@@MPPF4693 evening Mike, unfortunately I don't have any prince of Pembrey footage. Wish I had recorded and kept more footage from that era. I have a vhs converter still so if any tapes turn up I can concert and upload. Some great racing and memories from then. Thanks Alan, much appreciated. My brother's name is Faron Davies he was New Era Champion riding a Mistral Engineering tuned GSXR 1100 L (bored to 1260). It had a distinctive spray job. @@MPPF4693 those Nortons were something different, the sound and speed, local track was snetterton and they were fast down the back straight. Wish I was able to have recorded more club racing on video back in the 90s but deleted so much to record over, would have been good to look back, sort of why is started doing the races a year or so ago, so that the current riders can look back and see themselves in 30 odd years time. @@puckle69 they certainly were, hometrack was snetterton and the Nortons were super fast down the back straight great footage of them closing and passing down that straight. Jim was handy on the Suzuki

@@PescaraProductions pretty much,, it was the weekend after all the heavy rain, so parking on grass not advisable, the paddock was split to the hard standing areas in and outside of track. Not too many spectators there. Good little track and you get good views as cam get close and no tall fences. First time I had been there bit of a trek from Norfolk. Hope you keeping well, love the videos, shame about the weather at mallory boxing day.

@@billb7876 cracking race that one, that norton was quick especially in hands of Ron and Tel. These days would have had Ron's progress inlaid in the top corner of the footage

@@alanflack I gave Ron a bottle of German beer in the pits at Donington after he raced the standard Honda V4 in the Transatlantic races. And more recently Jamie Witham sat on my vintage Francis Barnett. My claim to fame lol

@@alanrichardson5606 thanks for the info. Sidecars are amazing machines and complex, sometimes temperamental. Love watching them. Ryde chasis are looking at building a 500cc one for next season.

@@alanflack yes, it should be interesting. i had a 500 for a short time, but that was the old TZ engine.

@@philbraithwaite1316 snetterton always been fast circuit, remember the old norwich straight on only 2 occasions with the tight hairpin, must have been some great racing then and great names.

@@alanflack Indeed, great memories. I even remember Barry Sheene flying in on his helicopter at one ROA meeting just to have a chat in the commentary box with Mick Grant between races. Great times.

Can't be sure, i like the Kenny Roberts livery on it. it was a bit of a rush to get round as didn't realise the event was on until drove past so went to grab camera from home and had quick half hour there. Lots of bikes there great to see so many GPZ900s and Katanas along with the old 2 strokes.

Riches and the bombhole still good corners there. Sears was a great corner key to a quick lap, but just couldn't spectate anywhere near it, which was a shame

@@bernardarcher4028 evening Bernard, glad you enjoy the races. Yes not too many bike races at Snetterton, that is my local track. Been fun doing all the rounds this year, Pembrey was a good trip! In terms of editing, for the races I use Microsoft clipchamp, i find it allows me to select from the 6 different cameras easily, though can be quite slow but that is most probably the computer i use,, for the highlights /preview videos I use caput (free version). There may be better software, but in terms of free to use, I found these the most straightforward. Though will be doing some research as each video does take a while to produce.. Regards Alan

WoW l wasn't expecting a reply has quick as that Alan, thanks for the input. I did a few weekends at Classic Motorcycle races this year, the highlight being The Classic Motorcycle Festival at Donington Park, the whole weekend was brilliant and so laid back, l found walking around the pits & static pit area during the evening, looking, admiring and any question was answered in fact it was encouraged.
