2006? RUclips really is a time machine
Ha too true. This kid is in grade 9 now!
This baby is now an adult
Hey Landon Does the other guy ever win? Lol. Hope your doing well. Blessing
Have you ever fought a big guy intent on hitting you? Theyre very hard ti block because of their size and leverage. I like tge way the technuque flows but id feel mire cinfident doing it in a guy close to my size ir maybe slightly taller, but nit against someone whos the size if Andre the giant. I had a sparring partner wgo was biggee taller and stronger than me and even when i successfully blocked his shots they still unbalanced me and made it hard ti counter
Yes, this is true. we have to remember though that you can't use everything for everyone. some techniques will work for some people and not for others. also these moves are shown here in sequence but can be broken up for sure. You need to make sure you have a good base when doing this or any fighting really. Having a good root will stop you from being unbalanced so easily. this is key. Also blocking, in general, doesn't work very well, if you can do it great, sometimes it can be really hard to do as well. If you are fighting someone way bigger than you if you are shorter it may be better to strike the ribs or kick the shins, kneecaps or groin. then follow up with other shots. Probably much better to stay on the outside with those type of people as well. good luck.
looks like I just came across james McNeil xing yivone of the best out there. come on guys post some five element forms and applications. thanks
more xing yi I like. this style
very similar to wing chun...good vids always enjoy them"-)
yeah they are good. not so much the quality i put up here but oh well.
Which martial art Is this?
Ivanildo Cafu, it's Splashing Hands.
not only has J. McNeil trained with a good boxer he has trained a few too. try to remember these are very quick quick movemments that can change at any second to adapt to the situation. he is breaking it down here to "form" but every move is seperate and can be used as such.
AWESOME
Yes..LoL she's very deadly, just like this guy..LOL!
Yes, I do. My reasoning was more along the lines of: if we were all born into that world, the majority would certainly grasp it. You probably agree with this, so I don't think we are poles apart, on reflection.
'Most people are not able to comprehend the spirit of kung fu fighting or healing' A sweeping statement. Just because people don't involve themselves in Kung Fu, doesn't mean they wouldn't be able to comprehend if if they did so.
DangerousDan, you obviously don't know who this is. Belts are to hold up your pants, nothing else.
@noodle213 this is most definitely not choreographed
Nice tech. for that given sinario, but the real deal is, in most fights a man is going to throw more than 2 punches right off, so if U don't stop him on the first attack, chances are he will get U with the third punch, and this is because it is a natrual body re flex, the double strike is wasted on the same attacking side. Just test it out by putting on some boxing gloves with any one and tell them to try and hit U. Still good coordination drill
in dancing terms its called ball change step
@TimeStrider one way to find out.
I wonder how this would do against another street fighting martial art: Kajukenbo?
@noodle213 you are a fool
What is this choreographed dogshit?
@seanofafrica well i guess there are exceptions to every rule. if that's all you have to say........?
If the best fighters talk the least shit, explain Ali please...
So your teaher is your Grandma?
@lankfu Yes, I second that! He can do that! And yes, it hurts! LOL You deffo don't want to come in twice! :-) Tee hee! x
Great move Thanks!
@balancex3 full contact sparring= judo baby
This is not so much a "leg change" as a "leg shuffle".
Isn't there supposed to be a twist stance in brown 1?
Nice martial arts bro
This man's got some skill!
One of the most practical methods I've seen in thirty years
@DangerousDan2 sound like a kid, "my dad can beat up your dad" grow up & show some respect
@lankfu i understand. can you please show me a video of full contact sparring? or maybe some type of fighter that uses similar style?
@balancex3 yeah true that. this is just showing some things and making it easy to see some of what we do. we are both going slow and trying to make it easy to see on video. of course people will stop if you hit them hard enough and/or often enough. lol
You guys should go at the same speed to get some real training in. usually people don't stop when you hit them, that's only in the movies.
@protatto so don't watch:)
wich style is this??
this dont prove anything.....omg really? these things in martials arts are stupid...no offense to martial arts.... but yea stupid way to show or prove something lemme see it in action!!
miss you guys
Yes it works. I showed my buddy how to do it this guy always got him with the upper cut, not any more!
@razmyboy uh... ok . have fun trying.
as one who has been on the receiving end of that block i can say that it works painfully and very well.
Lankfu - I have been watching your videos since a few months ago. They are really excellent and helpful. Can you point me towards more videos online that feature slow motion playback of forms or discussion/turorial of technique?
Interesting concepts.
