removing debris from ioniq cabin fan
Просмотров 8423 года назад
If your HVAC create fluttering noise when you turn the fan on High, you might have some debris that got through the filter into the fan. Maybe someone who change the filter for you were not careful enough and drop something from the top of the filter into the fan. DO NOT REMOVE METAL CLIP. IT IS BEING THERE TO BALANCE THE FAN

my 2020 didnt have release clips on the left side of the filter door, just the right side. The left side just had a tab that fits into a slot
They might changed it a bit. Mine in the video is the original 2017 Hybrid SEL model.

Whats the solution for this problem?
What problem?
I mean I have same problem with my Hyundai ioniq how to get rid off that sound and warning lights?
@@guaping2012You might need to be more specific. What kind of noise, when did you hear the noise, what light, does it flashing, etc. The first thing you should do is plug in an ODB scanner. It will give you a code, and you can google to learn more of what is going on. It could be thousands different things, sensor failures, air in the system, etc.
You put the airflow upside down
@@tomeleron4531 do you have reference for that? Are you saying the air flow up?
sounds like picket fencing
Never heard the term before, what is it? What causes it?
@@55ting55 Simply put, picket fencing occurs when the signal undergoes 'multipath propagation', wherein for whatever reason, the signal propagates at a different path than usual, and by the time it enters your receiver; you get that choppy distortion sound. It can happen for a few reasons but that's the typical cause. It could also have to do with your location and weather conditions that affect signal propagation. It typically happens more with VHF frequencies. (30MHz - 300MHz)
@@2000gecs Thank you, will try researching on the topic. In my case it seems like something with this RD-5R. If I use the RT-3S to transmit, I don’t have the picket fencing sound on the RD-5R.
@@55ting55 You may want to look into some different antennas too! What's the frequency range of your RD-5R?
@@2000gecs it is VHF/UHF DMR/FM radio. Normally I use it in the UHF band, 434-435 MHz mostly.
Amazing car! Show us something we dont know ;)
Merci ✅
Nice video, it's ok to speak when you make these videos
I made this video during my very first year in the U.S. Trust me, it was best without my strong accent.
He went slow enough so that Master Electrician could figure it out. Thanks. I failed at HVAC and Plumbing.
Thanks!
Thank you❤
Do you place the Jack on the actual rail with the two markers on it so it only touches that rail or in the space (rectangle) closer to the exterior of the car ?
On the actual rail.
Great video!
is that where you can put a cold air intake at ?
Huh? What cool air intake? There is nothing in that box except engine air filter.
Thanks for this. Very well done video.
Thanks for posting this video
Thanks a bunch!
Is that a roach?
Nope, LOL. It is something falling from an Oak tree I’ve been parking underneath.
Wow, it’s much easier than I expected. Thanks for the video.
Hello i have same car, can you tell me which type of coolant you used ? please
I use generic 50/50 coolant PEAK 50/50 Prediluted Antifreeze and Coolant for All Engine Cooling Systems a.co/d/3H4ZGeF It is NOT what what recommended in the manual. Use it at your own risk. THE MANUAL REQUIRED FOR HYUNDAI COOLANT. YOU CAN BUY IT AT THE DEALERSHIP.
Thank you
So irritating how we can't fast forward these videos. Why Google, why?
😏👍
Then what ? Explain please cause I have a low beam pigtail that won't stay lit on my 2011 silverado LT 5.3 ENGINE
This is how to remove the terminal connector out of the plastic holder in case one want to change the halogen bulb to LED. I have no idea about the Silverado.
You should make more videos, they are extremely well done!
I love how you slow everything down. Really great video!
Is that the same coolant did you use with the other resavor? Because they have two right?
Yes, both ICE and Inverter coolant are the same.
@@55ting55youre completely wrong, they use different coolant, they don't mix each other either.
why did u top up?
Just a routine maintenance after changing oil. It might get below “min” in the next 7,500 miles. So, top it up and forget it until next oil change.
@@55ting55 oh ok, i think it came with that level when i bought it and they topped it up after the first inspection / oil change. Never had any "new to nearly new car" burning coolant. :) By the way, what's your current consumption? How much KM/Miles did you already drive? All ok with your IONIQ?
