From a demonstration of the Windows 98 OEM Preinstallation Kit. Like others before and after it, the Windows 98 OEM Preinstallation Kit is a program Microsoft provided to PC manufacturers which sold large quantities of specific PC models and needed to preload them with drivers, updates, and new software. This video from the Microsoft OEM System Builder Program demonstrates a new installation of...

Raw news footage displaying some perhaps unexpected capabilities of the regularly trivialized Windows 1.x graphical environment. Did you know that Windows 1.0 had multimedia capabilities? Some raw footage taken for a broadcasting company in April 1987 includes a glimpse into what would've eventually become Microsoft Encarta. It's also one of the earliest technical demonstrations of the CD-ROM (...

This video was found and digitized by me in a stockpile of VHS tapes I found. With the showcase of the DTL-H500C in the Controller test and the lack of noticeable chimes in the startup, the November 1993 test date seems acceptable, and could even date back to March. This ATL took place in years that it has 3 digits. This means that Y2K for this is Y6C or Y6H or the Year 600 problem/bug and like Y2K, many computers updated from 2 to 3 digits, which in this time was the entire year digit. However, this means that the three digit will overflow back to 1 after 12/31/999 and making the next year, 1.
