So after you buy the science, the button itself is still greyed out?? or the button is not there at all? Either way, check specialpower.ini "RequiredScience" input to make sure it matches the general's power science buying menu science.ini input. if it's a building or unit, make sure the "prerequisite" has the "Science ="

I added a switch button to the doser so I can add more buildings in the future I made an upgrade, command button, command set and the boss general.ini I made everything correctly and used the usa doser button image But in the game the switch button isn't available (it exists but not available) What did I do wrongly in your opinion?
This is a common mistake. I'm thinking either you didn't change the upgrade in the commandbutton, or the moduletag is missing on the unit/upgrade on moduletag doesn't match the commandbutton. Finally I found the error It was something else Behavior = ProductionUpdate ModuleTag MaxQueueEntries = 1 End As I said before I did it for the dozer and I forgot that the dozer has no upgrades Thank you for your help and I appreciate it

Hello, Thank you for your inquiry and I am honored by this request. This sounds like a tremendous GRAND plan, and sounds wonderful! Unfortunately, I am going to have to decline. I do not have the time for such a long and tedious adventure. However, I'd happily act in an advisory role. For example, that is a very ambitious mod and with even that little of detail I foresee that you may run in to several HARD roadblocks within the limitations of the Zero Hour itself. For example, if you remove the original 12 generals and add more you are going to have to write the AI script for them to use from scratch. I'm not even sure you can add new general AI, nor am I sure what the MAX generals sides is. (this is circumvented by basing new units around units in the game so the AI can recognize them as is) Another limit I recently learned upgrades,ini maxes out at 128 entries, which means some other ini files also have that limit but idk which; additionally this means you'll have to plan your "upgrades" around that limit. There may be graphic limits too, as the game engine is rather poor, and OLD - it is NOT meant to support HD graphics and in doing so is taxing. This is why mods like ROTR,SHOCKWAVE and CONTRA crash in high unit situations. <3

Is it possible to make a CH 47 chinook bird drop soldiers while they are in the air, like a parachute drop, without using ropes? Is there an easy way to modify the control bar instead of modifying the ini directly? Thank you for giving me a little of your time
You can edit the controlbar by cloning the control bar image and just editing the image. The game takes files in the folders as top of load order priority. As for "Realistic explosions", you'll need new graphics (borrow from other mods) but you COULD edit the Daisy cutter/MOAB/Aurora explosion which I personally think looks real and just make it smaller, last longer, ect (thesewould be FXList & Particlesystem new inputs you would need to create via trial and error). I have gotten the chinook do a paradrop but it acts weird still, and it's a weapon not a load it up with units to drop :(

I'm not sure really - but I have an idea. In locomotor.ini, find infantry's locomotor - perhaps add "water" to the "surfaces" so it looks like this: Surfaces = GROUND WATER Maybe that will work? cant say let me know if that works!

Hey Janus, quick question, do u know how can we disable fog of war and all that stuff? I want to check on my AI opponents cause I'm modifying skirmish scripts and I want to know if things are working or not.. And also, if u have any advanced knowlede on scripting stuff, it would be cool if u started some tutorials on this matter.. Its a bit confusing for us new modders to understand how the f we can create and control seperate teams by using "this team" etc..
I personally edit "ShroudClearingRange" & "VisionRange" on the commandcenter by adding like 1 or 2 0s. That's actually how I do my FULL map for Boss/Kane General - the internet center can see the whole map. lol as for your scripting stuff, yeah it is VERY confusing and tedious. I am personally not well versed with worldbuilder stuff (I personally found it's a SLOW process). However, I may be able to do some I never did any research for help with scripting. However, I am starting to get into reading maps. I recently got boss in general's challenge to work in my mod BUT, I can't get it to work in a fresh install :(. haha - RetroArch can sync up with retroachievements. This opens up achievements for many games, most emulated games have some. More so for games before ps2 than not ^_^. I assume it was 8 red coins for this level, just a common one I noticed.

Can you explain the vet up system like the difference butween a vet 1 gat tank and a vet 3. And what is the max fire rate of a quade cannon or a gat tank
you can find these values in the gamedata.ini under "weaponbonus" as these values may be different in my modded game. WeaponBonus = VETERAN RATE_OF_FIRE 120% WeaponBonus = VETERAN DAMAGE 110% WeaponBonus = ELITE RATE_OF_FIRE 140% WeaponBonus = ELITE DAMAGE 120% WeaponBonus = HERO RATE_OF_FIRE 160% WeaponBonus = HERO DAMAGE 130% HealthBonus_Veteran = 120% HealthBonus_Elite = 130% HealthBonus_Heroic = 150% Then in weapon.ini you can find these for the Gatling tank WeaponBonus = CONTINUOUS_FIRE_MEAN RATE_OF_FIRE 200% ; When the object achieves this state, this weapon gets double the rate of fire WeaponBonus = CONTINUOUS_FIRE_FAST RATE_OF_FIRE 300%

@@janusjaguar i only modificate the starting cash limit ($2M), yes is skarmish.
what is the base mod? that might be the issue :( or like how fast the units are built.

I did everything you said and did exactly before expertcrusader I did it with minigunner And added it to boss barracks instead of warfactory I replaced it with ranger at slot 1 But the game crushed Should I delete the ranger from boss or what?
Keep the ranger as it has other purposes in the game. Open "worldbuilder", it should lead you to your issue. if NOT, then you may have errored in the commandbutton or commandset.ini. Keep in mind, the littlest thing can cause an error, even a space in a wrong spot.
Okay World Builder starts normal but I can't find my unit in boss units So I think the problem is in boss general ability of using that unit What do you think is the problem? By the way I did it step by step while I Start the game It didn't crush before moding CommandSet
it would probably be commandset then. There's nothing that stops allowing a general to use a unit, but perhaps it something with a typo or name of the commandbutton in commandset?
It worked but I don't know how At the first time I edited the original INIZH.big file and when I edited the commandset the game crushed Now I did the same thing but after extracting the ini files and it worked perfectly Can you tell me why that happened?
