The only thing Renegades get testy about is talking over Rens music or reacting to the wrong video version. Lol And you don't have to like them all. There's a few that miss me. But it's just that there a about 100 or so that are incredible. Appreciate the reaction to our Sick Boi. Also keep reacting to Ren and your channel will grow. This dude is different. He will constantly surprise you with his versatility and greatness. And the Renegade community, none else like it man. We leave the a lot of the BS alone. I haven't watched your “Hi Ren” reaction yet, which is the song that put Ren on everyone's radar in December 2022, but I'll watch it next. However, Ren's earliest recordings on RUclips are from his time in a band called “Trick The Fox,” consisting of Ren and his buddies Charlie and Tommy. Unfortunately, the band performed only briefly due to Ren's onset of health issues. They are very talented. A fun clip to watch is “The Mash-Up.” Ren's trilogy “The Tale of Jenny/Screech/Violet” has been likened to a Shakespearean tragedy and is a prime example of his genius; it is a master's class in storytelling and also showcases his guitar skills. The three acts are haunting, and the conclusion will catch you off guard. The trilogy needs to be watched in the order given, as this is the flow of the storyline and is best watched as a whole rather than piecemeal. Ren's Hip Hop/Rap style songs are worth checking out if you enjoy this genre; unfortunately, sexual innuendos are pervasive in hip-hop and rap, and Ren makes such references in several of his songs. Check out “The Hunger,” “Genesis,” “What You Want,” “Losing It (FISHER rap retake),” “Right Here, Right Now (Fatboy Slim one shot retake),” “Life is Funny,” “Love Music (Parts 1, 2, 3, and 4),” “Crucify Your Culture,” “Power,” “Hold On,” his recent release, “Down On The Beat (feat. Viktus),” “Masochist,” his song “Halftime (Nas Retake),” and “Troubles,” just to name a few. Ren's collaborations with Chinchilla (“Chalk Outlines,” “How to Be Me,” “Sexual Healing,” “One Dance/Drunk in Love”) are beautiful and showcase his singing voice. His live music videos are especially impressive. Ren's personal reflections are threaded through many of his songs; “Insomnia,” “Depression,” “Diazepam,” “Penitence,” “Dear God,” “Heretic,” “Dominos,” his “Freckled Angels” album, in particular his song “Fire,” just to name a few, all deserve a listen. His song “Money Game” (Part I, II & III) is another recommendation, although it is less of a personal song than it is an indictment of greed and the resulting injustices in this world. Ren just released “Money Game Part III,” and in my opinion, it is his best work to date. Ren's performances with Sam Tompkins (“Blind Eyed,” “Earned It /Man's World / Falling,” “Walking on the Moon/No Diggity,” “Feeling Good/Trouble So High/Masterblaster (Jammin'),” “Latch,” “Wild Thoughts/Crazy in love (Live Session),” “Same Old Situation (Live, feat. Ren),” “Improvising Around Stevie Wonder,” “, Live in the Streets of Brighton, UK,” “What Went Wrong” Part I&II) are definitely a must. Also, his collaborations with Eden Nash (“Humble,” “Ocean”), Bibi (“Crutch,” “Ahiahiaoha”), Molly McKinna (“Penitence”), Orlean (“Jessica”), his former bandmate Romain Axisa (“French Song”), are all great. Last but not least, Ren's busking sessions with Liv Sangster are awesome. I recently discovered that Ren also recorded a cover of “Can't Help Falling In Love (Elvis Cover),” which is simply beautiful. “The Big Push” (Ren Gill, Gorran Kendall, Romain Axisa, and Glen Chambers) busking sessions, concerts, and live recordings all are amazing and well worth checking out. All but the drummer sing lead vocals at times. They are each incredibly gifted artists. Their covers of “I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop,” “Wade in the Water/Nina Simone/Trouble So Hard,” “War Pigs,” “Roadhouse Blues,” “My Generation,” “Paint It Black,” “An Englishman in New York,” “Bongo Bong” are excellent. On “These Boots Are Made For Walking'/Satisfaction/Everybody,” “Praise You” (Fatboy Slim Cover), and “What Kind Of Woman Is This,” all three take a turn singing. The songs “Oh My Woman,” “Swan Song,” “Sweet Little Lady,” “It's Alright,” “Dignity,” “Watch Out,” and so many others are equally impressive. In 2023, Ren released “Sick Boi,” “Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve retake),” which is another masterful work, “Illest Of Our Time,” and “Animal Flow,” which is out in two versions, a full-production music video, and a live, one-take acoustic version. Ren's release, “Su!cIde,” is a sad, haunting, gut-wrenching tribute to Ren's friend Joe who took his own life. Ren’s follow-up to “Su!cIde,” “For Joe,” is also sad and emotional, but strangely enough, it offers a sense of closure. Ren also premiered the official music video of his song “Murderer,” and followed it up with a newly recorded acoustic live version that is phenomenal and my favorite of the two versions. His releases, “Love Music Part 4,” “Masochist,” “Lost All Faith,” are from his album, “Sick Boi,” which came out on October 13th, 2023; it made it to #1 on the UK Album Charts. Ren also released “Back on 74/Message in a Bottle (Live Retake),” “Fred Again Mashup,” as well as a number of Live acoustic versions of previously released songs, and “Bittersweet Symphony (Live)” premiered August 26, 2024. Ren’s release, “Kujo Beatdown” is worth watching, but it is important that you watch Ren’s video preceding the release, where he goes into great detail as to what let up to the making of the song. Ren’s release, “Money Ties,” is another amazing work, as is his latest work, “Slaughter House”. “Slaughter House” is also the title of his next album and will likely be a two-volume release. Ren stated that he currently has 23 tracks finished and is working on a 24th track for it. In total, he has close to 40 new songs completed, some of which may not even get released. However, Ren will be releasing a lot of new music throughout the year, while he will be in Mexico, undergoing more stem cell treatment. There are about a hundred double and triple entendres with every line. Impossible to catch them all unless you’re Knox Hill. I suggest you watch Knox Hill’s reaction and breakdown of this track to truly catch the lyrical genius that is Ren (and Knox’s genius in catching them real time - it’s incredible!) BTW - he said: “Coz rap without Ren is like a skull without a brain, dude Or like a feminist with no one to complain to…” at the beginning. I love when hip hop guys react to this one, it helps show how deep Ren is in the genre and tends to put worries to rest. Yeah, he spans multi genres, but he isn't just a white guy trying to colonize rap, he has such love and respect and knowledge. I am just always glad when he gets that respect and, hopefully, love back. He deserves so much. Ren's "retakes" are non-monetized, mostly short, works where he either puts his own words over the original music or performs their lyrics with his own arrangement. He does them both to give respect to his influences and to try to turn his fans on to music they might not have given a chance otherwise. His fanbase is so eclectic, many aren't really into all the genres he touches (honestly, myself included). Obviously, Nas doesn't need Ren's help... but it's still cool that if you go check out Halftime on YT, you'll see Renegades up in the comments, newly exposed to a legend. Give respect while they're still alive, indeed.

Ren usually posts the lyrics in the description or comments of the videos if you ever wanna peep em. Yea, the subtitles usually suck with his music.
