I was cancer free following my tumor being removed in my vaginal space and resection in my colon. Since I have not stopped diarrhea and my bladder was damaged from radiation. I have ostomy's from radiation damage. I was wondering if you could help me, currently at u of m gi and urology for continuing health issues Is there any help please

I've just finished radiation therapy to my whole sacrum and right hip. Never would I suggest radiation to the sacrum. My bowel and bladder have gone beserk. I've cancelled all appointments for the next two weeks because I am too frightened I won't find a loo in time.

Why are people not being warned about the dangers of radiation, even simple medical xrays and ct scans

I suffered from radiation poisoning after an abdomen and pelvic ct scan. Brutal. They claimed my inflamation of my small bowel was unexplained. Turns out it was radiation enterprise. Unreal. Radiation is doing more damage than good

I had a diagnosis of a neoplasm in my pancreas duct. Two different gastroenterologists wanted to do a Whipple on me. The main g.i. doctor said I will outlive the neoplasm. Those 4% to 10% of patients whose BD IPMN’s were resected, did they have worrisome features to begin with or not? Also the feature of having 4 plus IPMNs and the associated malignancy…is this relevant if the patient does not otherwise have worrisome features? Also at 9:27, those 52 patients with 4 plus cysts, did they otherwise show worrisome features, why did they have surgery ? The report mentions incidental BD IPMNs in asymptomatic patients….and 90% of incidental cysts are less than 3 cm in size which means they didn’t have the criteria for worrisome feature but yet 4% to 10% have been found to have concurrent pancreatic ductal carcinoma?

Radiation appears to have drastic side effects.

This is excellent information for the patient, as well as medical pros! Even though there was terminology I grasped only tenuously, the statistcal risk info was invaluable as I wait for further evaluatin and follow up with my pulmonologist. (Have 8.6mm nodule...wish me luck!)

I have stage 4 appendix lcancer.. And theres several nodules in my lungs but its too smal for biopsy to check if its cancerous but they say it is obviously likely that it is cancerous.. But i choose to believe its not.. i breathe fine..
