching between heavy armor duo (for the +20% defense) and the intermediate duo for the added charged attack damage using the armor that also grants +10% damage per positive status (same than the one in the skill tree) 😉
That sounds so nice! Having the time slow definitely solves some problems I had with trying out stagger builds vs bosses. I swear, the companion choices are so important for builds! Thank you for sharing! I'm working on the nightmare mage build guide currently and then perhaps rogue after. So many possible builds that it's nice to hear what other people are crafting.
@@ImJustAnthonyTube Oh nice, looking forward to it! 🙂👌
Hey Anthony, just curious to know, if you know that the aspect ratio for your game seems to be incorrect. The image is flattened from the left and right side of your screen.
Yes indeed. I'm playing on ultra wide but streaming different ratio so it fits full screen on Twitch with their limitations. I also have a widescreen format that I use with overlay to hide the black bars on top and bottom when I use the correct ratio.
I'll be watching. First playthrough was invented to be a Nightmare spellbkade, but i just couldnt keep the damage sustained after a while. Curious to see it pulled off well.
We are level 41 I believe after todays stream and the spellblade domination is alive! I'm having twice as much fun on it as warrior with the insane dps uptime. Coming soon!
So Bioware is applying many fighting elements from SWTOR. Awesome.
I tell people that the combat is simple yet layered with complexity and, in my opinion, that makes it very enjoyable. Not sure about SWTOR combat but I'm happy if it influenced this game.
Nightmare has been so much fun! Finally a worthy challenge! I'm looking forward to the final build already. Nice little fun fact is that Void Blade critical condition is target is Sundered...it already detonates Sundered so that means it inherently has big Crit/Detonate combos for freeeee!
Loved watching the first video then the final one. What faction did you go? (I know the bonuses are minor, but still)
I went with Lords of Fortune because Dwarf in shiny gold armor looked awesome! Probably not a good nightmare pick. +1 potions on the Crows or Slightly more defense and hp from Wardens prob better... BUT GOLDEN ARMOR!
Been loving watching the evolution of this build. Definitely gonna respec to it.
Hell yeah! Thank you. Hopefully my Nightmare Mage journey will end with a spicy build!
This build is not min-maxed and has so much potential to be stronger. One simple thing I could have done to boost my damage A LOT was put "Attack My Target applies a stack of Shock to the target" on one of our companion weapons to make sure our grenades always crit. Leave a comment below on what else you think would make this even stronger without sacrificing tank. Also, we started our Nightmare Mage today! Look forward to seeing a build guide journey and impressions. We will be skipping story so it should go fast so we can then maybe do a rogue as well if the community enjoys these guides. Thanks all! Like and Subscribe helps a TON for new small channels like myself. 🥰
i really like this system!!! it’s modular and streamlined, although i wish there was a way to highlight abilities with tags though
like if i wanna see what affects all ___ abilities for example. that would be so good
The system is simple in design but then has tons of layers for mastering. More tags would be great for sure, we just need to figure it out as a community for now.
Simple amazing. And Dwarf!!! Even better!!
Rock and stone! Dwarf best warrior class!
Man I love your build , man can you show your slayer set up too , thank you for explaining the synergy of the skill tree and gear
My first build video for the warrior actually has the Slayer setup with the big smash. I think slayer can be really strong with a 2 handed mace and stagger build. My problem with stagger is that big bosses don't really care much about your stagger sadly.
No just that , slayer charge attack is abit too long , the best way I found to play as slayer is just spend one level 3 charge attack to generate your rage and spam your leap hammer just to keep up your dps consistently and don’t stack stagger for your gear instead stack charge attack and ability damage at least in my opinion , I end up using reaper build , reaper is just too overpowered and brain dead with shield tossing win , at least with your build make it more exciting to play as warrior again
I wonder how this would do on nightmare
The final version should be nightmare viable because I will have lots of defense and healing. Even currently I barely use any potions and steam rolling it on Underdog. Hardcore Nightmare mage will be my next playthrough
Yeah bruh don’t blame u for switching slayer. This specialization gets boring real quickly, I still sticking with it since I did alot of upgrades on the build but is just boring just charge attack for stagger, reaper and champion look a lot more fun than reaper
RIGHT! I'm starting to get more items and finish companion storylines and the hero abilities are making me change my gear and companion choices every few hours. I'm enjoying the game constantly making me want to try new stuff with every new item drop.
I wish you could make build templates, like build 1, 2, 3 etc so that I could play around more... I know if I completely change my build I'll forget exactly how it hat it lol
At least they made respec free with no penalty and we aren't locked into specializations at all. Freedom that other games try to just gate you for no reason. Also, yes I want templates too! lol
@@ImJustAnthonyTube truth!!
Bellera is so good to have on your team. 😂
Ah man, why you gotta hate on my Bel?! Lol, I'm actually about to bench her soon if my build keeps going in the direction I want with tons of dots. Might even go away from detonation combos for multi dot synergy. Always playing around with new stuff each day.
@@ImJustAnthonyTube I love Bellera
Lets gooooo!
Hey question im trying to do a eletricity build with warrior any help?
I would need to look at a lot of items and the skill tree to make a viable electric build. Any items with conversion of some type can be a great start to make element builds. I will keep this in mind and hit you back if I see a great starter item to work around.
I smell burning!!!! This is great!!! Wanna see more!!
Disclaimer- You DO NOT need the red unique ring to make this build work. SO many other rings would work with just 1 less burning stack. The combo can still be completed by enchanting a companion weapon with "Attack My Target applies burning to the target" to start the combo with Bel. Hope you guys enjoy. I will make one final build update once we finish the game with our full gear and tree before we start Ruthless mage! 🤘
