This is not true. No one alive today was "born under the works of the law" and no one alive today was ever "under its curse". THEREFORE, No one alive today is/was redeemed from its curse. Thats a fact and a HUGE problem. Three questions: Were you ever part of the Old Covenant that Moses mediated? Were you born subject to the Mosaic law? Did Christ redeem you from the curse of the law? Correct answers: No No No

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (December 26, Christmas 1), this was our Old Testament Lesson of the Day. And here is hoping that everyone reading this had a Merry Christmas and has a Happy New Year.

I come to Divine Peace because the Bible and the teaching of the word of God. God is in the mist among us. I come to worship God and to take the sacraments for the forgiveness of sins. The people are friendly, the Pastor is knowledgeable. Main focus is God is there will all of us in our worship.

Time to look to God for his wisdom, Thank you.

I misspoke in the sermon Sunday with reference to 2 Timothy 1:12-14. I said that Timothy needed to guard his life/his soul/what was saved by Jesus referencing verses 13-14, but that is not correct. In verse 12, Paul references his life as being entrusted to Jesus. But in verses 13-14, Paul entrusts the truth or the gospel to Timothy to guard. He is to guard the truth because the devil and unbelieving world will try to take it from him, and if he loses the truth, then he will lose his faith and eternal life in heaven. The Holy Spirit helps Timothy and all of us guard the truth and the gospel. It is the truth of the gospel that we all trust in for eternal life, eternal life that is guarded by Jesus. Praise God for his power to give us faith in Jesus and eternal life through him!
