Just having fun upgrading this little 1/14 scale rc buggy in this video I installed a brushless system in the buggy my phone died as I was doing speed runs but I got about 50 mph with 2s stock battery and stock gears I'm sure I can get more top speed. THANKS FOR WATCHING...

How to fix a leaking RC Differential

I ordered this kit. However, I want to use the OS T1204 engine instead of the Kyosho .15 engine. Do you think this will be OK? Will it fit in the kit? I think I will need a different exhaust header. Also, I will need to use a starter box and am wondering if this chassis is compatible with a starter box.
I just ordered this for my 17, do they work well or cause any malfunctions? Being lighter? Thanks

Can you use any lipo batteries for the starter box?
yes preferably a 4s for more power

it's fine but with upgraded it probably won't last

Has anyone ever pulled the carb and put the engine in an oven at 250?
I’m sure you can do that to get the engine to temp the heat gun is to expand the metal and prevent ware and tare on the internals of the engine

Im glad you are showing others how to do the break in process properly, Ive been critisized for not doing one tank on the bench and then running the car on the ground at quarter throttle for the second tank and then half throttle for the third tank then 3/4 throttle for the fourth and then up to full throttle for the 5th. I learnt how to break in Glow engines with OS aircraft engines and back in the day you started them on a bench mount with a small propellor so as to not load the engine up while running them in, expensive engine or not it deserves to be broken in slowley if you want it to last and I believe that loading it up to soon will shorten the life of the engine.

does the engine need to be running rich during the break-in?
A brand new engine most of the times come lean, I would richen it a quarter turn until there’s a nice rich sound

No you have to solder on the connectors to the esc that your motor uses

Looks good. What grip tape is that? Seems like great option for gen 3. Does it stick well? I've used skateboard tape and it didn't last due to kydex hoster wear.

New diffs are only £9. Great video though
My understanding with this rc is that if you add more grease to the diffs they will last a lot longer, they add little grease from factory

@@weekendrc so would you say then, that 6v servos aren't as good as 7v + powered? I guess I'm asking as i just got mine, 8ight, and I'm going to run till i break something lol. But i have a track here locally too, so it's on my mind about upgrades to race.
@@ronin550 you would get the most out of the servo with 7v rather than 6v, but if 6v is all you need by all means its all about preference and what works for you and what your happy with at the end of the day

this is the best tutorial on RUclips, congratulations and thank you., when assembling it is necessary to apply some of the screws some glue, that some screws come with glue. If so what glue do you suggest using ? TKS

The glue I use is from hobbyTown.com it’s their IC-2000 it’s great because it holds strong and it’s rubbery when it dries up

What do you mean redo the end points? I just installed my savox servos while referencing your video and they kind of buzz just sitting there not doing anything. Kinda new to rc so don’t know if that’s normal or not
Savoy servos are noisy but they shouldn't be buzzing end points is adjusting the servos turn radius so you have the right amount of steering if its buzzing its because you have to much and you need to set the endpoint so you won't have to much thats how you kill a servo, I believe I have a video on how to adjust the endpoints

I can tell you’re very particular and precise with this break in process… very clean for the entire set up. Plus you don’t want to rush an expensive engine not breaking it in properly
