My spirit animal is the girl at the top of the stairs in back. I’ve had the same reactions, same lyrical fur punches and same “self-hugs” at times. Good on ya girl!
This video really got me. Whilst most of the girls were excited and having a ball, the lady right at the back seemed rather removed, showing indifference to the song and video. And yet towards the end she clearly got very emotional and started to cry. I feel there was something about that song which was extremely personal, extremely close to her heart, most likely a bitter memory which she was desparately trying to overcome through-out the song. Her inner torment, held for so long was extremely touching. I sincerely hope she is never put in a position to feel such pain again. We, the viewer, could feel it. I may well be wrong but either way it she clearly shows the power of Taylor Swift and her music. For the record, I'm a 61 year old gent and simply love Taylor's music.
This was so beautiful to watch and like others I hope the sweet girl at the back is ok, her reaction was me when I first saw this and I was 50 years old but this took me back to my first heartbreak and I pretty much react to this song like this every time I hear it or see the video.
