Great tips! I was going to go straight to a 4-year college, but my irrational fear of owing money I don’t have and good advice helped me pivot to community college. I have been going part time, but so far everything is paid off. It does lessen the load, and I feel less stressed about the possibility of a loan when I will go for my Bachelor’s. Thanks for sharing!

What are your thoughts on a CD account?
As of right now at 24 years old - not for me. Right now CDs are offering around 5% rates (close to HYSA). I would rather put my money in an HYSA, just in case I need that money. Now if I had a boat load of extra cash and want to use it within 6 months or a year - then maybe I will put it in a CD. CDs are good, but there is usually better options with a HYSA or an Index Fund. Let me know what you think.
Your stocks do pay dividends ... aapl, nke, msft pay dividends but also, amzn will eventually pay dividends. They may not be "dividend stocks" but a lot of great companies also pay dividends. The Dividends also grow, which is another cool thing.
Yes 100% correct. By "dividend stocks", I was really trying to focus on those that pay a higher dividend. BUT yes to your point a lot of stocks do give out dividends, but they might not be as high - sorry if that point was confusing in the video.

A few questions tho, you mention that the money earned from interest is taxable, what does this mean in the future... is this a bad thing? 2) let's say if I absolutely have to take out some money from my savings account, will I still be able to earn interest from what's left in the account? Or if I put more money into it more frequently, is that a way to look at it by growing it "faster"? Thank you so much for your guidance!!
Being taxed on your savings is not a "bad thing". Since you are earning interest on your money and the bank is giving you extra money - that counts as income. Regarding your second question - you earn interest on what is IN your savings account. So if you have $1,000 and then take out $400 to pay a bill - you will still earn interest on that remaining $600. Now, if you put more money into the account then yes, you will earn more interest. BUT you have to make sure you keep the money in there. If you are concerned about growing money, look into investing (assuming you already have an emergency fund).
I'm not sure if you've explained in any of your other videos (this is my first video of yours that im watching)....but is it possible or if you can refer me to some content that explains all those terms like brokerage accounts, HYSAs, etc. and which apps to use for investing? Really appreciate the content!

What major did you take in college? Also I'm going into my senior year of high school, what advice can you give me about college majors or should I get into trade school?
If you don’t know what to do a good option is to become an essential worker like the medical field it’s kinda in a way future proofing because those jobs are always in demand and always be a need in society. One of the highest jobs in a trade school is radiology/MRI. They offer traveling gigs that pay really good and you even have the option to work part time/ per diem and focus on your craft on the side
Depends on your situation. I went to college BUT I had a full ride academic scholarship so it made sense. If you think you can afford college and will end up with a high paying job to pay for the degree then go. If not then explore trade school.
The most important thing I would say is don’t feel FORCED to go to college. And I know this is coming from someone that went to college but honestly you can start at trade schools or even community college without breaking the bank.
