    Hello, great review. Only wanted to ask about the width of the shoe. I have a bit wider feet. I heard that this shoe is narrow. Do you think it is that bad? I am planning to use them mostly for 5 to 10k races and maybe some fast track workouts so nothing longer than 40 minutes. Do you think that i will do alright with them? Thank you.

    As a fellow “boring” European, I totally agree with you on the colorway. This variant is the only reason I am interested in the Mach 6 in the first place compared to other Hoka offerings or Saucony for example. What can you suggest lightweight trainer? I just need another shoe, just so I can preserve the life my one and only shoe (Superblast 2). I am thinking of Hoka Mach 6 or anything that has a a lower stack than the SB2, just so I can provide different stimulus. Can you give me more options that I can pair with my SB2, since Hoka Mach 6 is not available locally. Budget isn't really an issue Weight: 150lbs/68kgs. 174cm/5'7"

    I used the Diadora Gara for 10km and half marathon runs. The shoe is more stable than user supershoes. I changed the insole and than in fits very good,. The ride is soft and responsive. Works best at pace 3:40-4:15 min/km for me. Drawback are the price and the durability of the outsole. Its weared out totally after a bit more than 100km.

    I'm on my third pair, and I really like them. I run all year round here in Ireland and usually cover 15 to 20 km a week in 3 or 4 runs, the furthest I've gone is 15k and I'd average around 5:30 perk for 5k. I'm 56 and a casual runner, running on tarmac. I find them to be comfortable right out of the box and lightweight, surprisingly durable, one pair did wear a tiny hole in the upper after 8 months. Funnily enough, one of the nice things about them is that they don't smell, which is cool. I am thinking of trying to do a half marathon and based on your comments, I may have to look at something softer? I'd be loathe to ditch the Revolutions though as I like them so much. I am prone to knee pain though, do you think a softer sole would suit me?

    • @runners_box
      @runners_box Месяц назад

      Actually I think if you ran 15k in them in one go and felt ok - I wouldn’t change it ;) of course you could try something different, softer, but if you have no issues in Revolutions then maybe you don’t need, well, a revolution :)

    Nice review, very thorough. I think I'm going to give this shoe a try. I like a firmer midsole, not the mostly spongy ones that you sink into. Also, the plastic plate is less aggressive than a carbon plate, which suits me better. I'll use this shoe for my long runs, 25-30km. I agree with the con about the heel counter height. I have the Altra Torin 7 and it has the same thing. I think they see it as a pull tab to more easily get the shoe on. One correction, the USD price is $180.

      Yes, especially if you’re comparing older models to the new ones. I usually look not at the size, but at the insole length (most companies usually put this info in the sizing chart). The difference shouldn’t be big, but it can be there unfortunately:(

      Yes, B12 is better in everything, especially long runs. That’s why it’s also more expensive;) I’d say SL2 is a budget choice. If you’re able to buy Bostons I’d always choose them over SL2. SL2 are great shoes considering the price, but if you take the price out of the equation - they’re alright, but there’s a lot of better options ;)

      I found this shoe exactly like you. Good for anything but long runs. Not stable enough for trails. Long run problem is for me, under big toe there is only firmer foam. While all the rest there is soft foam. But it is good training for big toe.

    • @runners_box
      @runners_box 4 месяца назад

      That’s interesting! I’ve run in Bostons, AP2 and Takumi Sens and in every case I couldn’t complain on the rubber’s durability. While in Sl2 after ~100k I already see some wear and tear. But that’s possible that it’s because of the tread - in all of those different shoes I’ve mentioned it’s usually pretty flat. Thanks for your comment! 🙌

    Thank you for the insightful review. I especially liked the part where you explained how the shoe performs at different running speeds. One question: in the video it looks like you’re pronating quite a bit. Is this part of your natural running style or are the shoes stimulating that ? And how did that feel to you ?

    • @runners_box
      @runners_box 4 месяца назад

      It’s a part of my natural running style, but to be fair - these shoes (as most of the “racing” shoes) are not stable. If you have issues with overpronation just like as I do you could have some issues running in Takumi Sens. For me it wasn’t a problem, i didn’t feel any discomfort and stuff like that, but I imagine for some people it could be totally different.

    Hi michal. Love your videos especially your tier video. Quick question. I'm trying to find a pair of running shoes. I have a slight overpronation when running. I noticed that you do as well and wanted to know how neutral shoes vs stability shoes work for you. Also, any recommendations for a midfoot striker like me?

    • @runners_box
      @runners_box 5 месяцев назад

      Hi! In my case usually I have no problems with using neutral shoes, but in some cases I feel some discomfort on longer distances (like here in the Endorphin Speed 4). But for example in Superblast 2 I have no issues even around 30k long runs. I have tested a few stability shoes this year, but none felt “fun” unfortunately. Next month there should be Saucony Tempus 2 - tempo trainer for overpronators so i’ll definitely check them out. You asked for recommendations - what kind of shoe are you looking for? Daily trainer or more of a tempo shoe? :)

    • @therandomkorean
      @therandomkorean 5 месяцев назад

      @@runners_box Right now I have a two year old Nike flyknit that I got when I didn't have much knowledge in shoes but I see that it's a bit bouncy, narrow, and more of a heel striker friendly shoe. Knowing that you're fine in a superblast for such long runs is reassuring since stability shoes don't really look "fun" to me as well (though I've never tried them on). I'm looking for a low drop (0-6mm) daily jogger. I did order the Clifton 9 online to see if my feet will fit it and awaiting arrival. In Seoul, the New Balance Rebel V4 will re-release next week and wondering if that's a good add on to rotate in my runs for a tempo geared shoe. My other two options for daily joggers were the New Balance 1080 and 860 but wasn't exactly inspired by the designs or available color options in my country. The Tempus 2 seems intriguing. I'll keep an eye out for that.
