Rue Pigalle is a Toronto-based company that creates bespoke European travel adventures for women who are patrons of exquisite craftsmanship. The women-only trips include exclusive experiential moments with artists in their studios, private dinners with inspiring guests, and insider tours of charming neighbourhoods, museums, vintage markets and beguiling shops. Isabelle Fish, who was born and raised in France, founded Rue Pigalle because she wanted to build a community that champions independent designers and their mastery. A Rue Pigalle tour is its own beautifully crafted work of art. In addition to her trips, Fish and her team profile notable artists and collectors on their blog and social platforms. Rue Pigalle is a mindset-whether you join us on a trip or attend our special evening events-it’s a gathering place for curious, clever women who crave genuine connections as well as animated and thoughtful conversations around life, jewelry, culture and the arts.

The Rue Pigalle Textiles Group meets online once a month, on the first Friday, to share our own work and catch up - we have embroiderers, quilters, knitters, weavers, felters, appliqué-ists and all kinds of fibre artists in our numbers - and those like me who are just there to appreciate and learn.
Sometimes we invite a speaker - recently we held a very special online meeting to hear from the Canadian textiles legend that is Judy Martin. I first saw Judy’s work at Guildworks in Bloomfield, Prince Edward County - she recently sold the piece ‘My Awakened Heart’ there. I was so lucky to see a wonderful exhibit of Judith Martin's on Manitoulin Island. We were visiting and in Gore Bay. Her work is interesting, deep, beautiful, textural. I came away feeling touched by beauty and much to think about.

Art is supposed to be life lasting and it is. I congratulate Deborah!!! I watch the blown glass series she was in, all of the glass art I saw was wonderfully beautiful. The one I remember the most is her toothpaste. I now, every time I use crest deep clean I will forever remember Miss. Deborah. Congratulations 👏 you will not be forgotten in my life time any way. Yes but how does Gemma produce the actual drawing? What medium does she use?
it depends on the process but she draws directly on the plate or the stone, sometime with a resist process. If you go on her website or her instagram she has a lot of great posts. Thank you for your interest, it's lovely to meet you.
