Hey there :) Thank you for the comment! My main goal for this short film was to make people feel represented/spoken for (especially during the covid pandemic). I tried my best to show students don't always have it easy. With that said, I hope things get better for you Elsie. School eventually gets easier and you'll find all the time and peace you're missing rn :)

Hey, thank you :) Yes, I did the shoots by myself. I'm not going to lie; it is hard to film and act simultaneously, which is why I only used close-ups of myself. Fortunately, I was able to get the shots the way I wanted through a lot of patience. What helped was having the option to flip my camera screen to see where I should place myself to see me on frame. Then, for the last takes, I remembered where to stand and just repeated the shoots until I got the shot I wanted. Hope this helps :)

@@Valemica oh, so did you use camera mount for that? I've seen dance videos where people use a mount and then the camera follows their movement. Something like that? Thanks for replying, i wasn't really expecting you would 😆 So far I've made two videos, one is a music vid (i like making music, and so for my 12th grade media practical i made that, it drove me crazy cuz their was a lot of rework and editing {i hate editing idk why}) ( ruclips.net/video/Vq1HVXqzKO0/видео.html ) And another was a recent short film which was for a society audition. Their both on my channel. (I recommend you don't see the other one, it's too simple sort of has more drama and its in hindi) But none of them are as good as yours, but you are in a film school now and I'm just in a study college 😝 I think I'll be referring your film a lot for whatever i do next. Its so simple and brilliant. I've seen other films, but they were quite extensive and required a lot of resources. Yours was just compact and served the message and emotion well. I'm Subbed.

Of course, it's not perfect but believe me when I say that time and practice are all you need to improve. I'm not in film school rn. I ended up not going to NYU even though I got accepted. @@luluharshie3929 Hey, so I applied with no SAT or ACT and no AP's. Then my GPA was 4.0 unweighted. For extracurriculars, I played for my school's varsity soccer team, studied French, did community service, and had a photography and video production company. However, keep in mind that for these majors, essays and portfolios are more valuable. I've seen people with excellent grades and extracurriculars get rejected while other people with average grades get accepted.

@@mariamhany1533 Try to make your storytelling skills stand out. They don't care about how good your short film looks or how well edited it is, they want to know if you are able to tell a story. I think you can change careers, but I'm not sure how hard it is.

@@Valemica is film major harder than other tisch majors at NYU? Is it competitive? I feel like I’m not good enough:(

​@@mariamhany1533 I've heard is one of the hardest, yes, but don't let statistics tear you down. I was scared too, but I didn't let my fear take me down, and neither should you. You're gonna have competition everywhere. NYU is one of the best film schools, so yeah, it won't be easy. However, you gotta trust yourself and the process. Never think of yourself as "not good enough," because you're better than that. You should always think well of yourself, because what you think of yourself is more important than what others thinks. In the end, everything happens for a reason, so don't be scared :)
