What was the location of this flight, beautiful.
Thanks for bringing it up, I added it to the description too. Goderich, Ontario. You can park here maps.app.goo.gl/9UDsjLm8eYAZjHML6
Excellent 👍👍
That is awesome, great control over lift vs speed. Someday I hope to try a Moustache.
Beautiful, great for the time of year. Is this site open to the public?
Yeah it works all year long and yes it's open to the public. *No landing on the grassy field at 2:00 allowed.
@@TitusIV Thanks so much!
East point park in Scarborough
Love your flying videos!!
Do you keep a logbook?
Haha, no I've been flying for too long. The closest thing to a log I have is this RUclips channel.
@@TitusIV So, how do you know when to replace your wing?
@@MasterSwitch Personnally on average I would try to replace my wing every 5 years, you can push it to 10 but I wouldn't push it past it. It's really up to you and how you fly it, The more damages you cause the faster you'll need to replace it. Another best practice is to send it for check up by an expert once a year. Some pilots like to repair their wings, I don't trust myself and only let experts repair my wing. You can find all the maintenance services to paragliders by the expert I go to here: www.parafreddo.com/maintenance
amazing, what a contrast to the traffic-dune-du-pilat.
@@a.s.5280 Haha yes that's for sure 😂
Beautiful Place
Superbe
That's amazing
Wow
Beautiful place! Lucky to get a flying day in April too!
So Lucky ! it hadn't flown in months Xavier told me.
Looka like a nice day have not flown there in 2 years
Yeah it's a great place to go to when it's predicted to get blown out, you can top land anywhere unlike East Point's South take off.
Excelente voo de lift. Estampou tudo !. Bons voos.
De nada !
Good place
Really good video plus great music that makes even better.
Engineered redundancy biodegradable parachute cords and canopies! 😊 Bonne chance!

Please be careful of the “major attractors”, also. Those “!” exclamation marks are an example of a pretty tough one in the aviation game.
Fantastic video! Thank you!
Hi, i am a pilot from Brasil , when i go to Toronto if i take my wing will i be able to fly there or i will be asked for some kind of permit/license ?
Hello, there are no official sites around Toronto so nothing required, if you have a wing you can fly. I would get a Canadian license from HPAC though, send them a copy of Brasilian License so they can give you a Canadian equivalent With that you can have a 3rd party insurance. it's always best to be insured if you ever damage or hurt someone.
I have done some paragliding in India .. I am in Scarborough.. Can I join you? What your contact ?
Can you control the height and directions?
I can turn left and right and pitch up and down if that's your question, yes.
this wing can even accelerate to about 55Km/h and slow down to abount 20Km/h !
It's beautiful , amazing what you are doing.
It's beautiful.
Brought my paraglider from China. Can't wait to try it here back home
Good evening , my name Tarik , and what you are doing is amazing. Can you let me know if you're located in Scarborough please ? Thank you .
Hello Tarik, glad you like it :)! I’m located in Toronto. We fly at EP with winds between 19-27km/h SSW, S, SE and East. So if you check Windy for those conditions you might just catch us. I’m going to try to fly tomorrow but I still don’t know if I’m going to East point or Burwell. If I go to east point I’ll let you know. Also here is a link to WhatsApp so you can speak to most of the pilots in Ontario chat.whatsapp.com/GX8hwTuon0rBK9p1rMk8g4
Are there wind conditions that allow you to stay up for extended periods ? Wonderful finish by the way, had visions of you tangled in the branches of a tree.
absolutly, sometimes it's flyable all day from sunset to sunrise although it's quite rare. it's usually more like a few hours during the day !
We are two guys with paraglides looking for spots to enjoy the sport. What will be the maximum wind to flying there’s safe. Anyway supper video. We are from west side of Toronto, Milton
Hello there, it will depend on your level and how cross the wind is. Join Ontario's paraglider chat on Whatsapp chat.whatsapp.com/GX8hwTuon0rBK9p1rMk8g4, there is always someone to answer your questions. We've installed a weather station at EP www.ecowitt.net/home/index?id=61075, EP is flyable from 240 to 95 degrees (2 take offs) and between 19 to 26 km/h winds max 35km/h gusts.
Hi there. This is pretty good. What was that time the wind conditions or what is best wind to enjoy there?
Nice video! Where did you get your license? I started skydiving (B license) this summer but I'm looking to maybe get a paragliding license next summer. I live in montreal you have any school suggestions?
Thanks :)! I learned it in France a long time ago. There is a Paragliding club at Yamaska. Check it out, I have seen teachers training new pilots there. Hurry up though as the Yamaska club closes end of October for the winter. There is also a school at Mont saint Anne near Quebec city. They might be open all year. I also heard of a school near Mount Kaikoop, but I don’t know anything about it, it doesn’t seem as big as the other 2 mentioned above.
@@TitusIV Thanks a lot I'll check it out
What was the wind speed that day?
Border line too Strong, it was at it's weakest when taking off at around 25Km/h I'd say. but we clearly hit over 30Km/h at one point during flight.
