I love your bag Christine. I think I will buy the pattern now that I have seen it made up. . My buttons are all in jam jars , the jam with the gingham lid.
Hi Christine, I’ve just purchased an overlocking class at Abakhan. I have used my overlocker loads but not for anything other than basic overlocking and a little bit of gathering so I’m doing the second class. Shrewsbury is my closest store but Mostyn do the same classes. Of course this is meaning I will get a discount for in store so it would be rude not to use is 😉. Maybe you could tie it in with an Anglesey trip? Also Rachel from Stitched up didn’t like her fabric from her box but it was the other colour way which you might prefer, maybe you could trade or maybe you could could dye the fabric so that the base was a better colour for you? Showing people how thinking outside of the box could give you many more options. Dying another fabric at the same time or even tie dying one could be fun but it’s probably better to have something in mind (co ord set?) before experimenting. Great to see your organisation… I struggle with this, I never know what to put where and with what. I think I have a good idea that seems to be practical but it’s usually difficult for me to maintain or I give up half way through 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️. X
Your bag is gorgeous Christine 😍
Hi Christine, you have been very busy indeed. The jogging pants look great, and the green pair fit well. I have a similar storage system for my small cones of machine embroidery threads. It never occurred to me to use it for my buttons. Your bag is beautiful, and you have inspired me to purchase the pattern. Your sew -a- long sounds amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas.❤😂🎉 🇦🇺 🪃
Hi Jess, the plateaus are my go to jogger pattern. Hope to see you join in the sew along xxx
Your bag has turned out great …and lovely fabric
@@charlottemcgregor1011 thank you I’ve definitely got the bag bug🤣
I have the same type of container for my buttons - I have tried many storage containers but these work the best for me - and I have a serious button problem - I have thousands -oops.
Wow thats some button stash xxx
Your bag is 😍😍😍
@@SewLikeDotty thank you, I feel the bag bug coming on xxx
My vote is option 2
@@AC-cb6oh the Miranda is a great free pattern xxx
I vote for the "Mariko top from Notches".. That looks interesting! Love your sewing room ideas-and your bag is beautiful!! :+)
@@ladylouise1969 yes it has some interesting details xxx
Christine remind me of the pattern for your gorgeous top please the one your wearing
Its the Toaster Sweater by Sew House Seven heres the link sewhouse7.com/collections/all-sewing-patterns/products/the-toaster-sweaters
Wow! That bag is amazing, you're right to be proud of it. Busy as always. X
@@annettefarmer7414 thank you lots of bag ideas in my head now. Will share them on Thursday xxx
Oops, I've bought fabrics, too :-) Both are purchased to make up a new pattern, so intentional purchases. Love your bag. I will have a look at that bag pattern. I also have WIP, including 2 pairs of trousers cut out but not started. They are on my plans for this week. However, I have a new sewing machine arriving tomorrow, so that may distract me, just a little :-) I am looking forward to the Summer in New York sewalong. I haven't made that pattern, so something different for me. My week 2 pattern choice is the Moriko Dress and top - Notches
Good luck with the new machine today xxx
Moriko top has my vote but will gladly watch any of those tops.
@@Amazingeditz4 I can’t wait to give it a try xxx
Your bag is super and your new fabric is stunning 🤩 All 3 tops are interesting, got to go with the Miranda, love to hack it into a dress. Thanks for the video, very tempted by the sewing table 😀
@@julieandrews1434 Yes I’ll be hacking the Miranda this summer. The table does take a while to build but so worth it for the money xxx
My vote is for the Miranda top, because I love the shape detail on the front. Great bag, and I adore your jogging pants.
@@marionmathews9852 hi Marion, the Miranda is a good top I’ve made several xxx
Your bag has turned out fantastic Christine, glad the Summer In New York won, it’s one of my favourites. I think the Moriko Top would be a great sew along I haven’t seen that pattern before and it looks to have some very interesting line. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕
@@dbdesignsandsewingaustrali5668 thank you Deb, I feel lots more bags being made this year. The Moriko is interesting xxx
What fabric did you use for your toaster sweater and joggers. What a great set of outfits to wear.
It’s fur backed sweatshirting so lovely and snugglh
@ not heard of that before. Where can you buy it?
@@dianekelsey8910 it’s also called alpine fleece. 1st for fabrics have some in here www.1stforfabrics.co.uk/product-category/alpine-fleece/
@ Thank you x
Sadly I don't think my machine would cope with making bags. My vote is for the Miranda top.
@@judimccafferty8213 my old brother wouldn’t either🙁
Happy New Year 2025! I like the Tiana’s Closet top for myself.
@@teresas8238 happy new year to you. Great choice xxx
Great vlog as always Stitched Up got the box and the fabric and the flowers were brown not black she didn’t like it perhaps you could swap? Love the bag you made ❤❤
@@lindaboby6007 thanks but I will use it just not sure what for atm. Xxx
Very interesting storage solutions. I am interesting in the stacking one with the wheels. Can't see on line how tall the boxes are on the storage boxes and wondered if I would be able to stand paint tubes in them, but not sure if they are going to be tall enough. How tall are they approximately? Thank you. Your bag is just lovely
@@janevellenderartist hi the storage boxes measure 10cm tall by 9 cm wide and 8 cm deep so not huge
@@The_Gemini_Stitcher Really helpful thanks so much
The bag is lovely. I've ordered the Teloujay 3 bag, but still need to get all the gear for it. Will watch your bag episode with interest.
