Good job on the video. This will save me a lot of time as I dive into my horn, turn signal and ignition keylock issues on my 83 CJ5. Your vinyl insulator was a great way out of that problem. Thanks!
well done sir. no fluff all intelligent and well formatted for a real jeep owner in the mess. Thank you. I am sure if you made many jeep videos like this others will come to see more. You seem good with electrical components and wiring. A full rundown of the cab harness and how to reassemble would be so good coming from a guy like you who is detail oriented and explains it all.
Bypassed it all & put in a $10 old school hot rod / rat rod push-button on the dash. Too much screwing around for the little bit it got used. That said I still watched the whole video & you did solid work explaining it all 👏
Thanks for the video! Exactly what my issue was, local store didn’t have the inner contact, good thing I had a good spare, and used a spring from a click pen! Thanks again!
Great video. My old horn turn signal cam had the little plastic tower holding the spring and plunger contact broke off at the bottom of the plastic tower. The little plastic ring was just pressed in and had just enough tension to keep the spring from pushing out the contact/plunger. It pushed out by hand to remove. My new ring I bought Crown J4487711 does not have the slot or notch on top for the bayonet style key as yours did. However the plastic ring was to loose of a fit to keep the spring and contact in it. I put a thin coat of hot melt glue all the way round and slide it into position. It seems to hold well now. Also instead of the vinyl rings you made to isolate the tabs on the back of it, I just used three short pieces of electrical tape as that is what I already had on the old one. Stay safe, Merry Christmas.
I couldn't figure out how the little pin went in and was held in. I am usually pretty good with these things but this video really helped me figure it out. Thank you.
Great job. I have an 84 CJ7 and replaced the turn signal assembly. Horn is a mystery, this video helps. I hope to get the horn connected and functioning. thanks
Hi. Thank you for the great video! I am retrofitting the horn on my CJ7. When I bought it, there was no horn, cable or relay. Unfortunately, the relay came without a description of the pin assignment. Can you tell me how the assignment of the 3 pins is on the realis? Many thanks for the help!!
Mr. Wilson, great video with no hype, background music etc. Very informative how to. This helped me assemble the horn after replacing my ignition switch. Thanks a million.
Glad it helped you sir. Your comment and like made it worth the trouble of making it (which was solely made with the intent of helping a brother out). Thanks
Good video. Thanks for posting it.

Thank you. Just what I needed to fix my Jeep .
Love the age on that Jeep, most cj’s I see are restored eagles but I think their beautiful as is.
This is incredible. I have the same Jeep and same problem. Can’t believe it’s that complicated.
