For breakfast one day, we took the bus down to Pino Suarez Mazatlan Market. Before most of the vendors on the first floor are open, there's a second floor filled with little restaurants that are ready to serve delicious traditional Mexican breakfast. It was hard to choose one!

    The sounds of dim sum! Beautiful park. Looks so peaceful. Re: sharpies....i got a pack of colored sharpies, thinking it would add a bit of fun, but lime green and ballet pink don't show up well on masking tape. No fun! 😂

    How is Skyview Dim sum these days? I heard the chef had moved to a different restaurant. The take out containers make me laugh (as in I recognize that). The freshFest menu sneak peak is amazing. I am sad that I am missing it, because I won’t be in town.

    Oh how I wish the strawberries we get here in California were as sweet, juicy and red throughout as the ones you guys are able to get. If I'm making a filling, any fruit but especially strawberries, I use frozen. From there it's the lucky of the draw as to whether or not the fresh strawberries here are sweet, juicy and red throughout ☹ Nice looking dessert. I'm sure it taste even better... 😋

      Hi Judi, thank you for watching! We had a lot of fun making it and documenting the process of such a labour intensive cake. I think you should make a few to test first and then decide if it's worth it to make more for a fundraiser :)

      @@StephandBruce I totally agree and was thinking the same thing... I had a small cafe... and always "Tested" food days before a big event... First thing is I need to know a ballpark figure of how much I could sell these for... then I would know if it is worth it. I will be about to get the Strawberries from a farm that is close by.
