reminds me of when i first did roofing 40 years ago the old guy said never grab the vent pipe it might pull out in your hands, and you will fall off the roof. I put plastic slate roof on my house so i would not have to replace it ever again and used copper flashing boots for nice authentic slate roof look, but the dam rubber seals fall apart every 5 to 10 years i started throwing a second one over the one replacing the original snapped into the copper when replacing them so the top one keeps the bottom one from breaking down in sun. I thought about getting your roof seals, but I like the look of the copper and worry the galvanized might rust over time.

This is an ok method, however relying on shingles to flash roof penetrations can be risky.

They messed up this expensive ass vent. Wasps are able to get in and nest in the housing and they also get into vent pipe because flapper doesnt seal and theynflyninto house. I regret buying this expensive vent with huge holes in the screen.

You didn't show the way the flapper works, had to show close up view of the flapper mechanism.

no caulk/sealant beneath the plate? Just want to make sure since I will install several of them on my new roof. I will appreciate any information.

I’ve looked all over RUclips I have yet to see anyone install one on a metal pipe. are they only designed for PVC? If not on the design for PVC what size for what size pipe
