It's hard to believe but I saw a documentary about their beginnings and early on they were so sloppy and undisciplined and didn't even make it out of London until they polished up their performances.

Don't know if it's really true or not once hear Stevie Ray's brother tried to get him to visit family after a concert and Stevie just looked at his brother and said, " You don't understand I have to go" then got on the helicopter that crashed.

These guys played for pennies for hours in Germany just for the opportunity to do what they loved and in the process they honed their craft and were more than ready when the door of opportunity opened.

I was lucky enough to see SRV play live a bunch of times. In the South, Midwest, Southwest, and It was weird because I never intentionally planned it out, but it always just happened. He was always in the city I was in. I've seen a LOT of concerts, and he was one of the best performers ever.

The drive that kicks in when Ringo and Paul start there is still incredible.

Even in his way too early death, such respect for his as well as his alive brothers playing skills. Talent as well as a tremendous amount of sacrifices to practice so many thousands of hours. Thankful for all the recordings of great artists preforming.