@@Yorkygirl59 I looked at that one but preferred the slanted zipper detail xxx
The Miranda top is my choice. Thanks for the storage solutions.
@@jandimarco3113 great choice I love that too xxx
My choice for the blouse beginner sew a long is number 3 the jersey. The bag looks super xx
@@carolwright6190 thank you you’ll see it in the flesh on Wednesday xxx
Your bag looks amazing 😊
@@julesduff7238 thank you I’m very proud of it 😁
Christine, I had surgery six days before Christmas so I got way behind on watching Vlogmas videos but I wanted to tell you your Christmas dress was lovely! Happy New Year.
Thank you hope your recovering well and taking care of yourself xxcx
Wish I could knit
There are lots of beginner videos on youtube so give it a go xxx
I sew along with having a full time job and chronic fatigue so shame is totally useless for me. Instead I have project management. A bunch of things from my 2024 plans weren't done in 2024, and that's fine. Having shirts precut to grab and work on is nice when I have shirt levels of energy. I have to be realistic that a shirt will be the best part of a month. I only have one wip at complete UFO risk, so that one I just have to live with.
You do really well to sew and work full time. Being retired gives me lots of time to be creative so I feel your pain. Work just gets in the way xxx
Not sue if anyone has asked but what was the pattern for the sleeve on the blouse please?
Hi it was the Fitzroy Blouse by Liesel and Co heres the link oliverands.com/shop/digital-fitzroy-blouse-sewing-pattern.html
Fabulously inspirational. ❤
Hope ive inspired you to create your own capsule xxx
Your Francesca is lovely x
Thank you I love it xxx
As soon as you said Francesca blouse, I groaned and said (to no one!), i hope she interfaced that rotten ruffle! 😜 I need to unpick mine too, but I’m having trouble finding the bother to do it. I love what you did with the sleeves, they’re much nicer than the originals. Your capsule is fabulous! Especially love your cardi!

Haha that ruffle is rotten your right xxx
Wonderful Christine 😍 what a beautiful collection. I love the Francesca blouse, on my to do list, so good to see one ‘in real life’. Thanks for the interfacing tip.❤
Youll love the Francesca also check how love the neckline is as mine was a bit too revealing.
@ good to know, thank you
Your collection is fabulous , beautifully collated and sewn BUT your jacket is WOW …the piping detail seals the deal for me ! I have a piping cord attachment for my baby lock which has yet to be used .. you’ve inspired me to!
Yes the jacket has turned out great and will be nice and warm in the pure yorkshire wool fabric. Going to tackle my piping foot today, wish me luck xxx
@ hope your piping foot worked well ?
Beautiful clothes, very classy!
Glad you like them!
Hello Christine, you are adorable. I love watching your channel your makes are all beautiful. You have a knack for choosing the right fabric to go with the pattern. This capsule looks amazing and professionally done. When i first saw your inspiration vlog i thought ahhh how will she pull this off and you DID. Good on you. Must say that sweater the colour, the pattern just beautiful and you knit it in no time at all. Love all your makes. BTW also love your donkey kicks on yoir cat walk. Haha . Love you loads from Canada.
Hi thank you for all your kind words. This capsule was a challenge but one I really enjoyed getting my teath into. Hope i've inspired you to try your own capsule? xxx
Congratulations on a beautiful capsule wardrobe 😊😊😊
Thank you! 😊
Your capsule is beautiful. The cardigan is just outstanding. A lot of sewers knit also, so I appreciate it when people include their knitting projects. ❤ Actually I appreciate any reviews of handmade items. So excellent video. Thank you
Thank you, ive knitted for as long as I can remember and love it almost as must as sewing xxx
I love the way you've coordinated the fabrics and textures. Your Sezane collection is a winner.
Thank you I'll be wearing the trousers and blouse at my sewcial next week xxx
A great collection Christine, thank you for sharing. I gave finished my cardigan since seeing your initially. I have the blouse pattern and sone red viscose, i just need to get a wriggle on.
Well done hope you like it? Good luck with the blouse xxx
Wow. I love your cardigan ❤
Thank you, I do too , its so snuggly and warm in this cold snap xxx
Your collection is fabulous Christine…so inspiring. Thank you so much ☺️💕🧵👏Xxx
You are so welcome and thank you for watching xxx
Great pieces! Sewing in a capsule is definitely a great idea! ❤
I think so too! xxx
Love all your makes Christine, well done. As I'm also 5ft it's interesting to see the alterations you make. I especially like the blouse and trousers, they look great, especially round the bum. As they're button up, are they easy to undo when you go to the loo? Just love them all..... X
Hi Annette, the button up trousers are a bit more fiddly to undo that a traditional zip but you only open them at one side, so just 4 buttons to open on a desperate loo run xxx
So enjoyed this series . What a great idea.
Thank you I think capsules are the way forward for me xxx
Great choices. Fantastic look
Glad you liked it!!
Wowzers! Great job and my fave is that amazing blouse. I must have one❤
Thanks Ill definitely make it again. Good luck with yours xxx
Love it ❤, love the fabric choices and how it works together. Well done Christine ❤
Thank you. Its a very wearable capsule xxx
