I edc the gamut 2.0 .. great mid size bag, but its heavier than id like... Basic edc load out are 4 spare mags, water. Med kit. Gloves and Benie . And lunch.. What do you think about the weight..?

The Gamut is I great bag. I ended up going with a 5.11 LVC Covert Carry pack 45L. It has a better dedicated space for my 11.5 on a Law folder. And, space for other items. It’s a bit taller than my Gamut. But doesn’t look odd on my 6’7” body. Great video though!! 👍🏽

That's way expensive backpack for a sitting in the back of the truck. A backpack for a maximum $50 is the best choice. They are also with wkk zipper and waterproof.

Anyway, constructive criticism; I think your video is kinda slow and drawn out. You say a lot of pointless things and you're repetitive. Also, a get home bag should have shit in there to get home as if you're new home, not as if you have to walk to the other side of the state. Even if it was 20 miles, you can jog that without even having to stay the night somewhere. Therefore, that bag could be way smaller. Just some pointers man.

Hi, thanks for your ideas. Just something to maybe consider... what if you for some reason in an emergency have to drive an hour or 2 in the opposite direction of home or maybe are even just stuck on the freeway for an unusully long time? I like the idea of a small bag that meets a few basic needs if you have to move fast for a short walk, but honestly I think we are doing ourselves a disservice if we don't have a small back pack also with other useful gear. You have a milar bag just in case...but if you sleep in one overnight on a cool evening you will wish you had a compact sleeping bag. If you need that and it's lousy weather, you will also want a poncho or light tarp probably. Why not some food possibly? I like your bag overall for the 5 mile walk home, but I do think having some extra options in case things don't go as planned might also be a good idea for most people also. For very little extra weight and space in a slightly larger bag you could really improve your resources in case you are ever in a situation where milar sleep bags, saws, and firekits were ever needed. Anyway thanks for posting and have a great night.
