i don't think he messed Jen around cause he never expressed any personal interest in her.besides what i think drew him to Audrey that he went through the same thing in the past and could relate to the way she's struggling to keep the "fine" facade on .but in the end when he got to know Jen better he fell for her.

OR MAYBE it's just because Jensen grew up in a strict (?) Christian home and was brought up conserved and (for lack of better words) proper.
