This is our new RUclips channel for the Mojave Valley RC Adventures website. The goal here is to share compiled clips from our different RC testing projects which appear on our website. You will see that the videos are basic in nature, but if there is something shown which you would like to know more about, follow the links in the video descriptions to see the full review on our website.
We do not have a pay wall or anything of that nature; all of our content on the website is free to the public. We do not sell anything; we are not here for your money. No hats, no shirts, no stickers. If you do social media, we are on IG under the same name. We gave up on FB; it wasn't worth the effort. We will be uploading more clips from our website reviews soon.

JConcepts Megalithic Tire Compilation
Howdy all, we just wrapped up our review of the JConcepts 1.9" Megalithic rock crawler tire and we wanted to share the video compilation from the testing process. It's one of our longer videos showing both the Vanquish VRD carbon kit truck as well as our RC Speedy moon buggy.

We are finishing up the Megalithic review and wanted to share a short clip of the VRD working through a tricky section on the trail. While the video isn't terribly exciting, but about midway thought the video, it does show just how predictable and controllable the VRD crawler is on this terrain. Taking advantage of the fine weather, we headed up one of our favorite trails at Badrock Ridge. Out on the trail testing the @JConceptsLive 1.9" Megalithic crawler tires with our RC Speedy moon buggy. This is a pair of clips from the day, showing some steep, slick sandstone performance from there tires. Unlike the lightweight carbon chassis crawlers in the fleet, the heavier Ti moon buggy chassis makes these ascents a bit more challenging.

Had a chance to get out for a bit of testing at Leclerc rock formation with the Antero, and while cold and windy, we had a pretty good time on the trail. We headed out for a short crawl at Calico Basin with a newly setup Vanquish VRD Carbon kit. This is our 3rd VRD kit in the fleet. The only changes we've made from the factory kit is to install Incision drive shafts and an in-house designed rear-link riser. what is your first choice for tires? what body is that?

Do you like the megalithic or the ruptures better?
Ruptures are better for all-out performance. Megas are fun and perform well, but are not quite at the same level.
Look at all that shiny shiny brass bling:) Love the build, great body and wheel choice. Looking forward to building a vrd carbon kit.
What inserts are you running?
CI comp cut two stage. I think the 4.25's if I remember correctly.

Did the element zuul body fit right on or did you need to do any mods? This video is sick, was the tipping point on the decision to build one!
We trimmed the Zuul body to get it low, and then bent the OEM sliders up to somewhat match the body's lines. The wheel base is perfect, and it's narrow where it needs to be, so in our opinion it's a great choice. There are quite a few photos of it in action on our IG page if you want to get different angles of the truck. Glad you like the video.

Freaking kick ass place to crawl dude! Def subbing and liking! Might have to build one of these just what I need another type of crawler to build feel like with the lcgs, a sporty and a bully ally but man these look very cool well yours does!

Eh, this is a Ti frame, and while it's lighter than the stainless version, it's not light like a carbon chassis. You can feel it pull on steep climbs, but moon buggies have a feel completely unique to their own style. I actually like them the most now, and we have a fleet of carbon chassis machines. The cool part is that without a body in the way, you can watch the machine work while it navigates the rock. We went from 1 moon buggy to 4 pretty darn quick. RC Speedy; check them out. Those are the green compound. It's fantastic on both our technical rock as well as our slick sandstone.

Ugh, indeed. Those outrunner motors are noisy! We've swapped out most of the electronics to much quieter ESC's. Last one to change over is the SCX-6.!

I have a couple spots that are super balanced and tippy. Love those lines..
It's always interesting to see how well a truck handles the transitions on the trail, and this VRD is very well laid out from Vanquish. They have their suspension geo pretty well nailed down in their product line.
