I am pretty sure Heihachi doesn't survive the encounter in T7. Judging by the trailer, Reina tries to "resurrect" Heihachi via some ritual (hence King of Iron Resurrection). Heihachi also appears younger than his T7 counterpart indicating he has revived but more youthful (much blacker hair than his greys). Seems he was actually brought back to life!
