STAR KINGS is Michael Hanson's introspective look at his teenage youth growing up in small town Ontario (Holland Landing) in a "rite de passage" song that draws a connection in the mid-seventies between the power of the stars with first love and sex .. a glace back to the pinnacle of his youth. The Star Kings is a theme Hanson came up with in which he gives the glittering stars and the night sky most of the credit for the heart-pounding romantic moments in the forest with first-time lovers ("follow the willow path") and then... weight that one carries later in life when it's all over.