It looks pretty smooth anyways.
@@mol5 the filming is smooth, but trust me it was bumpy 😆
Beautiful setting!
Nice landing! Tight spot, I'm thinking of going there this Friday, should be full on westerly wind and hopefully some nice colors too!
Thanks. It’s looking amazing friday indeed. I was planning on going Saturday but the conditions deteriorated 😢. Have fun !
Hi Titus let me know if you are planning to go on the nexts day iam planning to go
Hello, You can’t really plan to go fly there, to reach the bluffs you have to be there in very specific wind conditions . This is only my 4th flight there this year so far. It’s very rare to reach the bluffs. You can only take off from East Point with ESE winds to reach them. It’s a matter of luck, availability, flexibility and constantly checking the East point live weather station and forecasts. Planning to fly at East Point only would be more reasonable. Unfortunately, these days I’m in Montreal until early October. You can always ask on the ontario paragliding WhatsApp chat who’s going
1:42 Love the bird ⛄
Lokk like having lots of fun flying mate ✌👍
Nice view! I’m your fan now
What's the "legality" of flying off a place like this? Currently working on P2 course, but am interested in using this ridge in the future. Any bylaws to be aware of?
Not that I am aware of, otherwise I would fly there.
Nice flight Mate it look like you always alone to fly ? at least you flying here the season is late still no good flying days so far in rainbow
Haha, well this site is a bit remote, it requieres an hour hike to the top and avanced piloting. The other pilots tend to chicken out from such endeavours.
That’s a tight landing zone!
Love your videos!!!
wow that look like a challenging site and you did real good with your landing and deserve the applause from the crowds hehehheheh well done mate
Haha, thank you Xavier. The landing area is indeed a bit narrower than rainbow beach :P
Kinda sketchy in the last min
Hey I’m in Waterloo and would like to join a community of paraglides
Hello Stephen, sure thing, here is the link to our Whatsapp group chat.whatsapp.com/GX8hwTuon0rBK9p1rMk8g4
Hey! Im a pilot from the states, I attend University of Toronto and wanted to keep flying there through winter, was curious what the situation is. Is there a club for this site? You guys fly there frequently?
Hello, Join our whatsapp chat, you'll be able to speak to all of Ontario's paragliders :) ! chat.whatsapp.com/GX8hwTuon0rBK9p1rMk8g4
Hi Titus! This was an insane flight. I never imagined flying from there to the beaches would be possible. I recently got my P2 from Freedom Flight School in Lumby, BC. Also, this week I had my paragliding gear finally delivered after a 3 month wait! I live in Toronto and would love to check out east point park when there are other pilots around. I've never done ridge soaring, so this would be a new experience for me. Is there a group you guys use to organize? If so, I would love to be a part of it. Thanks ahead of time!
Hello there, glad you liked it, it’s not beginners friendly, make sure there is someone there before flying to get guidance. There is an Ontario paraglider chat on whatsapp: chat.whatsapp.com/GX8hwTuon0rBK9p1rMk8g4. See you there :) !
I hope i can watch you guys lnperson on your flight take-off and everything? when are the dates of time you normally go to fly?
Hello, unfortunately it's not up to us but up to the weather. For this site you need South or South west winds between 20 and 30km per hour to get a chance of potentially seeing a pilot. For me personally I live 1h30 away, so I only go there on weekends as a last option since it's far for me and I have options closer to me.
hi TitusIV when or what time do you normally go at East point I want to watch you lived when you taking off? Iam curious how hard it is and what it takes to learn the sports first hand info from you? I hope youll read my message I also subscribed on your channel I hoped it will grow bigger and have more views and inspires us to do these sports? I went to Eastpoint this morning but no one there maybe because its about to rain.
Hello there, unfortunatly you can't choose the when and time you want to fly. This sport is completly dependent on weather. You can check Windy for weather predictions at EP or this link www.ecowitt.net/home/share?authorize=PJ3HYP to know the current wind strengh and direction at EP. In order for us to fly, the wind needs to be constantly between 18-24km/h, not gusting over 35 and between 100 to 155 degrees for the East East Point take off as seen on the video. For the South East point take off we fly between 155 to 245 degrees. So if you keep an eye open on these conditions you should manage to see us. Also we don't fly when there are thunderstorm warnings or rain forcast.
@@TitusIV where in Scarborough can I practice ground handling or kiting?
@@TitusIV where is located the second take off & how to get there?
@@OttawaParagliding The second take off is visible at 3:06 in my video, you can see 2 persons seating at the edge. Before I reach it you can see a trail going there, it starts from the parking next to the first take off.
@@TitusIV thank you
great flight. the air looked pretty laminate. google maps showed close to 10 miles distance traveled.
wow that a great flight Mate how many Klm was that? The condition look perfect Well done
Hello Xavier, it was a 16km flight. the conditions where just perfect indeed. This is a rare flight to achieve in Toronto, even more rare in summer :)! all the best
yes that look like a bit windy heheheh but you did well and it was good to breathe after the landing heheheh✌
