Trendmicro Airshield Pro LiO Battery Replacement Hack
Просмотров 1,8 тыс.5 лет назад
Trendmicro Airshield pro lithium Ion battery replacement. 3.7V, 5000mAhr 26650 LiO batteries, battery holder and charger. The batteries get generally good reviews and there do not appear to be any reviews reporting safety issues. I easily get 12 hours of continuous use with no noticeable degradation to air flow. I am not affiliated to EBL in anyway and take no responsibility for any negative is...
Isn’t the Airshield 6v? I’ve never checked but 5-AA Nimh at 1.2.
I have a question. Can I use the nicad battery charger to charge the lion batteries?
Does this still charge using the normal charger? I just ordered one, I might do this hack right out of the gate. I was also thinking about trying to make a belt battery pack to take the weight off the head entirely.
Ah duh, I can see you have to swap them out and charge them in a cradle. Well, that definitely puts me in a mind of making a belt pack.
Yeah it’s not the most convenient and the lio battery still weighs down the helmet. A belt battery pack would be best.
Someone on Thingiverse has a 3D printed belt "box" that accepts a Milwaukee M12 battery and a potentiometer to reduce the voltage.
George, thanks for the post. It's sad that for the price Trend doesn't provide a better battery and charger. Shame one has to modify a $400 tool. I was about to abandon mine because frequent battery replacements are vexing (and expensive).
Hi Rick, Yeah, would not be so bad if the batteries werent so crazy expensive and lasted more than a couple years. Been on these lithium batteries for over a year now with no degradation, 8 hours use per charge. I am going to upgrade to the 3m versaflo if bowl sales are good this year.
I wonder if I was to give you a photo of something, would you make it... and at what cost? I'm thinking subwoofer isolation pads. Yes, I'm that Steve Service...
Hi Steve Service. How the hell are you? The rubber is pretty dense, dont think it will isolate all that well. Aren't you too old to be amping the bass? :). I tried making it softer but its too sticky and you cant mold it very well. Where are you living now?
@@gbjab This is my eighth year in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Teaching Digital Design and Service Learning. It looks like Squamish is treating you well! You are never too old to amp bass...