@@r0ck3tdr1v3r all time average is 55MPG about 60 in the summer and 50 in the winter.
@@55ting55 hi thanks , do you put same coolant for both sides thanks ?
@@YousafKhan-uw4lr I always keep both tank level between Max and Min, and yes they are both the same coolant.
Thanks man
Same as previous comments, I wasn't able to find this green Hyunday coolant at my usual store for car parts, I had to buy it from the dealership
I have a 2017 Blue drive hybrid. Are these instructions the same? Thank you sir
They are all the same for all Hybrid and Plug-in
Thank you
Replaced mine with a K&N.
How is it?Getting better mpeg?
@@jinsmathew100 average 45 mpg after 100k miles.
Is there a big difference in mpg after installing K&N? Thank you
@jinsmathew100 When I got it brand new in 2019, I got 60 mpg. 100k miles later, it's 45 mpg. I do feel the horsepower in sports mode. It sounds better also.
Do you know how frequent does it need to be replaced?
It’s depends on a lot of variable. How dusty is the surroundings, how much you drive, etc. my recommendation is inspect it every 6 months. You can clean it by using a vacuum cleaner, if it isn’t that dirty.
I need help
Do anybody know
What's the name of the fucking brand
Thank you for showing such details of replacing the filter! 👍🏻
Thank you!
I am searching how to put my ioniq ev on 4 jack stands too, did you found the best method ?
Nope, I still can’t do that. However, I don’t need to. If I wanna change oils, I use ramp. If I wanna change tires, I jack it up corner by corner. To rotate tires, I use two jack.
When replacing the filter you can easily switch to a better (active carbon) filter. Bosch makes one that fits perfectly. If leaves have found their way into the system - on the top side of the used filter - a vacuum cleaner can be used to remove them before removing the filter.
to put it on jack stand i ended up doing this. i drove the ioniq up on rhino ramps. front bumper is low and it barely cleared. once on the ramps you can see the sub frame . i put a floor jack there and jacked it up till the front tires were high enough to pull out the ramps. once high enough i took the ramps out and then put jack stands where the side jacking points are and lowered it onto the stands for the rear , i used 2 floor jacks and put one on each of the control arms and jacked it up evenly at the same time. then i put jack stands on the rear jacking points and set it down on those . now this woks great assuming you have rhino ramps and 2 floor jacks. my ioniq has 30k on it now and i have done it 5 times already this way with no issues . i have to do my 2020 civic the same way. the subframe is in the rear now and the car is so low its hard to get a floor jack under it without putting it on ramps first
My radiator broke and all the inverter coolant leaked out! Can i just pour the coolant back into the inverter without bleeding? Or is it the same as a coolant?
Is this for Ioniq 28 kwh EV or?
My car is a Hybrid, but I believe all the ioniqs are the same on brake system.
But what type, brand did you use, it's also green, is it what the dealership use as well or just a generic coolant brand? Thanks
The best coolant is Hyundai coolant, you can buy it at the dealership. However, I didn’t use it. I use peak 50/50 generic coolant. P.S. I’m not responsible for any damage this might cause to your vehicle. I’m just answer your question and have no intention for you to follow.
Can you do a full coolant flush?
I’ve never done that, but it shouldn’t be difficult.

Hi, i saw your postings on Ioniq forum, thanks for that. Just a question here. Is it possible to change the brake fluid, without the calibration? If i take all the air out of the system, then why it needs to calibrate? This question is also for the Actuator. If i make sure to suck out DOT fluid without air coming in, then i do not need the Hyundai software for calibrate ? Looking forward to your response.
No you don't need the GDS to calibrate. If the car drive perfectly and no air was introduce during the exchange process, you are good. I've been doing a quick change without GDS for a while now, just because it's easier.
How do I make sure I don’t introduce air into the system? I intend to use a syringe to suck out the old fluid and just put the same amount back
How did you reach the cap? It’s a tight space
