My wife and I meet with people often and we both speak to them. Sometimes we meet with another married couple. All of us speak on a personal level. Not saying that a teaching may not come up in those intimate gatherings. But it is not a place where I go with a teaching already in mind. Now for the last question concerning the watching of church from home. No one ever said that women can not sing, praise God, pray, share a testimony, etc... We are talking female leadership in biblical doctrine to groups including men. Spiritual authority over men. Just remember what Paul said, "If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord." In short, I tend to agree with you, but I am slow to judge others if they don't draw the lines in exactly the same places I do. I am also slow to judge others in extraordinary circumstances like a missionary in a distant land where the wife take a leadership role for a short time after her husband dies and no mature men are available. You do know that right after Jesus told them to have a sword. Jesus rebuked Peter for using the sword on a person, Matthew 26:52. While Jesus was being harmed by armed men at night. Example, I always carry a pocket knife. I would kill an animal in a heartbeat but a person made in Gods image? No. Not only are knives or swords good for protection from wild animals. The passage about a strong man guarding the house is a parable. Regarding demonic possession. As when Jesus compared Himself to a thief. Or as he compared His disciples to sheep. Or as He compared Himself to a door. The parable is not to be taken literal. He was talking about a spiritual matter but used a worldly matter to illustrate it. As Paul said, "The weapons of our warfare are not carnal." In the strong man passage talking about spiritual assailants, that requires spiritual weapons. As the passage came up from Jesus using spiritual weapons to cast out demons. Context is key.

James 2:24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. Now that we preface this comment with that verse. Now lets move on to what is biblically required on our part for salvation. 2 Corinthians 7:10 This says that godly sorrow produces repentance unto salvation. So we must repent of our sins before we can be forgiven. Luke 24:47 This passage uses the same terminology in the Greek, repentance unto forgiveness. A primary preposition, a transition into something. Thus it is obvious why, 2 Peter 1:9 Never mentions future sins but says we are cleansed from past sins. All it says is that we are cleansed from our old sins. Jesus fulfilled the sacrificial system right? Well, lets look at the sacrificial system to see what He fulfilled. According to Numbers 15:22-31, there is only sacrifices at the Temple for sins committed in ignorance. Anyone who sins predumptiously or willfully must be cut off from the people. Those animal sacrifices were replaced by the sacrifice of Jesus. So the same format is followed. The whole idea of the passage of Hebrews 10:1-31 is that instead of needing numerous animal sacrifices for sins committed in ignorance. He covers it all. In the Old Covenant, sacrifices were only for ignorant sin or sin that we have repented of, those who commit willful sin are cut off from the people. That parallels to Hebrews 10:26. Matter a fact the whole idea of a covenant is conditional. A covenant is a contract, there are 2 sides. Jesus already did His part. Question is, will you do your part now? Always remember, Jesus said to 2 different people, "Go sin no more." Of course you can only stop doing sins that you know that you are committing. That statement does not apply to sins committed in ignorance. Ignorant sin His blood covers, willful sin breaks the Covenant or contract. Jesus' blood does not cover willful sins unless you stop committing them. That is repentance. Without repentance, there is no salvation.
