E-flite F-18 elevator/ flying stab modification
Просмотров 1 тыс.4 года назад
I just picked up this 18 and after reading and seeing issues with the stab I decided to mod in similar fashioned goniacs. I had some old freewing mig 21 servo horns that fit perfectly on the servo spline so I created a heavy duty mod That wasn’t to challenging. I used 4-40 socket head screw and nylon lock nut, a little aluminum tape on the threads where it fits into the sliding control horn. I ...

It is an amazing flyer, shown off beautifully by the pilot. I surmise that this model uses a turbo jet - I could spot apertures let in around the nose for its air intake. I liked the "under new management" finish - presumably from a captured example that passed through RAF hands. The yellow underside (used for "prototypes" in the 40s) looks particularly good against a blue sky. Kudos to pilot & constructor(s)!
Paint German signs on it!
Great flyer, great pilot. Now I want to see a full size reproduction that utilizes a modern turbine instead of a rocket. Great model. Loved the takeoff dolly and the dead stick landing.
and then inverted knife-edge pirouette straight into an 8-pt roll. Because Truth, Beauty, and Goodness.
also This. Because Four-Point-Roll. Followed by double-aileron roll on axis. I am not worthy.
This. Because Masterpiece.
I'm British. And only an hours drive from where I live is an imperial War museum called RAF Cosford. And the have on permanent display is a Komet Me 163. And next to it is a Me 262. Try Google Earth to learn more.
What an increadible skilled pilot! A precision landing in front of him, using no engine.... many private pilots can not do that, such an exercise without engine.
Beautiful…..😎
Willst du dich nicht gleich reinsetzen 😂😂😂
German plane..German markins
just jump in it and fly it. 🤣
Not the prettiest aircraft ever designed, but superbly flown.
Great video thanks for sharing. If ever Ali brings brings this to back to the UK it would be great to do a flight or 2 together with the Heinkel I’m testing. 🤩 I would really love one of these aircraft though. Looks stunning in the air. Great job on the colour scheme. 👌
Hallo ist diese wunder schönes Modell auch zu kaufen.lg stefan
Magnificent.
Great video Brandon! I look forward to the next part!
Beautiful flight Ali! What a way to show off a gorgeous jet, pure beauty in flight.
Incredible aircraft and incredible flying, incredibly irritating and annoying camera work, pity, it took a great experience to just ok.
Great plane..crap music spoiled the vid though :(
Beautiful flying air craft and a skilled pilot. Very impressive.
Excellent video of a great subject and perfect flying, but the music ruined it for me.
Nice model, but the paintwork!🙁 Really!?
Sweet ❤
With RAF markings?
Yes, for flight evaluations at RAF Farnborough. Note the yellow P (Prototype)in circle rear fuselage.
Music not so good.
It’s totally crap
Dr. Lippisch would have been impressed!
Great video, cool model and excellent flown!
Very nice airplane, TOP pilot as always, greetings from Remi, Belgium
Plane and pilot become one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If it is not a rocket engine, where are the air intakes for the jet turbine?
Look closely at the front of plane
@@Mikeylikesit1968 I've seen them, but they do not look very 'open' to me.
4:41.,..👍😁😁😁🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺😁😁😁👍
Super impressive, congratulations.
Camera man is terrible 😞
I think the plane goes out of frame because for whatever reason they decided to crop the video to a square instead of leaving it wide-screen
Why do people shoot any subject with cellphones turned vertical?
@briansilcox5720 they have what's called vertical syndrome
Wow! Super smooth flight!
Wow the way she rolls super axial and Ali's flying super smooth and accurate amazing
Love the jet….. very nice flying Cameraman…… dude…. Make an effort.
Vania propaganda channel!!!
An amazing aircraft!
Interesting insignia
It was the captured 163 Winkle Brown was said to have flown.
@@davewilshere The German ground crew tried to talk him out of taking it up. Said it was too dangerous.
Beautiful - such a rare bird, and what a great choice of livery!!! Out of curiosity, how does it, or would it, handle with the turbine off? Decent glide ratio, or slightly better than a brick?
@@redguard2946 Ali actually turn the engine off on many of the flights and glided it in with acrobatics along the way. I know the musics going but on a few landings you can hear there’s no engine running. So to answer your question it flys like glider or to quote Ali “it fly like a big ZAGI” ! If you’ve been in the hobby you know what that is!!!
Oh man , really...vf241..
Nice!!👏🏻
Cool! Why is he shaking the plane on the ground at start up?
To shake loose any air bubbles in the fuel lines if there’s any bubbles in the line, it would cause a flame out on the turbine.
What a thing of beauty. Great job Infinity RC. I can’t wait to see these at your local flying club.
What a thing of beauty ! Dose your guide dog like it ?
hello brandon, what size are your propeller ?
Hi Brandon . I put a 3 mm strip of credit card perfect depth under the one side of the bracket this works fine. When the bracket is tightened down it moves the top near to the servo horn and brings the white stud through the bracket perfectly. Simple fix and works fine. 🇬🇧
Do you think you could send me a link to all the parts you used
screw and lock nut at most hobby shops the freewing servo horn was from the freewing mig 21 plane elevator servo. I’m not sure if they sell those separately try motionrc.com or try to find another servo horn with the same spline count as the eflite
Brandon Archer ok thanks
way better, Horizon take note
This plane costs 1000 dollars in australia and it's a shame that we would have to fix this out of the box.
Did you mount the engine horizontal?
No Inverted see video at 37 sec
how is it garbage
