This video while welcomed, is really badly put together unless you already know what the pieces look like and where they go. The text overlay is informative but blocks the photos so is really annoying, and more pictures would’ve been better. Best to get the plastic trim removal tools, and possibly use masking along the edges. There are four big clips, two on either side that hold the top down - search the net for pics to find the appropriate locations. There are two smaller clips closest to the windscreen, at least one will snap off, but doesn’t matter. So maybe you’d want at least two large pry tools to jam and lift the clips - they’re deep too, then when you are ready to lift it, pull straight up, and be careful with the windscreen.

did you ever manage to remove that thing? it's fighting back im afraid i will crack it or something

Putting a 2DIN navigation pod on top is relatively easy. Finding a good sample for reasonable money is the hard part.
