    Have you ever fought a big guy intent on hitting you? Theyre very hard ti block because of their size and leverage. I like tge way the technuque flows but id feel mire cinfident doing it in a guy close to my size ir maybe slightly taller, but nit against someone whos the size if Andre the giant. I had a sparring partner wgo was biggee taller and stronger than me and even when i successfully blocked his shots they still unbalanced me and made it hard ti counter

    • @lankfu
      @lankfu 5 лет назад

      Yes, this is true. we have to remember though that you can't use everything for everyone. some techniques will work for some people and not for others. also these moves are shown here in sequence but can be broken up for sure. You need to make sure you have a good base when doing this or any fighting really. Having a good root will stop you from being unbalanced so easily. this is key. Also blocking, in general, doesn't work very well, if you can do it great, sometimes it can be really hard to do as well. If you are fighting someone way bigger than you if you are shorter it may be better to strike the ribs or kick the shins, kneecaps or groin. then follow up with other shots. Probably much better to stay on the outside with those type of people as well. good luck.

  • @lankfu

    not only has J. McNeil trained with a good boxer he has trained a few too. try to remember these are very quick quick movemments that can change at any second to adapt to the situation. he is breaking it down here to "form" but every move is seperate and can be used as such.

    Yes, I do. My reasoning was more along the lines of: if we were all born into that world, the majority would certainly grasp it. You probably agree with this, so I don't think we are poles apart, on reflection.

    'Most people are not able to comprehend the spirit of kung fu fighting or healing' A sweeping statement. Just because people don't involve themselves in Kung Fu, doesn't mean they wouldn't be able to comprehend if if they did so.

  • @smkdude26

    Nice tech. for that given sinario, but the real deal is, in most fights a man is going to throw more than 2 punches right off, so if U don't stop him on the first attack, chances are he will get U with the third punch, and this is because it is a natrual body re flex, the double strike is wasted on the same attacking side. Just test it out by putting on some boxing gloves with any one and tell them to try and hit U. Still good coordination drill

  • @lankfu
    @lankfu 14 лет назад

    @balancex3 yeah true that. this is just showing some things and making it easy to see some of what we do. we are both going slow and trying to make it easy to see on video. of course people will stop if you hit them hard enough and/or often enough. lol

  • @balancex3
    @balancex3 14 лет назад

    You guys should go at the same speed to get some real training in. usually people don't stop when you hit them, that's only in the movies.
